A friend told us about this place near downtown Tucson (we were in town for a concert at the Fox). It's pretty unique; the layout isn't fancy and all of the rooms are accessed via an outside door but the management pays attention to some interesting details that make it worthwhile. The room was clean, the water pressure was good and the wi-fi was fine. There's a bar and a restaurant. It's located off I-10, so access is easy. If you're looking for a comfortable, no-frills place to stay, this place is worth checking out.

Hotel McCoy is a throwback roadside motel that is brilliantly renovated with super friendly staff! Shout out to Amanda and Santino to making our stay extra special! The attention to detail in maintaining that oh so lovely vintage/bohemian vibe is a lost art- pun intended! Thank you for being so pet friendly! We spent a couple of nights at the Hotel McCoy for Toni's birthday and it was excellent! The Hotel is an old 60s style motor lodge from back when families took trips down route 66. It has been redone to capture a feeling of comfort and good vibes. The feeling your given is one of welcome. The staff was very helpful and took care of everything for us. The offer a breakfast with your stay. Home made oatmeal with a large verity of toppings along with coffee and tea. They have a heated saltwater pool to enjoy after your days activity. I highly recommend this place!

Glad I had the opportunity to check out this amazing retro hotel! The friendly welcome, the free beer coupons, the tasty oatmeal/Pop-tart bar-- all top-notch! And the cute, retro room made me smile! I was concerned that the proximity to the freeway would be a noise issue, but I wasn't bothered at all. Check this place out, traveling people!

Super awesome hotel with very reasonable prices and fantastic staff. If you're looking for an artsy boutique style hotel this will be your jam! The rooms are clean and have gorgeous colorful murals. When you arrive you will get a token for a beer, wine or cider. They have a full bar and food truck. The pool is super cute too! Can't beat the price and quality!

Had a great stay here while visiting Tuscan. Hung out at the bar a lot with the hotel staff. They are very friendly good attentive. The manger was awesome. The vibe of this place is very unique. Would stay here again. Only complaint is that the mattress was a little stiff.

Instead of feeling like you've tripped face first into horse feed, you are met with a varied and wide selection of toppings. With up to 30 different options-- from shredded coconut to every type of nut imaginable--you can craft a base product into something delectable and truly nutritious. Black smudges on this towel. I've honestly never been to a hotel that has such badly stained towels that are "clean."

