We just finished our stay in DC and spent a couple of nights here. This is a wonderful place to stay if you need a kitchen and close access to the metro. We traveled with 3 adults and a toddler and found the location to be perfect. Located right across washington circle, we got off foggy bottom straight from DCA and within 5 minutes walk arrived at the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and the room is large with a pretty decent sized kitchen and everything you need to cook (our daughter has food allergies so we needed to make her some food). With Whole Foods being right next to the Metro everything was extremely convenient. Our queen sized bed suite had a queen sized pull out sofa. There is also a desk and a coffee table for eating. They had all the amenities in the bathroom and even fresh coffee beans in the kitchen. There is a full walk in closet as well so plenty of room for our entire party. From here we were also able to walk to both the Lincoln memorial and MLK (about 1 mile) and also walked to nearby restaurants including founding farmers. I would highly recommend this hotel to families who need access to a kitchen, market, and Metro! Note, this isn't a four or five star luxury hotel but they do try to do a wonderful job with all they had including having coffee and tea in the front during the morning and also a happy hour with some cheese and crackers in the afternoon. read more

You cannot beat this hotel for the value and location. The room sizes are huge and you get an amazing balcony and fully stocked kitchen. Ours was overlooking the circle and was so nice at night. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were always quick to help me when they saw me coming with my huge double stroller. I'd definitely come back and stay here on our next trip. Everything is pretty much literally in walking distance. I walked with the kids everywhere. The national mall, White House, Vietnam veterans memorial, etc. Very much looking forward to planning on coming back. read more

Stayed for one night Valentine's Day. Booked a Deluxe Double (basic) room under the Date DC Romance package, which includes early check in (12pm), late check out (2pm), fresh flowers in the room, a bottle of champagne, and a cute gift bag..check site for details lol But everything really helped make the stay more special. Free wifi in the rooms is a plus too. Upon check-in we were given a complimentary upgrade to what I later found out was a Circle View Suite (must be our lucky day), which offered a huge balcony with an unobstructed view of Washington Circle Park. The balcony was seriously the biggest I've seen at a hotel, if it were warmer out it definitely would have been useful. The room was huge and consisted of a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed, a full AND a half bathroom, living room, dining room, full (and stocked) kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher. There was a Whole Foods in walking distance, so cooking in ends up being a great alternative if you don't want to go out. The Circle Bistro restaurant looked very cozy and cute, heard the food was really good too. Service throughout the stay was friendly and very helpful, didn't even mind corking my champagne to take on the road! 1 star off for a minor annoyance- expensive valet parking ($40) and a bit of outside noise (you're right across from GW Hospital so, as mentioned, there are a lot of sirens.) No problem sleeping through it though. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again. read more

