They don't remove trash so it sits for days
    Lisa D.

New Owners are RUDE & SLOPPY!! If you like to vacation next to piles of laundry, filthy rooms, bags of trash & a filthy pool this would be your motel. Steve always made sure everything was neat and clean... sadly those days are gone as are the regular repeat customers. While this motel was a certified "Doo-Wop" Motel we knew years ago what that meant. So for anyone who has no clue... NOTHING is updated. That being said we knew that and have been regulars here for years (and yes, Steve could have done some slight updates such as remove the nasty rugs). The new owners do not care about loyal customers. They do not care they bought yet another place to run it down. They do not clean rooms daily. They actually don't clean anything AT ALL. It truly is a shame what they are doing to this place. We will not be returning and after many years of being a loyal guest it's probably long overdue.

What's living inside that huge hole

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE HOTEL AND SERVICE WAS EVEN WORSE! I BOOKED THIS PLACE FROM THURSDAY THUR SUNDAY. We got there Thursday at 9:15 and NO ONE WAS THERE to let us in. We called the two numbers on the door for assistance. And NO ONE called us back. We waited around till almost 11 p.m and still NO called us back!! We ended up going across the street and explained to them what hapoened and they said they heard horror stories about the Belair too and Thank God they had a room for the night. The next morning I went back and told the staff (3 of them at the time) What had happened and they all but called us liars, that someone was always there at the office till 11:30!! I showed them proof on my phone history that we called and my husbands phone as well and they still tried to make us out to be liars! I was NOT happy with their attitudes at all!! I asked them to At least Reimburse us for the night THEY WERE NOT THERE TO LET US IN! The RUDE WOMAN SAID SHE CANT do ANYTHING!! I was getting more and more irritated by her attitude. She said I have to call Expedia and tell them. I am on hold with Expedia as they NEVER said even a *sorry" and they give us the key to the room for the rest if the nights that were PRE PAID! We enter the room. It was stinky and musty smelling and then I look down at the bed and there was a huge hole and a few smaller ones in the box spring. The room was disgusting! The man from Expedia picked up n and I told him about the BS I went though the night before and how she accused me of lying and that The room was stinky and there was a huge hole in the box spring. He put me on hold and he called the front desk. They lied to him and said that the manager was not in. (LIES) As I was on hold with him I looked into her eyes and said, here..this is Expedia! Surprise. Ughh.. she kept talking to her family in some language I didn't understand but, I know she wasn't happy with me. Haha. I told the guy from expedia that I wasn't comfortable staying at a place that was basically a cockroach motel. Is stinky and holes in the bed. He told me that The hotel Refused To refund me any money. They offered me another hotel room. Which was Is slightly better. But still stank. I told them I didn't feel comfortable staying there. On top of being called a liar and then not being there to let us sleep there.I'm out all the money from that hotel. Then we I had to go pay for 2 nights at the other hotel. I was out $700 because of their disgusting hotel and terrible attitudes! I asked if they believed in God. She told me that had nothing to do with it. I said KARMA will get them. And I sure hope it does! That whole family are horrible people and codes should and probably did check there gross place out! Please don't give a dime to these people. They deserve NOTHING. We have a 55 Belair and I wanted so bad to stay here and have a great experience but, it was horrible. Oh and the foot of the bed was beoken..you can see it in the one picture. If someone would have sat on it, they would have fell on the floor. It littery rocked. I do have a video of it. I hope it comes through on here. SUCH A DISGRACE THESE PEOPLE ARE!! Shame on all of you!! Please don't waste your money or your time. But, for fun to see if they have working phones call 609 7244034 and 571 3768037 they didn't answer for us. Maybe they will for you. Thank you

I went on vacation with my husband and my brother and his wife and my nephew and a friend of his. I had a great time for a whole week at the Bel air motel in wildwood Nj. I liked the maid Sandy and the owner Steve. Good people. It's located down the street from a store and a restaurant and you can walk for a icecream. Boardwalk is not far away and the beach is also close. I have problems breathing and the owner let me use a wheelchair he had there to have my husband push me down to the beach. Pool was nice and the room was nice and clean. There was a laundry room that I used and it was handy. I would go there again for sure.

Have not been in 2 seasons but this is the best local NJ shore hotel I ever stayed in. You must understand, this is the type of hotel that has served the NJ shore since the 60's and it still retains the charm of that era. This is not a ritzy condo at the beach, just a great place for a couple or family to take in the beach and the boardwalk. From the one side of the motel you can actually see the water. The beach is clean, safe and easy to get to. The boardwalk is close but you are not on top of all the noise. Next door is a bike rantal and a small convenience store with diner style eat in food. The owner is AWESOME and the place has a waiting list for reservations so book a season in advance. Some rooms even have have kitchenette's. There are coin operated laundry machines. The cleaning service is friendly. They have hot coffee every morning. Once I was there for 2 days I actually relaxed for the first time all summer! It is just perfect enough to relax you. The pool is clean and warm. Kid friendly. You get 1 parking space per room.

