The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

They have outdoor balconies overlooking the shopping area or river - which was great for seeing nature (geese, beavers, herons). Facilities are nice with a good sized gym and large rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the Ferris wheel. The roof has plenty of lounge chairs and the chill bar with great staff that will bring your orders (food included) to your chair. The hotel is pet-friendly and has an indoor fireplace-house restaurant and bar (Fins) with an outdoor patio. It also has an onsite Starbucks. While pricey, the amenities, room size, great staff, and location made it worth it! We've already started talking about our next visit!

Drury Plaza Hotel in Pigeon Forge is brand new and was opened to the public on July 30, 2025. It's a 10 minute drive to Dollywood, 2 minutes from The Island in Pigeon Forge, and a few minutes from the strip (or Parkway). It's incredibly convenient to local attractions without all of the noise and traffic. We visited Pigeon Forge for my birthday weekend and my husband spent a little extra for the top floor so that we could have a better view of the mountains. Parking is easy but there aren't a ton of options to park in the shade, so do be aware that you may have to park on the second floor with no shade or the gated parking lot that isn't shaded. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, and inviting. The staff are all very kind and hardworking. Whether it's the reception greeting us as we came and went, the staff in the dining area cleaning up, or the housekeepers, everyone was respectful and pleasant. Our room (810) was clean and very well stocked. The bed and pillows were comfortable and overall, the floor/room was pretty quiet. Our view was okay, mainly overlooking the parking lot but the mountains behind it were beautiful. Drury Hotel is very pet friendly and the rate is $50/night. There's grass surrounding the hotel and is right next to a river trail. There are also pet cleanup stations as well. When we checked out, the receptionist gave my dog a treat bag and a strawberry dog toy. It felt so special! Breakfast was always hot and well stocked with choices like home fries, yogurt, cereal, biscuits and gravy, breads, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, and tortillas. There is a beverage station with fruit juice, coffee, and a soda fountain. 5:30 Kickback starts at 5:00 at this location and it's such an amazing perk to staying at Drury! There are snack options that changes daily and each adult over 21 receive three free alcoholic beverages each night of their stay. We truly enjoyed our stay at Drury Plaza and will definitely start looking to stay with this particular chain from now on.

The rooms are on the larger size and similar to what we might describe as an efficiency hotel but nicer. There is a larger kitchen area with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, an additional sink in the kitchen area and most of the utensils you might need to cook or reheat a meal. There is also a couch/seating area with ample desk space. My wife did a bit of research and found this new location. We confirmed they opened in May 2025. When we arrived, it was apparent they are a brand new location. There were still construction dumpsters in the area and someone was spreading bark in the flowerbeds. We booked online, checked-in online and picked up our room keys at the front desk when we arrived. As we have said before, we have had some trouble with the digital key on occasion, so, we like to have a physical key card just in case. Inside it was fresh and new. We've always liked Home2 Suites but appreciate the newness of this particular location and the attention to detail put into the property. We ended up not loving the area, it was just too busy for us. Just about every where we went including the National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge it felt so busy and commercialized. We can only imagine what it is like when it is "really busy"! We stayed on the 5th floor, our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet, that always makes a big difference. Although we did not spend time at the outdoor hotel pool, it appeared to be a nice area to hang out. There were also some grills available for use. We took advantage of the provided breakfast on the morning we left because we wanted to avoid traffic and wait times at local restaurants. It was a basic hotel breakfast with various forms of eggs, toast, muffins or bagels and some breakfast meats with waffles, yogurt and juice. If you find yourself in the area, don't hesitate to book here.

Location: It's just 30 minutes away from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings, Chick-fil-A, and a casual dining restaurant right around the corner. If you need fruits or water bottles, Walmart is a 2-minute drive. Hotel & Amenities: When they call it a "Suite," they mean it! Our room was generously spacious. It had basic toiletries, a coffee maker, towels, a television, and a couch, but it also came with a decent-sized (not mini) refrigerator, a dishwasher, and utensils for four, including plates, cups, mugs, cutlery, a chef's knife, and tongs... you get it. Perhaps this is what the brand promises, but I was staying here for the first time, and I got the room for just $140! The hotel and the rooms were clean and quite new. The hotel was also equipped with a pool, gym, and barbecue space. Service: Most of the staff were very warm and welcoming. However, I did have a rough start. I booked two rooms, a week in advance, but during check-in, the receptionist informed me that one of my rooms wasn't ready. They made me wait for about 3 hours before I finally got the room. It was disappointing at first, but after my experience of the entire stay at the Hotel, I can let that go. The receptionist who works in the evening is the most bubbly person; she is always looking to offer any assistance. Breakfast: My expectations for breakfast were very low, but Home2 Suites has a fairly good spread. They offer fresh-baked goods, sausage, two kinds of eggs, milk, yogurt, cereal, waffles, juice, tea, coffee, and I'm sure I've missed out on a few more things. It's quite good. The kitchen team is always right there, ready to replenish the food. Parking: The hotel has sufficient parking space right outside. When I arrived, the hotel was quite busy. The hotel's location is also safe; it's off the main busy street but still accessible. I loved my stay here. I booked because I had no choice, but I surely have no regrets. In fact, on my next trip to the Smokies, I will be back here, again!