I stayed at this hotel because of the Yelp reviews but my experience was different: 1. I booked a King Studio Suite and requested to be on any floor between 7-9. I check in and I was told I'd be in a 2 queen bed suite on the third floor. I told the clerk what I had booked and basically stated that I was wrong. Once I showed proof of my reservation and what I had book, all of a sudden, he finds it and then gives me an excuse of "we don't have any King Beds ready" and that I would have to wait an extra hour for that. I had just got off work, I was ready to take a show and relax so I just took the damn double queen bed. 2. Consistent loud noise (literally every hour the entire stay) from the room above me. It was like they were moving furniture around. Every hour you'd hear someone sliding a big piece of furniture around. It pretty much made my room vibrate ..... that's how bad it was. 3. Mold on the bathtub and the shower curtains smelled like ass. I ran the shower for a bit so it could heat up. I go put my food in the kitchen, get undress, and I come back to what smelled like hot ass. When I further investigated, it was the bottoms of the shower curtains. They looked clean but they smelled like no cleaning product was used at all. 4. One of the power sockets didn't work so that was an I concur cow because I wanted to plug in something near where I'd be spending most of my time. 5. It's by the hospital so you'll hear emergency sirens allllllllll day and night. I already knew that so it didn't bother me as much. 6. Restaurant closed on weekends. That sucked but they offer a full kitchen so I guess you can cook your meals but wasn't expecting to have to do that. Pros: 1. The view is amazing. There's not a lot of hotels that have balconies and I chose this one specifically because it had one 2. Area is nice, not a lot of riff raf 3. I enjoyed the secured elevators. You need a keycard in order to go to the floors. Loved that. 4. Bed was comfortable as hell. 5. A/C worked well since outside was hot. A/C was very important on the weekend of my stay. 6. My stay was fantastic for several reasons, and I definitely would recommend this hotel! 1) They knew it was my birthday and surprised me with a complimentary upgrade, chocolate cake and wine waiting in my room! Also, the cake was amazing. 2) I got the valet parking package they offered online and it was so worth the deal. I would unequivocably recommend One Washington Circle to anyone visiting DC. 1. The service is first rate. The hotel staff go well beyond just being courteous. 2. The rooms are beautifully appointed, modern and tasteful. 3. The hotel has all the amenities you could want from hairdryers, irons, video games, cd player, high speed internet access, pots and pans-- all in room, to valet parking, a restaurant, pool and exercise room-- in the hotel. 4. Location. This was my main concern when choosing a spot to stay. It is less than a 2 block walk from the metro. It is a 6 minute, $1.35 ride to the Smithsonian Mall. It is also a few blocks from several great places to eat, and 15 minute straight shot walk to amazing Georgetown Restaurants. 5. The price is right. There is absolutely noother hotel in DC where you will get better value for your dollar. When you consider the quality of the rooms and service, the saftey of the neighborhood, and the easy access to the sites, this place is the clear winner. Don't be fooled by any place that may appear to have better prices-- you have to factor in all costs, such as taxes, which are 14.5% in DC and parking. All included, our stay was $168 per night. Every room in the hotel is a suite- this means each room has a full kitchen and a large dressing room/bathroom, in addition to sleeping quarters. read more

I cannot NOT give them 5-stars after this past weekend I had with them. I was originally quoted $149 as a "special group rate" price, but then I went directly to their hotel website and noticed that a queen studio suite with equipped kitchen would only be $92/night. Since this is only 2 blocks away from GWU, I immediately booked. I was already quite happy with my purchase before I arrived, but then my level of amazement just kept rising throughout my 4-day stay. I was somehow lucky enough to get the penthouse suite (and my pricing did NOT increase) and my room was GINORMOUS. The bed was queen-sized, I had a spacious living room, plus office area and a fully-stocked kitchen that came equipped with toaster, coffee-maker, full-size fridge, utensils for cooking, microwave, cups, plates, bowls, you name it! The spacious walk-in closet really made my day. I also noticed they seemed to design the room applying feng shui principles too. They have a 24-hour fitness center on location - it is small, but has everything that you need: one bike, one treadmill, and one elliptical with a total body workout weight machine. Their lobby area is awesome - complimentary business center and coffee (and it tasted better than Starbuck's). The staff members here ALWAYS took care of my needs whether it was requests for toothpaste, a wake-up call, having transportation ready for me at a set time ... apparently none of my requests were too "out of reach" for them and they always assisted me with a smile. Definitely the type of service you look forward to having when you are away from home. Their location is central to absolutely everything - I stocked up at Trader Joe's (only a 5-minute walk away) and then cooked in my kitchen. I was in a rush in the morning so I wasn't able to do my dirty dishes - what a surprise that the housekeeping staff took care of this when they were cleaning my room! I definitely made sure to compensate them well for their services, they went above-and-beyond my expectations (And yes, make sure to TIP your housecleaning staff at the end of your stay!!!). Many people don't know to do this. The only negative thing that I can say I didn't enjoy was the constant sirens that would wail throughout the day and night - you are located about 1.5 away from 2 hospitals so this noise is very frequent. read more