This place is truly awesome and I really wanted to give it 4.5 stars. I can't in good conscience give it a 5. I'm going to tell you about the bad things first and then I'll tell you about all the other wonderful amazing things about this property. The place was very clean except for the tub. I did have to request to have that cleaned before I would get into it. And they were really great about taking care of that. The towels are white and I was told they're only two months old, but all of them are stained. I had one that had black smudges on it and I didn't wanna use that towel because I really wasn't sure how clean it actually was. They told me they would replace my towels, but when I came back to my room, it looks like my towels were just folded differently, and that black towel smudge one was in the exact same place. They weren't switched out. The sheets were very stiff and felt like they had a lot of fabric pills they were uncomfortable. The bed was so hot-I don't know if it's the mattress protector or the sheets they use. The bed would have been blissful if it wasn't so hot and it had much better sheets on it. I also sleep on slippery sateen sheets normally, maybe I'm a diva.I would bring my own sheets next time. I did bring this up at the end of my stay and I was told I could ask for other sheets, but the towels felt the same, it must be the detergent or something that they use. It just doesn't make things soft. Everything seemed really stiff. The room is a little smaller than normal hotel rooms and that's completely fine but the lighting in there is terrible. You can't read in bed. There's one light it's so dim in there. I stayed over thanksgiving so Saturday I asked the housekeeping for a room refresh since they were literally in the next room and they told me I had to talk to the front desk or something other and even though honestly I could've walked to the 50 feet over there and asked it just seemed like a hassle. I really wasn't willing to deal with. It seemed completely silly to me. So if you want your room cleaned, just tell them you want it done every day when you first check in. Now for the good stuff . I love how friendly and welcoming the staff is. If you have a problem with anything, you can pretty much ask them and they'll take care of it for you. I wanted more chalk-here you go. You get a free drink so I took advantage of that and I had a nice conversation with the bartender. I think her name is, Senia. She's lovely and fun. They have free breakfast and they have an oatmeal breakfast bar. The oatmeal is actually really good. There was also white and wheat toast, pop tarts and coffee. There is a large room to sit in with communal tables or if you want to sit at the table by yourself, there is there's games all over so this room could be used multiple ways. There's a little sitting area because if you don't spring for the bigger rooms, which I would suggest doing, you don't really have a comfy place to sit in your room. They supply with these books in there so fun. I actually read a book on my vacation. The pool is a saltwater and heated all year round. They have Floaties and there's backyard games. There's all kinds of activities and there's a food truck but that will be leaving in two weeks I heard. The art on the property is fantastic and they even had a paint and wine night on Friday that started at 3pm. I wasn't aware of it, but I wish I had if I did, I would've participated. on Saturday there were people out on the deck, which is heated by the way drumming and they invited me to join them which I thought was super cool. I passed but they did it for a few hours and they asked everyone if they wanted to join and it was very rhythmatic and trance-like-it was so cool. It's such a cool property and I'm so glad I stayed there. I'd recommend it to anyone. This hotel is honestly for everyone, families, single people, all kinds of couples-young, old, same-sex,.. it's a judgment free zone and not only our people welcome but dogs are too! If you don't like dogs or people you're gonna wanna skip this place, but if you're down for a cool experience-THIS IS IT!!! Top 3 coolest hotels I've been to.

I am glad I got to experience this hotel, and would recommend it to young folks with pets for an easy place to stay on their cross-country roadtrip, but I would have to be convinced to come back. It's not for me now, but I know it would've been in my college era. Starting with the goods: the local flavor is unmatched. There is no doubt that the concept was born from a person who loves Tucson and has built community here. From the murals, to the Tucson-specific named parking spaces, to the variety of stained glass and paintings for sale, the typewriters inviting you to contribute to a ghost story if there had been any paper nearby, to the local finds "vending" machine, it all feels very intentional and I love the showcase of uniqueness. Complimentary laundry was an excellent option, and EV chargers are available by the pinball room! Upon arrival, staff made me feel welcome and check-in was a breeze. I also loved my complimentary first drink of local beer, and the PM staff were just really friendly and seemed like they enjoyed being at the hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated with enough places to sit, and the beds were so comfortable. Heated pool, gallery space with cozy couches, and the bar area in general make it a great place for friend groups and meeting new people, if that's your thing. But the bads: it's kind of impossible feel clean in the room - my bare feet were black after a few minutes of shuffling around to the shower, and the towels are as thin (and small) as paper. The AC unit is incredibly loud when it kicks on. The walls are so thin, I could hear word-by-word conversations of the college students staying on the next room over. There's a LOT of dogs and while owners do their best to get them to the small area in front of the gym/laundry room, there is a prevailing smell of pee and barking while dogs make friends - we were one of the furthest from the dog area and it was still audible. And the AM lobby staff were not so welcoming - they were flustered and pulled in multiple directions the morning we left, in that they were handling everything from coffee refills, oatmeal service, checkout, and guest complaints/evictions. They were trying their best, but the hotel should consider additional staff in the mornings. Water and ice machine were also a lil on the fritz when I and others were trying to fill bottles in the AM and the single lobby staff member had to try to help us troubleshoot too. All in all, I'm not mad that I brought my family to Hotel McCoy. But I unfortunately wouldn't bring them back.

