I wish I could it a 4.5. It was a great stay and I'd return with the family. I was a little disappointed by a few things -- the common area, store and elevators were hot. It's Florida summer - so I wish there was a bit more A/C. We had hoped to use the arcade (family pinball challenge!), but it was removed. Ice machine on our floor and the one below it were broken. 2 floors down I finally found. It. BUT... The rooms were nice, beds really comfortable, check in was great (& Taj even greeted us by name throughout our stay!), the food at the lobby bar was good too. Hotel Landy - what an absolute perfect staycation for the beginning of my work week. I am currently recovering from a cold so I wanted to thank Tiffany one of the front desk staff members into checking me into a beautiful room and a fantastic view of I drive/volcano Bay. This room has everything a girl could ask for; a spacious king bedroom, a little area to sit down and write stuff a gorgeous TV, a small fridge and a coffee maker, and a clean and spacious bathroom, including hand wash and body lotion with the hotel, Landy branding. I spoke to Esther at the bar this evening as well, and she was super kind and very nice. She did tell me, though the discount only worked for food at the boutique property and not drinks; which is honestly OK because her service was outstanding. I used to live in the area and I would always drive past this hotel and thankfully I got to market off my bucket list. I definitely love the area that it's in and how quaint and stylish the hotel is if you haven't been here, I will definitely recommend it. It is near the city express by Marriott as well; it's super close to any of the restaurants and bars off of I-drive along with anything in the Universal city walk area. 10 out of 10 I will definitely be back. read more

The hotel is under construction and the noise + smell could not be hidden. Thankfully after speaking with the front desk the contractors waited until 9am to start. The first few nights it began at 6am which was tough to ignore. The room itself was large and clean, had the noise not been such an issue and once construction is completed I would come back here. Stayed recently at the Hotel Landy, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio property. I wish I had taken more pictures so I could do a proper post. It's a really nice boutique hotel that has undergone major refresh renovations and they paid attention to the right details. The staff was friendly and really welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the entire hotel was well kept. I really liked the decor and the uniqueness you get with a boutique hotel. As someone who's traveled a lot over the years, it's nice to stay somewhere with some personality instead of the typical generic chain feel. Emilie Bar & Lounge is great. The cocktails were good, and they have a nice cigar selection with a great outside sitting area to have a drink and smoke a stogie. Unfortunately we had dinner reservations elsewhere every night so I didn't get to try the food. I had breakfast a few days at Orly's Market and everything I had was great. They serve Starbucks coffee along with pastries and sandwiches, plus a small menu of fresh cook to order items you can order and have brought out to your table. I had tried pastries and breakfast sandwiches all solid. The last day I had a little more time to order the eggs Benedict. A classic Benedict, nothing crazy, but it was done right and tasted great. If you're in the area and looking for a solid boutique hotel with a good vibe, a nice bar, and a decent kitchen, it's worth checking out. I'd stay here again for sure. read more

Located just minutes from Universal, and so much more cost effective! This would definitely be a hotel you'd drive by and not be wowed by, but the interior has completely been remodeled! The lobby was getting remodeled during our stay, but the bar area had a cool vibe. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get to experience the outside pool area. Our room was located in the atrium, which was super cool and old school feeling. The room was a decent size. It had a king bed and an additional living space and lots of bright light. The bed was comfortable, pillows not so much. Heads up, the parking was expensive. It's just a standard lot surrounding the building -- not gated and was $35 per night. That's common in the heart of a city but I thought was a bit steep for a basic parking lot. read more

