Good hotel with an amazing rooftop terrace.
The hotel is located a 10 minutes walk (including luggage) away from the main station Termini. The Colosseum is a 10-15 minutes walk away, so its location is really good, since you can do a lot of the tourists spot on foot. Quite a few restaurants and Cafes are around the corner, but be aware that some of them are tourists ripp-off places (charging you a lot when not taking your Cappuccino at the bar).
The breakfast in the hotel consists of a relatively large (for Italian standards) buffet, including fresh fruits, toasts, eggs, pastries, jam etc. A warning: do not try the "coffee" from the buffet. Ask instead for a caffè (espresso) or a cappuccino, they will happily serve you one.
The rooftop terrace is just amazing: it offers almost a 360 degrees view around Rome. And there is a bar at the terrace (and at the ground floor in case of bad weather) which offers some wines, beers and cocktails at reasonable prices.
Our room was clean, so nothing to complain here. Note, however, that the walls are not too thick...
Summarizing, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good location to do most of your tours on foot and enjoy rooftop terraces. read more