Just finished staying at this hotel. Staff is knowledgeable and courteous. A good looking front desk man gave us a room on the top floor ;). The doormen and anyone we came across were friendly and always said hello, willing to assist or answer questions. Ordered room service. Their Circle Bistro is delicious and worth the price. The location of the hotel is convenient and in a nice neighborhood, as it is within walking distance of the White House and Georgetown (and a Starbucks across the street!) The room was not perfect regarding cleanliness.. But it was not filthy and was overall in good shape. The beds were comfy. It is very convenient having a kitchen with a full fridge,coffee maker, oven, stove and microwave. Some missing items may be a spatula (since breakfast is commonly made?) and a sponge (we bought our own) but we could work around that. The gym has all the basic necessities and then some. Got a good work out. The biggest issue was the sirens but that's a bit hard for them to control. The hotel is across from a hospital so expect many alarms. Also.. Although we really enjoyed our room, it could use a bit of a renovation. I was thoroughly impressed the whole time we were there. The staff was so nice and the place was clean. Then we get home and there is a $250 charge for "smoking in the room." No real evidence provided. The manager says she saw it and there is photo proof of something that was never done. This supposed "photo proof" has yet to be provided. We are smokers and we left cigarettes behind so I can only assume they planted this so called evidence because we never smoked in that room. It is absolutely ridiculous that are stuck with a fee for something that never happened. This will be disputed because this is an absolute lie. We planned on staying here again if we ever came into town, but I will never ever stay somewhere that charges you for something that never happened just because we signed a waiver. I am livid and this is right before Christmas so thanks for that! They also charged us $45 for a parking fee. They parked my husband's truck directly in front of the hotel, not even in a real parking spot and then made us give them the key. This was just the beginning of their money hungry tactics. Update: we now have "photo evidence" of "smoking in the room". They have also decided to say that we broke a lamp which is also a complete lie. When we left there was nothing broken in that room. I wish I had taken my own pictures, but I didn't think I would have to prove my innocence. The pictures below are of the pack of cigarettes I left behind which was apparently enough for them to stack on a $250 charge for something we didn't do. We also did not break this lamp! I am absolutely disgusted by the lies of this hotel. They saw 4 young out of towners who smoked (in the designated smoking area outside, I might add) and took advantage of us. 2nd update: Teresa, who said that they have "photo evidence of ashes on the bed" can all of a sudden no longer find said photos after we told them we absolutely did not smoke in that room and will be disputing the charges. Hmm.. Therefore, they've decided to refund the asanine $250 smoking fee. THOSE PHOTOS NEVER EXISTED, TERESA, BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED. I cannot believe that a company would put someone through all of this. What a slimeball hotel. read more

Our hotel stay was supposed to be from Friday night through Monday morning. We got there early, like really early, Friday before 9a early. I asked if they could hold our bags and they said they could do us one better and give us a room and upgrade us. The rooms were nice. Nothing crazy. Just clean, comfortable, and we liked the layout. Every single member of the staff was friendly and the fact that they would hand us a glass of wine every evening we were there complimentary was nice. Cannot recommend enough. I stayed here before an interview at GW hospital, which was just a quick 5 minute walk from the hotel. I arrived around 5pm (check in is at 3pm) and the staff quickly gave me my room. There is also a happy hour that happens in the evening in the lobby until 6pm where there is wine and cheese, so I was offered to attend that which was nice. I received a room on the 9th floor (top floor) and it was quite large, it even had two balconies. The view was also very nice. Having paid about $100 with taxes for the night, I was very much impressed. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a coffee maker in the room as well as a couple water bottles and tea bags. Since I drove down, I had to leave my car with the valet overnight (no self park option) which was kind of pricey at $42. They do let you keep it there until about 4pm the next day even though check out is at noon which was nice since I came back for it after my interview. They also held my bag for me so I could also change afterwards. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely consider coming back next time I'm in DC! read more