Most fun hotel I've been to in a LOOONG time! While visiting family in Tucson I had the pleasure of checking into the best motor inn flip I'd seen in, well ever - in person at least. The reviews stood out and the photos further piqued my interest. Imagine how giddy was when it turned out to be even better yet! The exterior murals were a major highlight. I love the story of the visiting artists that graced the walls. So much character and pizazz popped with their namesake artwork. It's hard to imagine having a favorite, but driving through the entry really gave a wow factor! Checking in was a breeze and the lobby was so fun and playful. There were so many cool pieces to look at and an in house bar to boot. I was told of the amenities which included a laundry / gym, heated pool, outdoor games & fire, indoor & outdoor dining, video games on a large screen ... (just to name a few). Oh, did I mention the breakfast oatmeal bar, on site food truck, free drink token? No? All that and I haven't even gotten to the rooms yet. The rooms were a fun, vacationing Route 69 vibe of MCM with a dash of kitsch. Bold colors popped across the room with a bright yellow desk complete with vintage paperbacks to lose yourself in by the pool. A red mini fridge was the perfect size for my two day stay. Signature accessories added to the upscale motel vibe. Playful touches like a chalkboard door added whimsical charm. As an added bonus, just outside each room was a bistro set to enjoy your coffee. Having stayed mid week, my kids and I had the pool to ourselves. We ordered snacks and drinks from the bar and had the best Halloween as they played The Nightmare Before Christmas on a projector outside! Breakfast was served with fresh fruit, Pop-Tarts and your choice of local coffees or teas. I would 100% recommend staying here the next time you're in Tucson!

Fabulous, quirky and super hipster place! Immaculately clean, great service and atmosphere. Not the Ritz by any means but if you're looking at the McCoy then the Ritz is not your vibe anyway. As for us: we don't want to stay anywhere else in Tucson! Love Hotel McCoy.

I don't have a handlebar mustache or wear suspenders but I do appreciate hipster aesthetic. I like funky art and irony and good coffee. What I don't like is stained linens, threadbare towels, an inroom fridge that gurgles all night, and questionable plumbing. Also, having an extremely amplified jam band doing weak Grateful Dead covers at 9pm (80+ decibels at my door) when I have a 6am flight in the morning, well, chef's kiss to that. The staff are all super friendly but have a first-day-as-an-intern skill set. The location is convenient if you work at the Amazon distribution center across the street or want to get on I-10 in less than a minute. Surprisingly comfortable mattress tho. That's why they get 2 stars.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. The amenities, cleanliness, abundance of staff -- a lot to offer in what looks like a renovated roadside motel. I stayed on a Monday night for an event downtown -- a very short ride away, and couldn't wait to get back after the show was over. They have a bar in the lobby (beer and wine), some convenience items and a great pool/outdoor space. The small gym was decent, the 2 complimentary beverage tokens were redeemed quickly and the room size was larger than the Tuxon up the street. It reminded me of the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, but not as posh. It's like an Ace MOTEL. They also had larger rooms with kitchenettes available. The area could be more appealing, but the McCoy is definitely the jewel of the neighborhood. Keep an eye out for deals, or check their website for offers. I (for once) lucked out with Hotels Tonight. Will look at their availability next time I'm staying in Tucson. read more

What a Fantastic Place. Look no further! This fun and Southwestern themed Inn is the cutest ever. The rooms are so so clean, decor spot on. Such comfy cool beds! Fluffy white bedding adds snuggle comfort for a great nights sleep. The pool, the accessories of bikes, various food trucks, bar, music, store and cozy hip lobby. One drink chip for a free bar libation adds to your welcome. I will definitely be back when traveling through Tucson. read more