Hotel Landy was an incredible find. From what I read it was a remodel and ultimately rebranded hotel. The entire experience was great. I discovered this hotel on HotelTonight and got an amazing deal. When you drive up, it feels luxurious. The staff was pleasant and greeted me with a smile. The interior ambiance was cool, calm and very welcoming. The check-in process was extremely easy and they even offered complimentary strawberry lemonade while I waited for the check-in process to be completed. We received 2 complimentary drink vouchers which could be redeemed for any alcoholic, specialty or foundation drink during our overnight stay. We rode the glass elevators up to the 9th floor, which not even going to lie, felt a bit dormish in the county jail dorm type of way lol (never been but used to work in one and have seen it on tv). Anyhow, once off the elevator, it was extremely quiet and we found our room with ease. The rooms were very updated and we even had a view of the outdoor recreational area which donned two ping pong tables, an outside bar, pool and other game/leisure area. The tv was large for a hotel room, there was a mini fridge (no microwave, womp), tub with very hot water which I loved, a close up makeup mirror as well as great lighting. I loved how I could not hear my neighbors in the rooms on either side ours. The first floor also had an arcade area, fitness center, gift shop, bar with cigars, and a few other amenities. Overall, our stay was great. The location was fairly central, walking distance from international blvd where all the outdoor fun things are. We would definitely stay here again! read more

If you have any self respect, don't stay here. 1. The Noise. On top of the ac running there is an additional deep tinny sound that kicks on at random hours for 10-20 minute increments. You will jump up at 2 in the morning and think a jet is flying into the building. And you will think I can handle this, and just as you are about to finally doze off again, it will happen again, and again. And the noise carries on all day and night. 2. You won't be lonely. They have tiny ants/bugs everywhere. Especially on the night stand. They make their way onto the pillow or maybe your arms or face 3. Service. Their staff is trained on very sweet and stoned. They will say YES and I'm sorry but they will move with intention as if you are in a zen spa versus a city that is primarily business and family travel. They may give you a key that just was not even connected to your door and as you are dragging your luggage and sweating they will test every last bit of your nerve as you are late to work (reasons below) but no worries. They will smile sweetly and have ZERO urgency or worry. In the same vein, only one person will be available at the front desk from 6 pm on so if you call, rest assured your call will RING ON for 45 minutes, you will then be put on hold, then told they will fix your issue and help you - you will be able to retire and move into a senior living facility as you continue to hold 4. Your room will not be ready when you get here. You will not get the room you booked. You may be put on a floor that the carpet was flooded on, there are commercial fans blowing - yessss more noise!!!, the floors are ripped up and it reminds you of a construction site. 5. You will ask for another room. The very kind and record breaking slow team will maybe move you to another room where key wasn't ever connected. 5. Noisy but no ac! You will maybe get another room. The room has all the noise of ac but alas, it's 80 degrees in the room. The ac is not working. At this point you're an hour late almost in tears and have to go to work. You beg the front desk staff to please have it repaired. They are truly lovely. They assure you when you return at 7 pm the room will be delightful and chill. Oh but you already know. You return. Your room is 89 degrees. With all the noise. You called the front desk. They promised that within 10 minutes you'll have a room. You sweat and you are exhausted. When you go down to the front desk jokes on you because the one person is on the phone. You're not that important silly!!! Well it's been a day. At about 10 pm you get a new room. It's cold. But let's be clear it's noisier than living under the Lincoln tunnel. But you paid real money, so too bad! And if you think you can set up a meeting to get work done in your room because you did in fact leave the do not disturb sign on think again. The door will be knocked on. You may or may not be in your underwear as you did pay for the room. You will be bulldozed in a language you clearly don't understand but you make out this is maintenance to change the door knob. HOLD YOUR GROUND, translation app explained they were changing the door locks. No, not now. Bye. And if you are asking why I am placing this here. Well, for the past three hell filled non sleep nights I have politely accelerated my true grief, while being barely functional from horrible sleep , however the lovely slow and stoned team has reassured me my challenges are being carefully reviewed. They are reviewing it. Carefully. How clever. String the person along until they check out and run away so fast and never look back. Hotel Landy was formerly a Crowne Plaza, and was nearly fully remodeled when it was rebranded. This hotel is billed on Priceline and at least a few other sites as a 4 star property, but based on the amenities they offer (no decent full-service on-site restaurant, times when no bars were open, even in the middle of the day, and relatively basic facilities and offerings) this is really a 3 1/2 star property at best. Overall it appears they did a really decent job with the remodel. I didn't see paint slopped on any hardware, electrical outlets or things like door frames in the rooms or public spaces. Instead, from what I saw, things like electrical outlets and switches were brand new. That said, there are some holdovers that appear original to the facility like the in-room A/C units, and the elevators were obviously older and at least one was out of service during our entire stay. We had a king room overlooking the pool, it was well-appointed and everything for the most part was newly painted or decorated. That said, when we arrived in the room, the carpet near the air conditioner all the way over to the bed was damp (the room was very cold, so it was likely condensation from the A/C unit) and the bottom of the bench seat was wet. There were also stains on the carpet under the desk and next to both night stands. WiFi was easy enough to connect to, but the signal wasn't terribly strong in our room. The TV had a decent amount of channels, but no interactive system to check one's folio, checkout, get information about the hotel, etc. The room had a safe, fridge and a Keurig with coffee and tea, but the generic branded coffee was very weak and basically flavorless. If guests plan to park overnight, they need to scan a QR code and pay $35/night for the privilege of doing so, which is excessive. This hotel had a small gift/sundries shop and a Starbucks where they also sold prepackaged sandwiches and other chilled foods. Guests are given a $15 per day F&B credit, but we never got to use ours as the bar was closing at the time we arrived on our first night, and when we went on Saturday at around 3:30 p.m., they told us they'd closed the bar near the pool (housed in an old delivery truck) due to weather, and the bar in the lobby wasn't open yet, so we were out of luck then, too; So much for the daily beverage credit, I guess! This hotel also has an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a small game room. Staff were all very friendly, and they did give us a late checkout so we could use the room until noon before departing, which was appreciated. Interestingly enough, they called our room on the second day of our stay to thank us for patronizing this hotel, and asking if everything was good. In all, Hotel Landy is a nicely renovated former Crowne Plaza which was well-done overall during the refresh, but some areas do show their age. The overnight parking charge is excessive and amenities are really basic for this to be considered a true 4-star property. That said, at least for now, rates to stay here were reasonable. read more

