After staying here for almost a week, we understand just how The DuPont Circle Hotel is one of only six Michelin key awardees in Washington DC. We entered here and two superb front desk reps, Thomas and Caroline, provided amazing service. The rooms are standard size for a hotel in DuPont Circle. However, the furnishings are modern and luxurious. Plush bathrobes, Turkish cotton towels, and fine bathroom cosmetics are the norm. The hotel's location is excellent. Our high floor room has an excellent view of the Circle and the surrounding area. We absolutely loved our stay My only critique is that the refrigerators

I spent a couple night at The DuPont Circle. The location is fantastic with lots of shops, restaurants and bars in close proximity. I arrived on a Sunday and there was a small farmer's market on a nearby street. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. Overall, my room was comfortable enough. The work desk was a good size for me to spread out and work from. The bathroom floor is heated which was a unique experience. The reason I gave it only three stars include: 1. The shower - the shower in my room had a 3/4 glass of enclosure. Part of the enclosure "folds". The one in my bathroom would not stay in place, so either water leaked all over the floor or it was smacking me in the a$$. Also, the shower head (no handheld) had barely any pressure. I was literally up against the wall with the shower control trying to stay under the water stream. The shower head floor has black tile and while I'm sure it was technically clean, the amount of soap scum and build up was kind of gross. 2. The bed. I had a kind bed in my room and it was only slightly less firm than the floor. It was so firm that I woke up with sore joints and back because of the impact on pressure points. 3. No drawers. While I appreciate a modern, clean room, I hate when there aren't drawers. I like to unpack my suitcase and put things away. I was able to hang my shirts/ pants in the closet, but there was no place to put my socks, underwear, t-shirts and those sorts of items. Would I stay here again? Maybe...if someone else were paying. Mostly likely, I would probably choose one of the other Marriott properties in the same general area that have better in-room amenities.

I was so pleased with my stay here! This hotel had mostly good reviews and I was coming to town for a concert, so I booked myself a room. I didn't get an immediate confirmation, and I have absolutely zero chill sometimes, so I accidentally booked myself two hotel rooms. I called the next morning after both confirmations showed up in my inbox and they were able to cancel one of the rooms for me. When I showed up the door person greeted me immediately and helped with my bag. The front desk staff was super nice, I chatted with the woman that checked me in for a bit. Great customer service so far! I made my way up to the room and was very pleased with the space. It's a very European hotel, which means there are cute little details everywhere. The note and chocolates they left me were a sweet touch. I ordered room service and it was brought up quickly. The man that brought it up was super friendly and cracked a couple of jokes. He was awesome. The next morning the door person stood outside with me while I waited for my uber and he was also a gem. Overall 10/10 experience with the team here. The hotel is in a great location and I loved all the little details. I would stay here again with no hesitation. Highly recommend based on this experience. Bonus points: fluffy oversized towels, bathrobes and slippers provided, and super comfortable bed.

Recently stayed here for a night. The hotel it easy to find. Since we stayed on a Saturday, we were able find street parking instead of purchasing valet parking. The only reason I knocked off a star is because I felt like the room was small for being a 5-star hotel/the price point. However, highlights of the room would definitely be the heated bathroom floors (amazing), the robes, the way the room was decorated, and the windows! Housekeeping even came around and gave us little bottles of water and chocolates. We also enjoyed some drinks at their bar and that was a great experience too! This is a lovely hotel and we had a great experience!

I was beyond impressed. The customer service, location, and clean rooms were the best! I highly recommend. Beautiful park with fountain across the street. Walkable and plenty of businesses close by!

Small cramped shower you cant turn on without getting soaked . Many people would find entering into this shower challenging

For the rates they charge, the conditions and service are unacceptable. The building is old, heavily dated, and features cheap fixings. The bathroom is tiny, featuring a cramped round sink with virtually zero counter space to set down any personal items. Furthermore, for a five-star hotel, lacking a proper hot tub and standalone shower is unacceptable. The towels provided are cheap, rough, and feel entirely out of place at this price point. The bathroom ventilation is so old and loud, that I can't even believe it's there. No fridge in the room, only a mini bar that will charge you if you move around mini bar items to place your own drinks. The view of the White House was severely misadvertised. To actually see it, you are required to pay an extra $700 on top of an already steep $600-per-night room rate. The acoustic insulation is non-existent. If anyone is staying in the room above you, forget about sleeping--every single footstep and movement carries straight through. The front desk staff was entirely dismissive. After promising to switch our room to resolve our issues, they dragged us through three separate attempts, wasted hours of our time with non-responsive answers, and then finally demanded we pay even more money to fix their mistake. After we went through, not even a complimentary breakfast or really anything. Shocked that this place is more expensive than Four Seasons, St. Regents, and the kind. This is barely a three star hotel (except location of course). Stay away.

Too bad stored blankets were unavailable for sleepers wanting more warmth than their traveling companions. We had to make a second request for one. May I also suggest providing more than one bar of mini soap bars. It's such a minuscule cost item but would obviate having to repeatedly move the precious one bar from sink to shower. We found the valet staff particularly helpful especially when navigating awkward arrivals and parking needs of our personal guests. Sean was a prince. He supervised an otherwise complicated set of logistics with competence and gentlemanly grace. Another shout out to the manager ( sou?) of the breakfast dining. We watched him rigorously oversee staff and guests while occasionally stepping in when helpful. His leadership is likely responsible for the professionalism of said staff. This is in direct contrast to the staff of the Willard across the street where we took the first breakfast of our stay. We were dismayed to have to endure extremely loud staff socializing, boisterous laughter and downright flirting. This type of behavior would have been unacceptable at the JWMarriott. The price for a room I guess because of the multiple conventions in the place was excessive. I think for a room, not a suite, it would have ben $750 per night during the week. I thought that was a lot so we used points, and the 1st night they had not held our King Room for us, and despite being our anniversary, we had to sleep in a double room and move the next day. Unfortunately, the double room was quiet, and the King Room had an adjoining door and we heard every little thing from the room next door.