This place is great, and the staff are AMAZING! I stayed here 3 days - and let me tell you - after spending the majority of the past three months jumping from hotel room to hotel room - this place was GREAT. For so many reasons. Allow me to 'splain. The room: The room was spacious, with all the amenities you could ever ask for - full size kitchen and fridge, microwave...pretty much a one bedroom apartment. If you are a family looking for a place to stay that is close to everything, but allows you the opportunity to save a few bucks by making your own meals in house, you have found your place. The bed was super comfortable, almost to the point that I had trouble getting out of it in the morning. Also, it had great linens. Recently during my hotel hopping, I've noticed that peeps are really skimping on the linens these days, and in colder weather, I'm chilling to the bone in the evening with only a simple sheet and coverlet - not the case here. Once again, I was a total Kelly burrito! The location: Location is great - totally accessible to public transportation (GWU metro is only one block away) and there are buses all over. There is a valet parking situation, which I cannot comment on since I didn't utilize it. Back to those wanting to use the fridge/kitchen, there is a Whole Foods and Trader Joes one block away for all your shopping needs. There are plenty of restaurants within a block (Supergreens, Burger Tap and Shake, etc) and a Starbucks right around the corner to help you get your daily fix. I felt totally safe walking to all of these locations; the sidewalks are well lit. There is also a covered driveway in front of the hotel, which makes it easy for Uber/cab to pick you up without you having to brave the weather elements of DC. The University hospital is across the street, so there some siren noise, but not more than normal city-living would expect. The staff: Again, I must say the staff are outstanding! I was there for an interview, and they wished me well on the way out the door and were super supportive and helpful throughout my stay. In my traveling, I've come to learn how much having great people at a hotel makes the difference in my travel journey...and these are some good people. They were caring, kind and very helpful. Thumbs up! The cost: I must tell you, reading through the other reviews - I was surprised. I did NOT pay $300/night for this hotel - I booked it through a third party vendor and spent 1/3 as much...which made the deal even sweeter. We've had such a great experience here so far. We came in for Labor Day weekend with our two small dogs and this hotel is awesome! I personally have pretty high standards when it comes to hotels and I have to experience a single issue. They even sent up a bottle of wine because we were celebrating our last trip before our wedding aka.. One final stress free weekend ;) Upon check in they met us in our room with complementary dogs beds, dog dishes, and TOYS for our boys! I've never seen such a dog friendly/ LOVING hotel. There are TONS of great parks in this area to walk to( all dog friendly) and we all even visited the White House which was a 15 min walk away The rooms might not be "super" modern but they are HUGE. A full kitchen, huge bedroom, walk in closet, dining area, and plenty of room for everything. The bistro downstairs has a very nice selection for food and they've been so accommodating for our poolside snack requests. The two people at the desk were friendly at check-in and I had a good feeling about the place. But then the next day a random guest walked into our room, so I accompanied her down to make sure they weren't going to go giving our room out to anyone else. Then I had to go back down because our keys had been reset after the mix up. They seemed sorry, but I didn't really get reassurance about why it happened so that they could keep it from happening again. That had us on edge. We were hoping it was a fluke, but the woman who walked in on us said it was already the second try: her first room hadn't been cleaned up yet, so they had assigned her another one... ours. Then our A/C had to be fixed. The filter was filthy and had frozen up. Once the maintenance guy (he was great) cleaned it and changed the filter, it stayed nice and cool. We picked the place because it was dog-friendly, but if we have to worry about his safety and the security of our property in case a random person walks in with a key while we're out to dinner, then that's a serious problem. Otherwise I'd say the place is a good mix of location and reasonable quality. The thing with the stray guest just really threw us off. I will say that most of the people were nice. And they do this wine thing in the afternoons where you can just have a free glass and hang out and mingle with guests. They also remembered me by name over the weekend, though that might have been because of the two complaints. Generally speaking, the location is good, but the place is nothing fancy, and none of the facilities are particularly nice... pretty minimal workout space, small outdoor pool. Without the air conditioning and double booking incidents, which could be flukes, it would have been great. I will note that as of this writing, they're in the process of charging me for this room in the days after my stay, and they've been charging and cancelling various amounts on my credit card for days now. The three nights have jumped between charging me $400-ish, charging another $100-ish, cancelling the $100, refunding $500, cancelling all of that and charging $400-ish again, canceling that and charging me $126, and then cancelling that and charging me $444 (as of this writing). So in addition to the several major problems I mentioned above, I'm also very concerned about their billing practices. UPDATE: after following up on the charges, they seem to have settled on an amount that reflects one free night in response to complaints about the booking error and the AC. Generally speaking, it has been a mediocre experience, but given the location and their responsiveness, I might give it another try if I were to return and want a reasonable deal in that area. read more