El personal es uno de los mayores aciertos de este hotel: súper amables, atentos y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Desde la recepción hasta el servicio en el restaurante y la piscina, todos fueron muy cordiales. Me hicieron sentir bienvenido y cuidado en todo momento, lo cual agradezco muchísimo. Lo único que realmente me incomodó fueron los cargos adicionales. Mi habitación estaba en $115 por noche, y con el parking incluido calculaba que me saldría alrededor de $300 por dos noches. Pero al final la cuenta terminó en casi $400 por noche, lo cual me pareció demasiado, especialmente porque no gasté mucho dentro del hotel como para justificar esa diferencia. Creo que deberían ser más claros y justos en este aspecto, ya que otros huéspedes también han mencionado lo mismo. En conclusión, el Hotel Landy es un lugar súper lindo, moderno, con excelentes instalaciones y un servicio de primera. On staycation and happily so at Hotel Landy! Some girlfriends were in Orlando for the weekend and we holed up here. The hotel itself is very lovely. We enjoyed the pool and various amenities including the fitness room and arcade. The room itself was extremely spacious and well appointed. We loved the reusable water bottles that were provided for our stay. Also loved that there was a Keurig machine available in the room with actual mugs instead of the typical paper cups. Only issue in the room was that several of the outlets didn't work. Would have been nice if parking would have been included for guests. Seems steep to pay $35 per night when you're already paying the nightly rate. Would also be nice to include breakfast. It's an up charge. On the surface, this hotel looks quite cute, but it has deep problems. After arriving at 9am (I came in on a redeye flight) I went to sleep, only to awake to no ac at 11am. After much run around, they said it was repaired and would be on before 6pm at the latest. This was at 2:30. I went to have some dinner, which was delicious, by the way. Mahi mahi tacos, but they couldn't comp it for me. I asked them to at the front desk and they said they couldn't either. At 6:45 I called a manager. He said he would see if he could move me to another property, then never called back. At 730, the ac seemed to come back on, but that was deceiving, because it was only a hot fan. There was a waterfall of water near the lobby and flooding. My room just kept getting hotter and hotter. I was accommodated in no way. Very disappointed in not only the hotel, but also the management, and lack of service. When I checked out, the front desk said they could "flip a switch without going into the room to turn on the ac" so why didn't they do that? I got no sleep at all. read more

