The prawns arrive perfectly crisp with a generous coating of golden garlic and herbs. Each bite has that satisfying crunch before giving way to tender shrimp. 2) Mango Crispy Catfish - A beautiful contrast of textures. The crispy catfish is topped with bright slices of mango and finished with a chili-lime dressing that ties everything together. The dish is vibrant, colorful, and bursting with flavors. 3) Crab Fried Rice - The rice comes generously packed with large pieces of crab and works perfectly alongside the other dishes. Long overdue review - I've been coming here for about two years now anytime I'm in town and it's always the place that I look forward to eating at. Coming from LA, we have decent Thai food, but honestly this place blows everything else out of the water. Tucked in the corner of a shopping mall with quite a few other restaurants, you might miss it if you're driving by. Here are the dishes we've tried so far: Pad Thai (9.5/10) - The best pad thai I've had - nice and moist, with great flavor. I'm normally indifferent to pad thai but having this one makes me realize that most of the other pad thai I've has been dry - no wonder I enjoyed this one so much more. Garlic Herb Crispy Prawn (10/10) - The star of the show - nice, large prawns fried to perfection and covered with a tasty garlic sauce. This is the one we get every time we go. Gang Pu (7.5/10) - Solid amount of crab meat in a curry sauce. The vermicelli noodles come on the side and you can add them into the sauce when you want. It's good but I wish there was a little more curry sauce in the dish. Pra Dook Pad Pren (7/10) - On taste alone this probably gets a 9/10 but we thought the portion was a bit small. The catfish is very tasty and the sauce was on point. Just wish it was a little bigger portion. Panang w/ Crispy Duck (9/10) - the duck is very moist and flavorful, swimming in the panang curry it's really a wonderful dish. There is a good amount of sauce which we like so we can add it onto the steamed rice. Panang w/ Crispy Prawns (8.5/10) - See above but with crispy prawns instead of duck. Enjoyable but I think I prefer the duck a little more for this type of dish. Garlic Green Beans (9.5/10) - Didn't know what to expect but really pleasantly surprised with this dish. The green beans are covered with a super flavorful garlic sauce. A nice compliment to any of the other dishes considering there's not a ton of vegetable options on the menu. The tasteful traditional decor and dark wood sets a nice mood for a pleasant meal. Sure, the view out of the window could be better (you just get a view of the corner of the parking lot) but other than that I can't complain. Also, the service is really stand out - they always treat us very nice and check on us regularly. Shoutout to Pinky - she's super sweet and they've given us a little ice cream dessert when we've come on our birthdays. In a city with so many great food options this one stands out for me. I was so looking forward to this late meal after landing late in Vegas. I heard pretty good things about this place especially about their Crispy Duck Panang. We came straight to Lamaii right after checking into our timeshare. We arrived around 1130pm on a Thursday night and the place was empty, it was just us and another couple. Let's by saying the restaurant is nice and modern with a full bar. The service was fantastic and very friendly. If you're looking for authentic Thai food this isn't the place. Lamaii is more modernized Thai style. For our late dinner we ordered the following main dishes. ( I asked for spicy) Crispy Duck Panang: This was why we came here for and I felt the dish was lacking some heat and the curry was on the sweeter side. The duck was a little disappointing as well. The duck skin was fantastic and crispy but the duck was very dry. For a $28 dish it needed more texture like Thai eggplant or bamboo. 3/5 Stars. Garlic Herb Crispy Prawns: This was fantastic . This was our favorite dish out of the three. The prawns were fresh and fried perfectly crispy. The shells were like chips. 5/5 Stars. Gra Pow Moo Krob: This was alright. Again not much heat even i ask for spicy more on the sweeter side. The moo krob (crispy pork belly)was ok. There were pieces that was very chewy 3/5 Stars. I was a little disappointing. We had to order a side of rice for our duck panang. A curry dish should automatically comes with a side of rice or any main entree. Overall, Lamaii is pretty pricey for the portion you get. We came to Lamai in the evening and were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waitress was very kind and attentive and took the time to walk us through the specialty dishes, which we appreciated. We ordered the pad sen lobster, and it was really good. The lobster was perfectly crispy, and the whole dish had great flavor. The crispy prawns are always a go to for us and did not disappoint. We also had the crispy duck panang, and the curry was rich and very flavorful. I was especially happy they had mango sticky rice because it is the perfect way to end a great meal. I'll start by saying this: I'm very picky when it comes to Thai food, and I usually leave Thai restaurants feeling a bit disappointed. Because of that, I tend to stick to what I know and rarely branch out. Lamaii was a pleasant surprise. What stood out immediately is that their menu is genuinely different from a typical Thai menu. We ordered dishes we don't usually choose, and almost everything blew us away. The flavors were unlike anything we've tried before. The only miss for us was the tom kha soup, but everything else was delicious and memorable. The service deserves a special mention. I really appreciated that they had us double check the bill for accuracy and clearly explained that gratuity was already included. The ambiance is beautiful and intimate, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a nice night out. The lighting (especially later in the evening) creates a cozy, upscale vibe. Overall, Lamaii is a place I would absolutely return to even as someone who usually plays it safe with Thai food. Not bad for a place to get Thai food. You see all these influencers going to this place so I had to try this place out. I kept it light by ordering the wings and the drunken noodles with crispy duck. The wings were really okay.... They were crispy but they literally had no flavor, couldn't taste the lime seasoning on it at all, and no