A quick overview of my experience. Cons: The staff was a mixed bag. In the PM, they were very helpful. AM staff seemed less attentive and unresponsive. Be advised that very loud sirens sound throughout the night due to the proximity to the hospital Blinds in my room were basically ineffective as there was nearly a foot between the blind and the window, and therefore did nothing to block light. Had to prop up an ironing board on a chair to help cover a tiny bit of it. Loved this place. I spent 5 days there because I couldn't get into the upscale conference site up the street, and I am so happy that I was there. If the uber-modern feel is your preference you won't get it here, but if you want comfort, convenience, and genuine customer service, then step right up. First, when you get off the subway at Foggy Bottom, look right and you'll see Washington Circle, but instead stop off at Whole Foods around the corner on I street and shop to fill your frig. When you leave WF, walk a block up and you are at your hotel I loved grinding my coffee every morning in my fully stocked kitchen. Next time, I'll bring my own beans because I'm picky like that, but everything was just perfect. read more

Full disclosure - the bathrooms and kitchen are not updated, but if you want incredible value, amazing customer service, excellent location, and speedy valet service (along with a pool, gym, and your own kitchen) this is the place. We stayed in a studio king with our 10 month old. The staff had a crib ready when we needed it, it was more like a galley kitchen than what I was expecting from a studio, and the room was great. Better than that was the staff. Especially the woman who worked the front desk at night - she always asked how you were, remembered what you'd done that day, and always had a smile. The valet team was top notch and constantly surprised me with their speed. The location was perfect. Cute restaurants across the circle and the Metro was right there. We will definitely be returning to One Washington Circle Hotel. read more

This properties main attraction is the staff! Teresa, Dante, Tom, Marcus and the entire staff made my stay phenomenal. The hotel itself doesn't have a tone of bells and whistles, and you will hear sirens throughout the day, but they are professional, clean and attentive. The last morning of my stay I was feeling a little under, and I was granted late check-out without an issue. Rooms have a full kitchen and balcony for moments when you just want fresh air. Such amazing staff here . Everyone I encountered was pleasant and so helpful . It's nice to get some where after driving for 9 hours and have such a seamless and stress free process . Kudos to the staff. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable . My only complaint is that outside was so busy and I was able to hear everything from my room. But, I did find a flyer on the bed that said the front desk offers ear plugs, but I didn't bother . Other than this, everything here was great. Great staff and a great value for the money. Just minutes from the Foggy Bottom Metro station. My "room" was a suite with a complete kitchen, dining area connected to the living room/work space, separate bedroom (with a walk in closet), and of course a bathroom. Staff was welcoming when I checked in and always greeted me when I returned to the hotel. Valet attendant was polite and was also the gentleman who brought my luggage up to the room. Room was clean and had a great terrace that my vertigo would not allow me to enjoy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Perhaps the one downside is the close proximity to a hospital which means sirens once in a while, but living in NYC this was a week in the country to me. read more