Really enjoyed the Hotel Landy. Huge rooms with a couch you can use as a bed and king size bed. Nice newer LED Samsung TV in room for viewing whatever one may like to consume. Ping pong tables, arcade, fitness center, outdoor pool & jacuzzi are a few amenities included. Plenty of parking, valet parking is also available. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff checking you in. Great and convent location off the highway and close to all the attractions Orlando has to offer. I'm going to make an effort to look at yelp reviews when booking hotels moving forward.. google rates this hotel in the 4 star range and our experience so far isnt in that realm.. After a long day dodging wands and roller coasters at Universal Studios, we returned to our hotel room to find a letter saying our room was needed for "unforeseen engineering issues." But don't worry--they were "pleased to offer a complimentary upgrade." Fancy! We shuffled down to the front desk, exhausted, and were first assigned a room on a lower floor. My wife, ever the fine-print detective, pointed out the word upgrade. The receptionist had a lightbulb moment and bumped us up two floors instead. So we packed up, dragged our bags ourselves, and opened the door to... the exact same room layout. Déjà vu, but with fewer towels. Just one bath towel--for a family of four. This was déjà vu because a couple nights ago, same issue: not enough towels, broken coffee maker, and no one ever showed up despite two calls to the front desk. Apparently towels are a luxury now. The next morning, I asked how this was considered an upgrade. The receptionist responded with the usual "engineering issue" script, while another staff member read the letter like it was written in riddles and said it might have meant we were being upgraded. When I asked who offers a maybe upgrade as compensation, she told me, "Well, the 10th floor is an executive floor." So yes--our grand "upgrade" was a lateral move, plus a staircase. Same room, towel shortage, and a coffee maker with trust issues. But hey, we slept where executives sleep. That's gotta count for something, right. read more

Check-in was pretty much a joke. We tried to upgrade to a junior suite. We would have paid for the upgrade after reviewing the suites size and unique space for the kids. Front desk clerk told us he would look if they had one after he already wrote the room number down on our room key envelope so he never actually looked. Just said it wasn't available and the hotel was fully booked. They explain the $35 parking fee that you had to scan a QR code on the sign to pay could not add it to the room charge. It's like they don't own their own parking lot. Why can't this charge be in with the room charge? Gave us a room and when we got into the room there was a glass of champagne on the table. There were dirty towels on the counter in the bathroom. There was food, garbage in the garbage can and the bed had been shifted. Honestly, it looks like they gave us a room that somebody else had already checked into. A little scary to me. Then we walked back to the front desk to get a new room. 3 towels 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel was all that was in the bathroom. So only 1 person gets a wash cloth or the family has to share?? For a room with 2 Queen beds that seems weird to me At almost 9 pm I looked at the Marriot Bonvoy app and it showed I could have booked the junior suite with cash or points. So the front desk clerk saying none available without even looking was crap. Also they have rooms available so not fully booked. Massive raccoon in the parking lot was a little scary. I was unable to sleep between the running toilet and the pool music. Not sure about the ac noise as it was set to 68 but never came on It's ok. The room alarm clock which looks just like a vintage clock went off at 7:10 and we had no clue where the beeping was coming from 1 star for cleanliness as the air filters were clogged and disgusting. Didn't help our allergies at all. Also, I know it's an old hotel that they recently remodeled, but it doesn't even look like they took the wall plates off when they repainted the rooms Good things. I liked the shampoo conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion. The hot water is HOT. In room Keurig was awesome. I actually don't like Starbucks coffee which is in the lobby so I was glad to brew my own in room. I did bring my own k cups. I had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel! The ambient lighting created such a cozy atmosphere, in my room, outside & the lobby! Not to mention I ate at the bar during my stay & the shrimp tacos were not only delicious but had the perfect amount of spice & flavor. I paired them with a mojito that was a stroke of genius, on my behalf as the flavors complemented each other beautifully. My room was clean, and the AC was already on and working when I arrived, which was a wonderful touch. Plus, having a Keurig in the room was a pleasant surprise. I'm not a coffee drinker but I love tea. Although I didn't capture photos of the lobby or outside (pool) I did lay eyes on everything & the structure was the same but it was remodeled, spotless, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. I have an appreciation for Architecture & Interior design so I love that Marriott saw the potential in this property & executed the new design perfectly While the $35 self-parking fee was reasonable, the hotel more than made up for it with its array of amenities. From the arcade to outdoor games, seating areas, food truck, and pool, there was no shortage of entertainment options. Plus, its proximity to Universal and Icon Park made it an ideal location for exploring the area. Overall, my experience was delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone seeking a fantastic stay in the area! read more