salt. The drunken noodles were fantastic, especially with the crispy duck. Service was pretty good and we were served pretty quick. The meal didn't take too long. The restaurant itself was beautiful. I was excited to try Lamaii on a recommendation from one of my favorite restaurants. While my experience was mostly excellent, they missed the mark in a couple of spots. I will try again and order differently. The restaurant felt upscale Thai while keeping it authentic. They have a great wine fridge on entry and were very welcoming. The frosted mug had me imagining my next visit just for beers! Best bites: Green beans were excellent Papaya salad was delicious but my medium spice level was pretty mild. Went here for a bachelorette party. And it was so good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the perfect spot for an elevated girls night or a romantic date night. Lighting is low-and the drinks are delicious. Western/Fusion Thai Wine Restaurant. RSVP needed (extremely crowded on a Saturday night). They are understaffed but very nice. You'll leave ridiculously dehydrated due to how much fish sauce to masking salty taste was added into the food for flavor. For anyone sensitive, you'll feel very bloated, good hangover and thirsty until the next day. Crispy Prawns are popular here and we'd say that's a MUST GET ITEM here, especially for ppl who similarly love the original Lotus of Siam location version. Overall, be prepared for a very long wait, and service. We were able to entertain ourselves. And they treated us pretty well. What's not for us, doesn't mean it's not for others? Maybe this could be a kind stepping stone or fusion taste of Thai food? I'm sure this place will be full of people ordering the typical western to mainstream dishes like Pad Thai. We are not normally into fusion or westernized Thai food. That doesn't mean we won't be able to enjoy more elevated versions, or westernized versions. It needs to make sense. For elevated places, the quality needs to match the price. I'm expecting higher grade meats to higher quality ingredients = not supposed to feel food hangover after. I swear we were so thirsty, nonstop drinking water and electrolytes all night and the next day. That's not a good sign. I don't even think I get that thirsty from eating Panda Express. Luckily we weren't gassy which means their protein were decent quality. There are other reviewers with similar experiences too so it wasn't just us. Compared to all Vegas friends and family, we are more picky with our Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Mexican taste in food (probably cause of where we came from). Many of which Vegas is not well-known for. But if you come from places with less of any of these communities around than Vegas might be great for you in all of them? read more

I found this spot via instagram and I was not disappointed in any way feasting down on far too much food. The decor in here definitely transports you into another space and the staff was very friendly. The Panang Crispy Duck was the star of the show for sure, and the curry was so good that I committed pure blasphemy and scooped some onto my Crab Fried Rice (Mun Pu). The service was top tier! It was very quiet when we walked in the waitress said we just missed the rush. The food was delicious and the hot sauce flight made it even better. We got the son in law eggs which were good I just felt like it was a lot of eggs definitely would've been good with a side of white rice. Came here with the family after My Wife had this on her list to visit. The food and service here was amazing!!! We have been to Thailand and after eating this food, it made me feel like I was in Thailand, eating their authentic food. We have been to a lot of Thai restaurants between New York and California and this was one of the very very few that I got that authentic Thai vibe. We started with this appetizer of whole eggs, cooked and coated with this tamarind sauce that was sweet and savory at the same time. We also got the drunken noodles with duck and the flavor was phenomenal. We also ate the Panang curry with Chilean Seabass, and that stole the show right there!!! The Seabass had a perfect crunch on the outside while buttery and flaky on the inside, and the curry flavor was everything you expect out of panang! I first found out about this place through Resy in November 2025, my hubby and I have been back here 5 times since and it's not even February yet. This is definitely our new go to spot for the best Thai food in Vegas! We've recommended and brought our friends and family here since the second time we visited. The variety of the menu selection is great and everything we tried so far is full of flavor! We love the pla crispy beef, basil eggplant, and pad see aew very much. A fantastic place for Thai food. Very pretty interior, great service and lots of parking. The reason for the 4 and not 5 was because of the price point with what you actually get. The food was incredible so it has nothing to do with that. The Drunken Noodles with Duck was $28 and it barely had any duck. Maybe 2 good pieces with meat then everything else was just fat/skin. Yes, duck is a fatty meat but ... My dish barely had the meat/protein. Also, the sauce made it not crispy anymore so I recommend asking them to put the duck on the side with no sauce so it can stay crispy. I still highly recommend this place. read more

I felt like I was in an upscale modern Thai restaurant. The service was great! Very attentive and quick up until placing our order. After food came out, still attentive without being bothersome. The food we ordered was delicious though we thought the fish dish we ordered was a little overpriced. The presentation was great but I think that's where the high price came in. We then split the chicken pad thai and the mun pu fried rice. The chicken pad thai was good, but not great. Could have used a bit of salt or acidity. Just a bit lacking in flavor. The fried rice however was phenomenal, I've never had anything like it. I could probably eat this dish every day for the rest of my life. Overall, this meal was about $65. The food was really good and flavorful. I loved the hamachi crudo and the spicy crab vermicelli. The green beans were sooo good as well. My daughter really enjoyed the duck, especially the sauce it came in. They don't seem to have a hostess so it was a long wait to even speak to someone about our reservations.