Stayed here this past weekend and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I got there, the staff was friendly and fun--very casual and I loved it. Not that sort of snotty staff you can get at many hotels. Most places give me nasty looks for my blue hair, but the staff loved it. Even mentioning how I matched their uniforms--basically, I immediately felt very welcomed, which I rarely feel at hotels. Within 20 minutes of checking in, the front desk called my room to see how I was settling in. I have never had that happen! The hotel is in a great location, maybe just two blocks and a couple minutes walk from the Foggy Bottom metro stop. And walking distance to Georgetown and the monuments. The hotel was quiet, despite what other reviewers have stated, what with it being close to a hospital. The only sirens I heard was the following morning at 10am. I thought the hotel was really quiet and the bed was so comfy. I got a great night's sleep. This place can't be beat. We stayed there on a weekend night for $99. A steal. The place is fully equipped. I wish we stayed longer so we could have used the outdoor pool and the kitchen. Yes, the room had a fully stocked kitchen--stove, microwave, dishes, utensils! Plus a dining room, a living room area with a pull out sofa bed, and a separate queen sized room with a walk in closet! It wasn't a room--it was an apartment! The free wireless was very helpful and the valet parking was $30. The valet staff got our car quickly and were also very friendly. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay again. read more

Our new fav DC hotel! Our room / suite / apartment faced Washington Circle. We spent a LOT of time sitting outside on our huge balcony. Yes, as others mentioned, the ambulance sirens were loud when outside, but we hardly noticed when inside. I recently stayed here for 3 nights. There were some things I really liked about this hotel and some things I must warn you about! Pros: -Affordable price -Great location. The Foggy Bottom area is definitely the place to be. It's also walking distance to the Metro and GWU. Lots of sightseeing nearby. -Each room has a kitchen. Great for storing leftovers and making a morning pot of coffee. -Rooms are spacious -Front desk staff is knowledgeable and friendly. -Complementary sangria/fruit/flavored water throughout the day Cons: -Be prepared to hear sirens ALL NIGHT LONG, this hotel is located near GWU Hospital -WiFi is spotty -Bathrooms are a tad small and there is no fan -Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable I would definitely stay here again based on price and location. The worst hotel I've stayed in my entire life! Staff is rude and regards guests as sub-par creatures. While booking 3 king-size rooms for one night, we received one with a twin bed (all while the receptionist tried to convince us it was a queen size one). We were also told we were getting charged for the "free" parking. After check out we were charged $50 for each room ($150 total) and were told that the charges will be reversed within "5-7 business days". When asked to put that in writing they flat out refused, stating that it was their "standard policy". However, no such policy in writing exists and when we demanded one - we were refused to get it - it simply does not exist. a-w-e-s-o-m-e! It was like someone built me an apartment while on vacation! Bathroom: large mirror, tons of towels, full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryer, lotion, and also individually packed makeup removal towlettes (CONVENIENT and LOVED by any city gal). Living room: 32" flat screen, two couches, a roll out bed for any additional guests, and an office desk. Kitchen (YES, you read that right): full size range, kitchenette set, refrigerator, and garbage disposal. This is so close to Georgetown, you can walk there to all the best restaurants in town. Valet parking is 30/day and you can come in and out, as you'd like. Would stay here again! read more

I stayed here because the Fairmont, where I was attending a conference, was full. The only real good thing about One Washington Circle was that it's really close to the Metro and good food. It's also right next to GW and the police station, so sirens go off every twenty minutes. The front desk gave me attitude about checking in early, even though I had called well in advance to ask about them accommodating my needs and they assured me it would be no problem. They also double charged me for my room. I had prepayed so I could get a 15% discount. Upon checkin, I had to give them another credit card number for any incidentals. They charged me the full price of my room on that card in addition to the sum I had prepaid. I called to get it sorted out and was transferred a bunch of times to all the wrong people and ended up leaving a voice message for their front desk manager. Hopefully it all gets worked out. The room wasn't very impressive. All the around the hotel are dings, scratches, and divots in furniture/decor. You have to slam the doors to get them to shut all the way. I felt bad for my neighbors as I had to leave at 6 AM each day. So if you're looking for a hotel close to Foggy Bottom/GW, go for it. If you want good service though, I'd avoid One Washington Circle. read more