The air conditioning broke in the entire hotel around 3pm yesterday. Here it is, 8:30am the next morning and our room is still 77 degrees. We have complained twice to the front desk and they're pretending everything is fine. 17 hours in Orlando Florida heat in early September with no air conditioning. And we're paying top dollar for this experience. UPDATE: I'd like to say that everyone at the front desk and rooms division were very nice and pleasant. But I believe someone above made the decision to move folks to other rooms instead of being honest about the dire situation with the air conditioner. We were moved to another room, as was my wife's boss. Neither of the new rooms had air conditioning either. I moved all my and my wife's stuff from a room that was 78 degrees to a room that was 80 degrees. And sacrificed our beautiful view from the 14th floor (that they charged us extra to have) to a 4th floor view of the dumpster. (See pics below) Alex the desk clerk manager was very apologetic and professional but the decision to move guests to other hot rooms instead of being honest was horrible. I was really nervous after seeing the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The modern retro vibe works for them! The lobby was visually appealing, our room, a junior king suite was freshly renovated, the furnishings were all new and it was clean. I'd give them 5 stars but there were some areas still unfinished, the lobby was very cold, heating system probably couldn't handle the near record cold temps as it was such a large space. Being charged for self parking seemed like a bit of a cash grab and they didn't have a shuttle to Universal's new park EPIC. read more

Check out isn't until 11 and at 10:25 the maid comes knocking on my door which I thought was my husband which I was wrong and good thing I was dressed because she stuck her head in my room. Then 2 minutes later I guess the manager of the maids or something opened my door again and asked if I was checking out at 11 and I said yes but it's 10:30. So twice people opened my door to my room. Wtf What I started to write. Great customer service and the hotel rooms are great. I did not think to take a picture before messing up the room but it was very cozy. Nice seating and multiple outlets like several by the beds and and on the table/dresser area and beautifully maintained outdoor space by the pool. I would stay again for sure. I'm only giving 2 stars because of the distance from universal. After a long day of walking around at the park we came back and were locked out. We went to the front desk to find out why and were informed our check out was that day. The front desk person claimed that it was double booked and when we were checked in the person checked us in under the reservation that ended that day. I'm not sure how that works when we only had one confirmation email. Plus there were tiny bugs in the room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because after paying to stay at this hotel, you will also have to pay to park your vehicle in the hotel parking lot. read more

I'm revising my original positive review due to a serious issue that occurred on the last day of our stay. On the morning of checkout, we had removed most of our belongings from the room but still had until 11 AM to vacate. We left a few personal items behind and about $100 worth of takeout from a restaurant we had gone to the night before. Around 9:30 AM, we decided to spend a quick hour at the pool before officially checking out. When we returned to our room shortly after 10:30, we were shocked to find that housekeeping had already entered, cleared out the room, and thrown everything away--including all of our food. It was very obvious that we hadn't checked out yet. Our checkout time wasn't until 11 AM, and we still had personal belongings in the room. The front desk staff apologized and retrieved what they could from housekeeping, but the food was gone. Their explanation was vague and didn't justify why our room was cleared out prematurely. It felt like a real violation--especially considering the cost of staying at hotels these days. We paid to have that room until 11 AM, and we weren't even close to late. To try to make up for it, they offered to comp our $40-per-day parking (which is already excessive, in my opinion). The next day, we followed up by phone, and after explaining everything again to a manager, we were told--via voicemail--that due to what had happened, they would also be comping the full stay. We were incredibly grateful for that gesture and saved the voicemail as proof of what was promised. They told us it would take 5-7 business days for the refund to process. However, after eight days with no refund, we called again and were stunned to be told that no such promise was ever made, and that they were only comping the parking. This not only contradicted what we were told but essentially implied that we were making it up--despite the voicemail confirming what they offered. What's even more frustrating is that during our stay, multiple staff members approached us asking for a good review. We obliged--we wrote a kind and honest review. But the moment the hotel made a mistake and tried to make it right, they completely backtracked and acted like we were the problem. We didn't demand anything. The hotel acknowledged their mistake and offered compensation on their own. But now they've gone back on their word, dismissed our experience, and shown a complete lack of accountability. That's not how a professional, customer-focused business should operate. Because of this experience, I won't be returning--and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who values trust, follow-through, and respect as part of their hospitality experience. read more