This place was amazing! A destination, not simply a place to sleep. We loved all the art, the room, the pool, and the fun things to do. They even have kids stuff you can request be brought to your room to keep kids entertained. We would love to come back here again some day! Wow wow wow. My boyfriend and I drove to Tucson for Valentine's Day weekend and booked 2 nights here. I am SO glad we did. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. From the exceptional hospitality, to the beautiful artwork covering the entire property. We were even able to take a watercolor class in the lobby which was a major highlight. Our room was sparkling clean, and the bed gave us such a good night sleep. The location can't be beat. Overall, the entire experience was 11/10. Oh, one more thing -- THE OATMEAL BAR. This retro modern place to stay is great!! You're able to check in as late as you need. And if you need anything, they will do what they can to accommodate you. The rooms have local artists work on sale and the retro fridge is soooo cute - I need to go buy one!! Great place as they are very pet friendly, though I think only up to 2 per room. They make you feel welcome and if you have issues, like I said, they will do anything to make your stay as perfect as possible. If I'm ever back in Tucson, I definitely will be staying here. read more

You know when you look at a business's website and think "Hmm. That sounds too good to be true?" Well, Hotel McCoy is the genuine article. Comfortable. Check. Convenient. Check. Artsy. Check. Fun. Check. Accommodating. Check. Reasonably priced. Check. The kidlet loved the bunkbed and breakfast Pop-Tarts. The adults loved the Presta coffee. The a/c unit was a little loud, but it worked great (a plus here in the desert). I'm thinkin' we found a new Tucson home base. read more

We stayed at Hotel McCoy for the 4th of July and it was AMAZING!! The upper patio deck offers almost 360 views of the city and we could see all the surrounding fireworks popping off. The we would kick back at the pool, Anjou some drinks, and play some games like cornhole & ping pong. They even gave us swag bags with a bunch of goodies. Super bonus!! So fun for the family and kids. The rooms were also very clean, the beds were amazing. I wish I could have taken it home with me haha!! The staff were all nice as well. We'll be back! read more

Cool looking place, made a reservation, pet friendly per their ad. Arrived and was asked about pet, I said cat and was told, NOPE, we don't accept cats. Would have been nice had they put that in the body of their ad! The front desk was nice enough to give me the name of other hotel that did accept cats. Stayed here for a few days. What a sweet little place! I was a little concerned about the neighborhood but I felt completely comfortable and safe. Everyone is super friendly and seem to really like their jobs. Room was cute and comfortable. The breakfast bar was awesome and so was the pool. Although maybe a little more shade by the pool and a little more comfortable lounge chairs - but hey I can live with it! We will definitely stay again when we have the opportunity! read more

Such a beautiful, nice hotel! It was the most unique one I found in Tucson, so I decided to book it for my one night stay in the city. The staff was very kind, they went over their breakfast in bed style and offered me a free drink ranging from alcoholic to non alcoholic when I was checking in. I loved the art all around the hotel and the vintage inspired room decor. My only issue was the whirring of the AC unit, it was so loud that I had to turn it off in order to fall asleep. To be fair, I'm a very light sleeper so this may not be a bother to others! Overall a very clean, safe, friendly hotel that I would definitely recommend to others! read more

A fun place to get away. If you are a Holiday Inn Express kinda person, this isn't for you. This is a fun, quirky, little ( motel ) hotel. They are big on kindness here, do something good and get 10% off. Great pool, fire pit, corn hole, ping pong. Great local restaurants and breweries. Lots to see in the area. read more

The value proposition of the Hotel McCoy is to provide a fun budget-priced lodging experience representative of the creativity and character of the Tucson community, and they succeed in doing so with flying colors. The Hotel McCoy is an arts-infused transformation of a once-sketchy budget motel that arguably is in better shape now than it's ever been. It's a true model for how communities can use their existing building stock and their local talent to create something extraordinary. We don't need to knock everything down and build new! Despite staying in a modest room that could have used a bit more lighting and a bit more oomph for the air conditioner, I couldn't help but conclude that I was lucky to be staying there. I spent quite a bit of time admiring the murals that cover the walls of the hotel, and lounged with many other guests at the side of the pool as children swam with a hired mermaid. I slept very well. I had worried that there would be noise from the freeway, but that was not an issue at all. Breakfast was delivered free of charge to my room, and the oatmeal was way better than I had expected it to be. In fact, it was really good. And getting to eat toasted pop tarts was a walk down memory lane. The hotel staff all possessed a positive welcoming attitude and frankly were a delight to speak with. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer! read more