I admit I wasn't 100% sure about where to stay in DC and in fact had made two reservations at two separate hotels. I decided to go with One Washington Circle and I was SOOO happy I did. There are several things I loved about the hotel: 1) Location. It is less than 15 min to the White House (we passed it almost every day during our stay and for my mom, who was visiting from Europe, this was no small attraction), around 20-25 min to the monuments. The metro is right across the roundabout, Trader Joe's is only 2 blocks away and all the fun neighborhoods - Georgetown, Dupont Circle and even Embassy Row and Adam's Morgan - are easily walkable. The area is also very safe. We couldn't have been any happier with the location. 2) Rooms. Excellent and very spacious. We had a large closet / changing room, with plenty of space for hanging clothes for two women, very nice and modern bathroom, a full-size kitchen with all the necessary amenities, and a spacious room with two beds, an armchair, side table and a desk and chair. Wonderful bathroom products as well, a brand/smell I really enjoyed. Did I mention the balcony too? Nothing better than being able to check the unpredictable East Coast weather directly from the comfort of your room. :) 3) Kitchen. The kitchen was perhaps not ultra-modern, but very well stocked, with cutlery, plates, cups, pots and pans, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, grinder and fresh coffee beans, teas, sugar and creamers, and dish cleaning products. It is such a convenience to have a kitchen on your trip. 4) Staff. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Make sure to join the LIRA club to receive a welcome drink and snack in your room - a very nice touch! The elevators didn't work during a portion of our stay and this was addressed in a wonderfully friendly manner with a letter to guests, apology and an appropriate discount. Getting a taxi was sometimes difficult, so make sure to insist they confirm everything for you, instead of putting their driver in touch with you. I'll definitely return to this hotel next time I'm in DC and will recommend it to anyone visiting. I'm really happy I found this gem. :) read more

We recently stayed here over Presidents Day weekend for 4 nights and we were impressed. We originally had a room with one bed and as soon as we got in, the sirens were going off. We relocated to room 619 and we hardly heard any sirens at all during the day and rarely at night. We were originally super concerned but it came to be no big deal. Plus, the hotel gives you complimentary earplugs. The room as everyone said is spacious. Fully stocked kitchen, large and comfy beds, a balcony, and large closets. There is an ironing board, flat screen tv, and free wi-fi. Hotel staff were super friendly. Hotel location is super convenient to a Trader Joe's and Georgetown. They provide you a list of recommended places to eat which was nice - but needs to be updated though. Our stay here was great, especially for the less than $100/night we paid for the room. Would recommend and definitely come back here with a preference to stay in room 619 or any other rooms on that side since we hardly heard any sirens considering that was the only major complaint. read more

This has been my third stay in the last year and a half. The staff here are friendly and offer assistance on several different levels. Let me explain. My first stay I had just came from my grandfathers funeral. After my first day I received a sympathy card from the staff. This was above what their normal duties. An amazing feeling after returning from my GWU activities for the day. My most recent stay I arrived with no luggage thanks to my wonderful airline. They were very empathetic and offered advice and assistance to help solve my situation from toothbrush to placing my luggage in my room once it did arrive. In my opinion the staff at OWC did not have to do any of these kind acts. Also, as I depart they make sure I have a cab and assist in planning my trip to the airport making sure I arrive in time. read more

I loved my stay at this place. I had a suite and this is easily a $1,700+ apartment in nyc. Lol I had a kitchen, dinning room, living room & of court bedroom. I would definitely recommend this hotel read more

I really don't like this hotel. I booked my room online today. When I arrived (about a half hour later), I was told the water would be out the next day. I could not cancel my reservation. I tried to make the best of it and get laundry done tonight. There are no change machines on site. The front desk does not have change. The bar does not have change. The restaurant does not have change. I was told I could get change at 6:45am and do laundry then. No thanks! Throw in the dirty drapes/upholstery in my room and constant sirens, and I do not recommend this hotel at all. Stay away! read more

Booked this hotel on line for $99/ night for two nights. My daughter was in the ER and we checked in past midnight and were greeted by an angry clerk that initially refused to check us in. Then today I find out they only had my reservation for one night even though I have a print out and confirmation number saying $99/ night she charges me $149 for tonight. That's serious bait and switch rates. will never stay here again. read more