Elevator was broken. Water shut off without warning in the middle of the day. AC broken all day and night in the June heat. All of this at the same time with no resolution, no idea when things will be fixed. No commitment to resolve anything by a certain time. In short a nightmare. Felt unsafe during our stay. Someone tried to enter our room TWICE. Staff did not regard our safety or show any emotion/concern. When we reported that on our first night someone tried to open our door (and it did open save for the deadlock bolt we had on it), they did not apologize or even ask how they could make it up. During our first night we heard a loud bang as if someone was violently trying to open our door. Being very tired we didn't think anything of it and went back to sleep. When we woke up our door was open but not completely wide open since we had a dead lock. We initially thought someone just had the wrong room and was trying forcefully enter. We reported this to hotel staff who said they would send security up to check on the "lock sequence". We waited 30 min and no staff showed up and we had to go - Disney World was waiting. That night when we returned we asked staff if anyone had a report for us in the lock sequence they mentioned and they said security has not come in yet (it was 11pm) and that they would provide us with some answers when they do get here, this was the front desk staff Domingo. All night came and went and no response. At this point we were so busy and we thought maybe it was a door malfunction since they weren't worried maybe we shouldn't be worried? Our last stay the same thing happened when we woke up at 3am and we went to the door and it was open again with the deadlock preventing it from opening. This couldn't just be a malfunction, someone was clearly trying to get in. Our flight was in 2 hrs and we had to get to the airport. As soon as we got situated at the airport I called the front desk, Hanna. She took my number and said she needed to find someone who knew how to do the lock sequence. She said she would call me back as it was around 4am and not all staff were there yet. This was understandable and I told her so and that I would be waiting for her call to get some answers. No apologies for our fears and anxiety of what happened TWICE. I still haven't heard from them. This has never happened to us TWICE. I highly recommend finding another hotel to stay at while in Orlando. I would never stay here again. They did nothing to ease our fears the first night, and they were so nonchalant that we believed ourselves maybe it wasn't a big deal. But someone opening the door clearly trying to get in is a big deal and safety for guests should always be top priority when guests are on property. We felt that it wasn't. This would have completely dampened our experience if it wasn't for the magic of Disney lol. I would not stay here ever, please remember Hotel Landy ain't it. read more

Where do I start. The pictures looks nice and that is why we booked. Entrance is as nice as the photograph. Service is ok. Although rooms are remodeled but still feel outdated and old. Odd feeling where the hotel is trying to be modern but didn't quite made it. Was planning to spent 3 nights but glad we have decided to see how it goes on the first night before extending. Glad we didn't, even my wife is platinum bonvey member with room upgrade. The upgrade was high floor with better view. Not impress. Here we go- get ready!!!! Marriott is promoting this as a New Hotel! It's NOT! The concept is new. The look is kind of new, but it's really a remodel of the former Crown Palace. They really did do a good job in remodeling the inside in a lot of different areas, but the outside still looks outdated and like a Holiday Inn/ Comfort Suites. Lobby had a mix smell of a scent of fragrance and something weird. The bar, hangout and eating area looks very nice and modern. Their marketplace is nice. Great choices of items. Arcade rooms, pools and gym! Along with the front desk staff- they were very nice! Aesthetically- very nice! Our room, did look like the pictures. However, our rug was wet in several areas. Why? We checked in at 9:30pm. I don't know if you ever wet your socks while walking in them, but a gross feeling comes over you. We called them to come and see it. They didn't want to see it, but they offered a fan! We requested for them to come see it and double check that the room was ok. In short, we are still waiting for them to come check it out! Waiting for the rapture will be faster! The cleaning staff is still working till the late night hours, they are not friendly! Elevators are massively slow! The hallways are Covid hot! No complimentary waters. The AC in the room sounds like a truck is in your room. And to top it off- the walls are paper thin. We could literally hear our neighbor talking with her husband about their plans. NEVER AGAIN. I'm a platinum member of the Marriott. Listen to a regular traveler - we have to Do better! read more