What a cool place to stay! First of all, the staff couldn't be friendlier and helpful. And, they exude happiness-they love their jobs and it's obvious. Not only was the room rate extremely reasonable (huge Roku flat screen too), but we got 2 complimentary glasses of wine upon arrival at the adorable bar. The complimentary breakfast oatmeal bar was awesome too. There must have been 15 choice toppings. The place is filled with mural art and wall hangings. Each room has art or a wonderful quote painted by the door. There's a gym, pool, pinp pong table, corn hole, rockem sockem robots! Doesn't get better! This retro art hotel is sure to be a crowd pleaser. read more

What a gem!! We have lived in Tucson for 10 years and never heard of this hotel. Now that we have we will be back again and again. We will also tell all our out of our out of town guests to stay there!! Staff was friendly and wonderful. Pool is saltwater and heated! They have all kind of games to play. Live band on the weekends and a cute nostalgic vibe to it...Rooms were clean and beds were soft. Loved it so much we booked another night! We will be back!! read more

I was very disappointed. The heat coming through the roof of the room was very uncomfortable. We had booked three nights due to a medical procedure at a local heart hospital. I was discharged a day early and even though my wife checked out on time after the second night the motel would not refund the third night. Their excuse was we did not give a 24 hour notice which was not possible due to my unexpected discharge from the hospital. I will never stay at a Hotel MCCoy in the future and would not recommend others to either. read more

This was a very hotel. Great service, clean working facilities. No complaints. Of note, my wife and I stayed at this place years ago under the previous owners; it was stained, smelled of cigarettes in "non-smoking" rooms and there was no toilet paper or towels in the room. The new owners really turned this place around, a whole new place. I can now recommend coming here instead of avoiding at all costs. read more

This hotel does SO MUCH right. Supporting local artists, having the most comfortable bed (someone please tell me what brand of mattress because I need one at home lol), excellent customer service, a free drink for 21+ guests, and so much more. The location is quiet and I barely heard any noise from rooms next door. My room was pretty clean minus the floor (bottom of my feet turned black after walking barefoot for a short time). Everything else was fantastic, such a unique and positive vibe. Will definitely return when I am back in town! read more

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel McCoy. It's a remodeled motel made into an art-filled oasis in an unassuming spot. So much, my Lyft driver asked if I was sure there was a really a hotel there and was pleasantly surprised when he pulled up. The main lobby area serves coffee, beer and wine. You're given a wooden chip when you arrive to use as your discretion. I unfortunately was only there for a short time and didn't get to sample and adult beverages, but the locally sourced coffee I got to sip on in the morning was pretty damn good. The rooms are cozy and mine had a kitchenette featuring an electric stove and other necessities. They were spacious, clean and the complimentary wifi was good so I could get some work done before heading out. It is next to the freeway, so if you're sensitive to noise, you're probably not going to enjoy it so much as you can definitely hear the traffic at certain points of the day. Nothing that your phone playing music or Netflix can't drown out - but you should take that into consideration before booking. Staff were beyond friendly and it's just short ride to the downtown area. Will definitely be booking another stay here in the future. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars for convenience and price -- that's it. We stayed only two nights here, which was two nights too many. The bed was super uncomfortable and so we didn't sleep very well, along with constant interstate noise nearby. The room was okay; nothing special -- but there could be more hooks provided to hang items. My husband did like the beer on tap that he enjoyed, however the breakfast was ludicrous. The menu must have been created by someone's five-year-old: oatmeal, Pop Tarts, juice boxes and sad little tasteless apples and oranges. Really?! Hotel McCoy can brag about its unique-ness and cool art, which they do feature -- but it's doubtful we'll stay there again and can't really recommend them. read more