Needing only one night I tried to book something we could walk to dining. Arrived about 1:30 to see if we could check in early, we could. The front desk lady was funny and personable. She was efficient with check in/checkout rules, hotel features. All rooms are keyless. Upon entering the room has been fully updated, bright, clean but on the small side. The pool busy but the noise couldn't be heard in our room. Kitchenette had a stainless steel fridge and a four burner gas stove. Everything you need to prepare a meal. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Air conditioner worked a little to well in our room, it was freezing. Two pool showers, one pubic pool restroom, small designated smoking area, ice machine that actually works. WI-FI signal strong with no issues. Start of the boardwalk across the street. This motel was awesome and I actually think I like it better than our normal place. Two things I'd change. The parking. Finding a spot to fit our small SUV was challenging, only three available with two having poles making them even smaller than the other. The walk to the beach.

The pool area was awesome and kept clean. There are several chairs and three large tables with umbrellas to use. My only suggestion is some tables in between the lounge chairs to set things on. My kids loved that there were pool toys already there. Our room was newly renovated and clean. There was a small kitchen, which was fully stocked with everything you might need to cook a meal. They came and tidied up our room each day with fresh towels. Truly enjoyed staying here and would come back. Highly recommend!

I had booked a spot for Corvettes on the Boardwalk in Ocean City and needed a place to crash. But where? I found Summer Nites and from the pictures it looked like a beautiful seaside mansion. Sold! We arrived on Saturday night for a two night stay. Sheila greeted us and proudly showed us her home. The theme throughout the home is the fabulous 50's. We're shown into the kitchen and it is a beautiful recreation of a 50's style diner. Each booth has a few quarters to play the authentic jukebox loaded with, yep! 50s and 60s style records. I had that bad boy crankin' the Beach Boys and Frankie Valli. There is a working Coke machine (with dimes in a can) grab yourself a bottle anytime! There are two working hot tubs on the property and the front porch has rocking chairs to sit and relax. In the garage, Sheilas husband has his 57 Chevy waiting to cruise. Sheila & Rick are car people too?? Very very cool. Each morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast. To start, a large fruit cup and freshly baked muffins were waiting for us. I poured myself a coffee as I was served a delicious homemade waffle and sausage. This has to be the best Bed & Breakfast I ever stayed at. Our room was the Marilyn Monroe room. Lots of Pink! When I walked into the room, I didn't know what to expect. My wife filled up the Jacuzzi and used the bath bomb in the water. After a 10 minute soak, I can understand why JFK kept Marilyn as his side piece. We checked out on Monday, we were the only guests in the B&B. Sheila sat with us and we talked about the future events at Summer Nites. Sheila, I can honestly say we had a great time and cannot wait to return next year.