This used to be a Crown Plaza. Here is the deal. The Crown is gone and its just a plaza. Positives (honestly very few) 1. Bar and its offerings 2. Starbucks inside hotel 3. Interior decor 4. Outdoor pool and ping pong tables Negatives (quite a lot) 1. Exterior is dated 2. Reception is not very personable and frankly not well trained 3. Elevators suck, super slow 4. Lack of water fountain on every floor besides the lobby 5. Housekeeping - Hard working but lots of misses 6. Bed sheets and comforters smell of bleach 7. Towels smell of bleach ...as in a lot 8. Expensive parking 9. Loud A/C, sounds like a freight train 10. Just one K-cup regular coffee but 4 decafs and 2 teas 11. No cream cups in the refrigerator but the 80/90s style creamers 12. Some buttons on the TV remote don't work as expected (coworkers experience) 13. Missing soap in the shower 14. Key card failed to work on day one there is more to add but am getting tired. Good on the room rate if you don't mind all of this and plan to spend all your time at the theme park. read more

Got the coffee machine changed twice, still not working AC situation is horrible. I could not sleep the whole night, it would turn on and then off again and again and it was so loud. The phone does not work and had a beeping red light, I had to plug it off to not have the light beeping red at night Overall this hotel is a bog no no if you want a relaxing night. read more

I had this amazing customer service with this kid named Clay. He was so sweet and thoughtful and he made the stay here well worth it. Even when the AC of the hotel went down, Clay took care of us and made us feel like family. The hotel was great and spacious, close enough to Universal and has shuttles to and from the park. read more

This hotel is a no go. My room had black mold. You could smell it. Everything in the area sold out and no spare rooms at hotel. They offered to do a special cleaning while I was away for the day. They didn't do it. I had to remind the front desk 2 more times. In the end it still wasn't good. Changing the air filter helped some. I told the front desk that I'd never stay here again and there was little reaction on their part. They didn't even ask what was wrong or what they could have done differently read more

Recently visited for a business trip to be near the Orange County convention center (about a two miles away). There is mobile check in available and I also checked in on location. The staff was kind and courteous and the process was easy with little wait. The room was clean and serviced each day. I did not request no housekeeping service through the Marriott mobile app and in person with the front desk but I still received service during my stay. Not sure why my request was not honored. The hotel was very busy with guests but I did not have to wait long for the elevators nor bar service when I visited. The bar area is lively after 5 pm and you can order full food service to dine in or take to your room. I ordered the salmon entree and red wine for one night's dinner. The salmon was good but the boxed presentation was not appealing so I definitely recommend sitting for dinner service. The location also makes it easy to pick up food service should you choose to order in. There is a on site market for full service breakfast, coffee and snacks which was busy in the mornings but the prices were comparable to outside convenience and breakfast cafes which was a welcome surprise. There is also a small gift and convenience shop on site. A fun amenity is the game lounge (you do need to pay to play the games). There are outdoor events where food is served but there was rainy weather when I visited so I was unable to use the pool/hot tub and there is nice pool and lounge areas (as well as cornhole, bocce ball games). At the end of my stay I was able to checkout online and leave my luggage onsite while I finished work meetings. Overall enjoyed my stay! There is paid parking available with valet service read more