This was an awesome stop for me and my dog after a long day of travel. Hotel McCoy has a whimsical, Route 66 vibe with a modern sensibility. After an incredibly exit off the freeway, We were welcomed by super friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and cool upon entry and features a retro fridge, chalk and a chalkboard on back of the door, and a nice book display. An overnight stay included a free drink at the very comfortable bar and a complimentary breakfast delivered to your room at your time of choice! There is a nice wide sidewalk out front to walk your pet as well. The buildings feature whimsical, colorful murals. Finally, this place features a fabulous small bookstore called Barrio Books! I highly recommend Hotel MCCoy if you are looking for accommodations in Tucson. Cost is SO reasonable and SO many pluses. read more

I want to thank places like Hotel McCoy for existing. For staying true to themselves, for creating a unique aesthetic, for being environmentally conscious, for giving people a reason to stay at a motel over an AirBnB, for everything. It's truly a wonderful experience from the second you walk into the lobby. Everything is clean, unique, local, and friendly. The room was pristine, the front desk friendly, the pool immaculate, everything. My wife, dog, and I were on our honeymoon roadtrip and this was an incredibly welcome respite from nights of camping in a van and smelling like campfire and god knows what else. Nice hotel to stay in comfort. Not luxuary hotel, it's like a motel. But really clean and unique. The hotel located at the place a little bit far from downtown. But it's easy to ask Uber or Lyft to come. By car, it would take 7-10mins to reach to good restaurants. There are few restaurants around this hotel. Disadvantage point. Interior is unique and artistic. Painting on the wall, unique interior facilities inside. Reception area is also unique. You can purchase some arts on the wall. Price is reasonable comparing other chain hotels. Really clean and calm. Breakfast is just oatmeal mix, tea and coffee. read more

This was such a wonderful find! We were looking for a place to stay for two nights in Tucson, and I feel so lucky to have found the Hotel McCoy. We were in room number 201 with a very comfortable queen sized bed, a retro fridge, thick fluffy towels and nice bath amenities. The whole room was nicely updated and beautifully decorated in that mid century modern style that they advertise. I really enjoyed walking around looking at all the art. The pool area is beautiful and I am sorry we didn't have more time to "just chill" on the patio. Breakfast is unusual, but it reminded me how much I love oatmeal, and just how sweet those pop tarts are - haha! The only negative things I would say are that you can hear the freeway traffic, although it didn't bother us. Also, we could easily hear activity outside our room, but found the complex to be very quiet at night. I wish I had more reasons to stay in Tucson, and will recommend this place to anyone who will listen! Thanks for a great experience. read more

Hotel Mcoy is sparkling with creativity and beauty. We stopped for just one night on a long road trip and would have happily stayed longer. From the chalkboard in the room to the selection of books (yay Agatha Christie!), to the murals and quotes and oatmeal breakfast we just loved everything about this place. I wish they had a chain all the way across America because they have created a wonderful, warm and unique environment that I hope they will develop and expand. This hotel has a lot of charm that keeps on giving. Originally built in the 1970's it already has a retro vibe and the remodel by the new owners has given it a chic and eclectic new look. My favorite aspect is the showcase of local artists in the decor of the rooms and the common areas. I stayed here with my family on a cold winters night after driving all day from the Texas Hill Country on my way back to Cali. The rooms are clean, comfy, and cozy. The memory foam mattress gave me a great nights rest.. despite my father hacking and sneezing all night from a severe sinus infection. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even came out in person to our room when we called the front desk for a question on how to open up the drain on the sink. They also offer lots of entertainment. You can color in your room, stream shows on the roku tv, play pinball in the lobby, play pingpong outside, or swim in the heated pool. Attached is a photo of other options. Lastly I just love the attitude of this place. A stylish notice on the toilet suggests you hold the handle down three seconds for the "ultimate flush experience". I have stayed here twice, and it just gets better every time. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and well designed for the traveler who is looking for someplace hip and cool. The staff is super nice and accommodating. The last time I stayed, I had my 85 lb Australian Shepherd driving a 20 ft uhaul truck. With some communication with the front desk, I was able to pull in, park, and was in the pool in less than 5 mins. Hotel McCoy costs a tad more than what's around but its so worth it. 10/10 P.S. Are you a beer or wine drinker? You get one free glass with check in. Its the best place in town. read more

