Unfortunately in the process of moving and renovation, the bar has gone quite downhill in terms of food. Our server and the bartender were both excellent, but the food was the worst wagyu sliders I've ever had with a side of food poisoning. When you're paying $40 for three petite burgers you expect the quality to be better and fully cooked. I received sliders that were practically raw on the inside. I had one once I realized this and that it tasted a bit off when arriving to the center, took the rest to go, and instantly began food poisoning symptoms a few hours later. I opened the box as it is a bit dim in some areas of the bar, and took a close look and realized they were not cooked at all inside to an unsafe point. Whatever the occasion is, Hotel Bar is definitely the place to come to! We made a reservation and I think that's what got us the table by the window and it was so worth it because the night view of the strip was amazing and the perfect complement to the ambiance that's inside. Since it was already 10pm, we got a couple of drinks and appetizers and it was so worth it! We got a cucumber watermelon fresca mocktail and a couple other fruity cocktails (unfortunately I forgot the names) but all the drinks were really good and had a good amount of alcohol in the actual cocktails. We paired it with a fried mushroom medley and bluefin tuna tartare with taro chips. Although both dishes were lightly seasoned, the natural flavors really came through and was super fresh. We finished off with with a strawberry panna cotta that came in a gorgeous white chocolate cube and a coconut passionfruit sorbet which was delicious! You can't go wrong with that! My friend ordered a spicy margarita and it was super sweet. Not the usual spicy margarita. For lite bites I ordered us the beef sliders, which comes with french fries. I don't eat pork and so I opted out of the bacon jam. The fries are really good, crisp and salted. The beef sliders were extremely undercooked. Overall this place is cool to come grab a drink. SkyBar is a swanky lounge on the 23rd floor of the Waldorf Astoria hotel. We stayed at the Waldorf and received food and drink credits at check-in so we decided to use them at SkyBar before going out for the night. SkyBar serves light fare, pre-show meals, and craft cocktails. The bar features floor-to-ceiling windows offering incredible views of the strip. Fortunately for us, we were seated by the window. It felt like we had a front row seat to the strip. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the following: Espressol martini $21 Prohibition $31 Duck fat fries $18 Yellowtail sashimi $20 Big eye spicy tuna roll $18 The Espressol martini is their fun twist on the classic, featuring Casa Del Sol tequila blanco, coffee liqueur, espresso, and agave nectar. It was unique and very enjoyable. My husband ordered the prohibition which he also enjoyed. The food was outstanding! The fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. While the drinks are on the pricey side and the service is rather slow, it is the views you're paying for and the luxurious atmosphere definitely makes you enjoy the city from above! The on the rocks version I think helps add a cooling note and certainly enhances the presentation so it is well worth. I stayed at this hotel couples times already. The fornt desk was help full and friendly. Instead of this time just visit the sky bar not staying there. We call ahead to make sure they do let people outside come to the bar and yes they do. Everything smooth until we get there and ask for go upstairs to get in the skybar. We ask the old man standing at the lobby not people at the frontdesk table. At first we thought he was nice, he said the elevator do some security check so it take couple minutes, he will help us get there immediately when he can. We ask him again that is there anything wrong happened up there, he said "honestly somthing wrong with the elevator and there workers check on it so just give him couple minutes". We fine with it, thank you and waiting for him at that moment we still seeing people use all three of that elevator's normally like nothing happened. We've waited for almost 30 minutes keep seeing people going up and down, in and out. That old man just ignored us. Then a man coming hotel and ask the old men for the skybar. That old men said "yes, let me take you up there" immediately. What the point here? I decided to go to the front desk table ask the lady can I go to the bar but Im not staying here. She said of course and help me how to get there right away. Is this RACIST? Either we staying or not, we are still customers though. SkyBar remains a quiet and classy oasis high above the chaos and beauty of the Las Vegas strip. This Hotel Bar is on the 23rd Floor and has 2 main areas to relax. The first is the "Livingroom" just off the Waldorf's front desk. It's quiet and comfortable, and with the same great service as the main bar area in the next room. Jen, Gayle, Mark, and I really enjoyed the beef and chicken sliders, plus beer and cocktails. It was a little pricey, but maybe not so much considering Las Vegas prices in general, and enjoying this lux space (with a view) in particular. The bar area has a cool dimmed lounge vibe with comfy seats and maybe 180 degrees of window view. The background music is relatively quiet, but a little too "thumpa thumpa" for my taste. I you'd like a more relaxed and quiet conversation experience with friends, stick to the Livingroom. But when Gayle and I return to Las Vegas, we'll look forward to hanging out in the main bar area. read more