This is a long post, but hope it helps anyone considering the Fleur…read more Our stay here in August '22 was our second year. We were so impressed with everything we just had to come back. Like everyone else has said, staff is very nice, from the front desk to the maids. Especially the latter, they even set my younger son's stuffies in different positions each day after making the beds, so it's become something he's fond of and wonders every day what they'll do next. They do come around very early -- by or before 9am when we're still making breakfast, hey we like to sleep in on vacation!! -- but I've never felt that they were put off by it, we just put the "service required" sign on the door, go to the beach, and it's always been very thoroughly cleaned by the time we come back for a late lunch. The room (type "E") was on the 3rd floor again as I had requested the year before, and they even moved us down closer to the shore end of the building as I'd requested this year! These rooms are very nice as you can see in the site pictures. But it's the things you wonder about, whether they are as good as you could hope -- double beds are super comfortable (memory foam it seems, with good support for my creaky back), AC/ventilation is great in both front and bed rooms (we keep the fan running as my wife and me are used to fans and the noise helps us and the boys get to and stay asleep). Bath is great, never had problems with water/temp/pressure, and even though it's a little cramped it's still fine. Plenty of towels! Clean! Nice hardware! They provide plenty of pans/pots/utensils for making basic stuff, but I suggest bringing your own metal grill spatula and tongs to save having to borrow one from the front desk each time (which they happily will do). Their grills are great. The cooktops in the rooms work great too, and the fridge is plenty big enough to hold everything we need for a week. They provide both keurig and drip coffee makers (including the paper filters), just bring your own coffee. Nice big LG TV screen with DirectTV, plenty of channels, but who needs TV when there's the most beautiful beach, wonderful salt water pool, bike rental just a couple blocks away, several restaurants nearby, and that fantastic boardwalk a few more blocks away. The MonsterCone ice cream truck always visits the block each night, best (and reasonably priced!) ice cream you'll find other than Kore Bros on the boardwalk. For breakfast or lunch, the Tangiers across the street is really good. The Crusader next door is also decent. I love Mexican/tex-mex, so several short blocks away is Bandanas, HIGHLY recommended. For frou-frou food, I hear Alosi's at the Pan American a couple blocks up is nice (but expensive). The Do-Wop breakfast/lunch joint is also within walking distance, not to be confused with the Do-Wop restaurant on the boardwalk (which is really good btw). So, now for the ONLY thing I've had an "issue" with when staying at the Fleur the past two years mid-August: there is a group of families who've rented out several first floor rooms, and they seem to stay at the hotel all day in the pool area, drinking and having "fun", but they just take it over. And several of them set up and play cornhole on the sidewalk right next to the parking where our car was, drinking the whole day long... I changed from second week of August last year to third week this year, and they were still there anyway.... The mid-sized pool (which includes a cool spiral water slide for the kiddo's) is so crowded throughout the day by them that my boys don't want to go in. We look longingly at the near-empty Nassau or Tangiers pool across the way and have started thinking... But none of this stuff is the Fleur's fault at all. Just timing, and you can't choose your co-guests. So are there better motels to stay for the price and quality? Maybe. I've read/heard the Aquarius is pretty nice/competitive, and the nearby Starlux is also top-rate (it's a Morey's motel after all), both of those are further up on the boardwalk stretch to boot. I love love love the Jolly Roger (I stayed right down Palm Road from it as a kid in the late 60's and always went to their movie night!). Maybe it's a better deal, and the Tenaglia's are a fantastic family-owner business, but it's further down the Crest. Not so much of a biggie since there's the Jitney Surfer shuttle to the boardwalk if you don't want to drive (and who really wants to), but it is an older property with commensurate "issues" like in-wall A/C that may not cool both rooms as well, quirky retro-deco you might not like... whatever. Bottom line, you really can't go wrong staying here. It's a great stay, and the beach location is perfect. Really hard-pressed to find a better place than this. I'm getting the feeling we might try some place else, say "Meh", and just come back to the Fleur.

Visit Date: July 28, 2025 into July 29, 2025…read more My boyfriend's family was staying here for their Summer Vacation. My boyfriend was there from Monday to Wednesday, my son and I came out to stay Monday night into Tuesday and we left Tuesday night because I had a notary class the next day on July 30. I did love it here, my one issue was not enough parking. They only allowed one car per room to park on the property. I had so much stuff with me because I was not only packed for one night in Wildwood but packed for the next week without my son in case I ended up sleeping over anywhere. I usually don't sleep over anyone's house but my sister's but I always carry extra clothes on nights I won't have my son in case I end up being offered to sleep at a friend's house or something I'm prepared. So because of my issues with being prepared and having too much stuff when I found out I couldn't park at the hotel I had a mini heart attack on the inside. When I got to the hotel, I had to figure out what I needed and unload my car and than I ended up parking the car 3 blocks away. I am not sure if they can arrange more parking, I don't know if it's possible but it's the one gripe I have. The room my boyfriend, son and I stayed in had a king size bed. I bought a cot for my son to sleep on but my son ended up at the end of the bed because he didn't want to sleep in the cot, I ended up in the middle of the bed and my boyfriend ended up at the other end of the bed. The 3 of us fit lol. The room had a kitchenette. I love the rooms with the kitchenettes. I like to bring groceries with me on trips so I can save money on food out so anyplace that has a kitchenette I love. I bought regular coffee to brew and were dismayed to learn they had a keurig, if I knew that I would have bought some of my disposable k cups with me. It ended up being okay they had starbucks k cups that they provided and I was more than happy to drink that. They had a pretty nice pool. I didn't get to visit the beach but I heard they provided beach accessories. This hotel was also located at the end of the boardwalk and very close to it. I would stay here again if I were given a chance.

We parked in a single spot and they do have additional parking up the street. So stop whining about the parking. Simone the manager was very nice and we chatted for a while. COVID decimated this town and it these places are trying to get back to making a profit. So tip your housekeepers. There are 2 of them so leave 10 a night. If You're from Jersey then you tip hard. If you're cheap then shame on you. You stay here because it's convenient, clean and you like being around people. The partiers, crowds and noise are all part of it's charm. You don't come here to get rest, calm and solitude. If you want that then you're in the wrong state. If you grew up in Nj like I did we'll share but we won't shed a tear if you leave unhappy. We love this place. The inconveniences are all easily overcome. We book early in the year so we get great prices $141 a night. $500 less than if we booked now in July ($635 vs close to $1300 w/taxes & fees) for the same 4 nights Mon-Fri. I've read the reviews on all the major sites for the place. Most seem to be from those who are unable to manage their own expectations. They see problems I see it opportunities.