Sorry, I have to downgrade. Literally, the only positive thing was the Caribbean woman the first…read morenight. Desk coverage during the day is almost nonexistent. Long stretches of no one at the desk of you need anything (for example, they didn't replace our towels). Mildew/mold is a problem. Look at my pictures and you can see all the rust on the escutcheon plate. That only happens when moisture lingers. You can also see the mildew spots. They've tried to paint over them in places, but don't understand that doesn't work. The problem is the vent is tied to the light fixture and the bulb restricts the already narrow opening. A 4" duct can handle a maximum of 50 cfm in a bathroom setting. With the obstruction, more like 20-25 cfm assuming the rest of the system is clear. It is not. Keep the woman at check in from the first night (the second day girl looked annoyed to help) and tear the rest down.

Expect broken door knobs, peeling wall paper, cracked/busted up…read morefurniture, showers with cracked walls and failing caulk, dirty carpet that will leave your feet black right out of the shower, a fridge with nasty stuff left in it, restrooms out of order, plugs that don't work, ice machines out of order, and a grime throughout. You are feet from the highway and hear truck traffic all night long here. When we checked in we were told that we couldn't get our reserved room because it needed maintenance so we were given this "gem" as their best. I am surprised that the Choice / Comfort Inn brand allows operation of hotels at this level of disrepair. Please see the posted pictures for a real good clue about how this place operates.

They have covered parking but it's only 6 ft 6 inches clearance so bear that in mind. Plenty of outside parking if needed. Pool is wonderful and clean. Towels are provided. They have poolside cabanas and loungers in the shallow area that are free to anyone to use. We enjoyed standing at the edge of the pool and watching the strip traffic down below. Rooftop bar is nice and clean. Spacious and they have a good assortment of beverages. Too hot for us to enjoy the outside area but I bet it's very nice in cooler weather. Overall, a great stay. We shall return!

1 Star -- Beautiful hotel, but the billing experience was unacceptable…read moreI stay in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge frequently and have stayed at many hotels in the area. I have never had a hotel billing experience like this one. First, to be fair: the hotel itself is beautiful, new, and clean. Our room was clean and I have no complaint about the physical condition of the property. The problem was the service, communication, and billing. I called Hotel Indigo on Sunday, August 16, and clearly booked three nights -- August 17, 18, and 19, checking out Thursday, August 20. I specifically asked for the total price. I was told $142 per night. I then specifically asked whether that included the taxes, the $20 nightly fee, and everything else. I asked more than once because I did not want any surprises. I was told yes. I specifically confirmed that my total for three nights would be $426, and I received a confirmation number by text. After arriving, there was confusion at the hotel about the reservation and whether we were staying two or three nights. We repeatedly explained that we were staying three nights and checking out Thursday. Then at approximately 5:00 AM on Thursday, I received a notification from my bank showing a $573 charge. When I went to the front desk with my niece to question the charge, I was told that a manager had supposedly given me a discount. After they recalculated everything, I was told the final bill was $615. That means the final amount was $189 more than the $426 total I had specifically been quoted and confirmed. On top of that, we were also charged $15 for breakfast, even though we understood breakfast was supposed to be included/free with our stay. This was not a small difference or a misunderstanding of a few dollars. The difference between the confirmed total and the final bill was $189. I have stayed in hotels all over Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and normally if a hotel tells me my total is $300, I leave paying approximately $300. I have never experienced this kind of confusion over the final bill. We did speak with management at the hotel, but I was not satisfied with the explanation. My advice to anyone staying here: get every charge in writing and carefully check your bill before you leave. The hotel is beautiful and clean, but for me, that does not make up for a billing experience that left me feeling that I could not trust the price I was being given. I will not stay here again.