SkyBar is located on 23rd floor of the Waldolf Astoria Las Vegas in City Center. Cocktails selections are based on the history of Las Vegas, including "Where It All Started". " It Begins", "Classic Las Vegas" and "Las Vegas Today". Pear of Aces $23 I got the Pear of Aces this time with Vodka and Muscat Grape Liqueur Pear Purée. Taste is a little bit citrus and sweet. Golden Knight $24 This one is more of a whisky cocktail, with Japanese Whisky, Herbal Liqueur Aperol and Ginger liqueur. They also provide a small snack to pair with cocktails. But the downside is the cocktail menu has not changed much since we first visited in 2018. read more

I had read the reviews on the great view of this bar, which is why we went, but unfortunately, they were renovating, and the hotel bar was moved to adjacent where it's supposed to be. So the view was a half view of the strip. The server explained to us that the Hotel Bar would be next door where the floor to ceiling windows were, and would have a full strip view when the renovation was done. The drinks here though, were very good. The server is great at making recommendations if you're unsure of what you want, and she was great at making sure we liked our drinks. I got the "I'll sleep tomorrow", which was an espresso martini, and my husband got the "The Waldorf". Both were super strong and delicious! The server also brought us some popcorn and chips, both complemented the drinks really well since they were salty and my drink was sweet. This place is pure elegance in and out, which is not surprising since it's tucked inside the Waldorf Astoria. Atmosphere is definitely a highlight. Drinks were definitely refined and fitting for the location. The Pear of Aces was crisp, tart, and satisfies your pallet. The Block 16 was almost a better version of it with added citrus and very tasty. The cinnamon churros with fudge and chocolate dipping sides was a nice after dinner treat. Service was good. Our server was friendly and helpful and the hosts do the best they can to take care of their customers needs. They gave us some snacks with our drinks, some chili powder pork rinds and assorted nuts. I really liked the nuts because the walnuts were sweet, the almonds were spicy, and the peanuts were salty. It was nice to have some complementary bar snacks to much on while enjoying my stay here. Both drinks were good. These are definitely top notch drinks but not the best I've ever had. I knew once I saw a picture of the views at Skybar on IG, that I would have to come see it in person! I made a reservation on OpenTable in advance...but be sure to cancel prior to 48 hours to your reservation if you are unable to come. You have to provide them with your CC information when booking the reservation and they charge (I think) $30 per person if you do not show. Skybar is located inside Waldorf Astoria and they also utilize the space where they host afternoon high tea. I arrived a few minutes prior to my reservation time, so I was seated in the lobby area for a few minutes before my table was ready. The interior of Skybar is dark, romantic, chic, and the ambiance felt very upscale. We were seated next to a window and the view was absolutely spectacular! We ordered a couple of cocktails and some sushi items and just relaxed after a full day of Vegas activities. The cocktails and sushi was on the pricier side, but you are really paying for the location and ambiance. The food portions were pretty small, even to share. The service was friendly and they made some great recommendations for us as well. I would recommend visiting Skybar at night, so you can take in all of the Vegas lights. read more

How did I not know about this place?! When I visited Vegas in February 2022, my friend brought me to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Frankly I wasn't expecting much; I'd been a fan of the Cosmopolitan Chandelier bar for years (partially for the delicious drinks and partially for the breathtakingly glamorous aesthetic), but after coming here, this has easily become one of my favorite bars on the Las Vegas strip. First of all, if you're looking for a great view of the strip at night, stop no further - this place is it. From the leather upholstered chairs in the bar that are strategically place facing outward of the floor to ceiling glass windows, anyone can get the million dollar view of the Vegas Strip. Not only is the view great, but the servers are attentive, friendly, and helpful when choosing between the many great drinks on the menu. They have a number of cocktails listed on their robust menu, but also a substantial list of spirits, which is typical of a bar like this in Vegas. Most drinks are in the $20-30 range which is a bit pricier than other solid bars in Vegas, but here, you're paying for the drink, but most definitely the view. It's now become my final stop before I leave Vegas for the airport. Always need to get one last good look and a Best thing on the menu: Prohibition - Whistle Pig 10 Whiskey Vermont Maple Syrup, Tawny Port House-Made Aromatic Bitters, and a Luxardo Cherry + Orange peel to garnish Ambiance - luxurious, yet inviting.