I loved this place. Aside from the army of ants at the pool, it was agreat little spot. I enjoyed the art, and the pool. The TV in the room was great. The o ly improvement I'd make is to improve the air conditioning if possible. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. I loved the ice machine and enjoyed the overall ambiance. I'd definitely refer others and return if ever I return to Tucson. I really loved it here!! We were lucky enough to have the Mountain View, and it was spectacular. I love the colors, which complement the dessert landscape. Our bathroom was well stocked, and your knees don't hit anything when you sit down to pee. The shower is spacious, and the water pressure is high. Location Relevance: The Graduate at Tucson is walking distance (less than a mile) to the University of Arizona, which I learned is the Wildcats. You can walk to some restaurants, shopping, and bars. We were there when school was not in session, so there was a normal number of people everywhere.

There really isn't a lot in the immediate area of much interest; most of the best that Tucson has to offer is in the greater metro area, not the downtown core. But it is nice that they offer ample parking just steps from your room at no extra charge. The building looks nice from the outside, with its retro mod style and landscaped courtyard. The bar has very limited hours in the summer, but does have a nice drink menu and makes a good spot to hang out. The room was a bit sparse in my opinion. I was under the impression from the website that there would be a nook with a chair for reading, but my room didn't have one. It just had the bed, a couple of nightstands, a dresser, a mini-fridge, and a narrow desk. There's no closet, just a couple of hooks on the wall. The bathroom was basic, with a prefab shower unit. The decor is limited to a couple of vintage lamps and some patterned fabric for the curtains. The bed was comfortable enough and the air conditioner was wonderful at keeping it cool. There's a window next to the door with a top block that isn't covered by a shade, so anyone could stand on a stool from outside and look in the room. I went looking for ice at about 3pm one afternoon. I knew the bar was closed that day, but the entire front office area was locked and no one was around. Summer is slow season, but I wonder what if there were something more urgent than ice? At least the off-season rates are quite low.

The check in process was really smooth and all they needed was an ID as there was already a credit card on file with my reservation. They handed me a key and showed me my room and that was it. The room was super cute, I love the exposed brick and the decor. The only thing I would know is maybe request a top floor room as being on the bottom floor I could hear the people above me moving around quite a bit. However, it is a really old building and that's just life I guess.

The lunch was good burgers split , lots of fries , salads , & chicken sandwich too . There's a big staff , servers first day probably gearing more pool use. He had others helping . Note , too consider servers must carry all the food , coffee, etc from the kitchen in main building & not heated or reheated at pool unless in sun during 100degree record breaking march 2026 weather. ( jk ) It's a beautiful experience , the dining room , patio, and grand library w tall vaulted beamed ceilings. Original owner Isabella Greenway original owner created property in 1930 as a furniture factory to hire " disabled war veterans building Monterey style rancho furniture. Recently former U of Az ,nba star , broadcaster , now nba coach Steve Kerrrrrr!!! & group purchased the property . ( he lived w family on 4th street ? Block off Campbell /sam Hugh's in the day # tmi) . I've stayed , private party in a az inn home across street , dined , & always walk away with respect & admiration of this Tucson treasure . Armory Park Inn was a huge treat after staying in the usual corporate hotels. Amy and Dora handled our booking with care and went out of their way to assist us with our requests. We really appreciated the free street parking, were grateful for the indoor and outdoor seating areas and loved our breakfast. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in anywhere, including in my own home! I know where I'll be booking the next time I'm in Tucson, whether it's for work or a personal trip, our only regret is that we weren't there for longer!

The room I had on the 1st floor had a living room, dining area/study, bedroom, and large bathroom with closet. The room was great! Laundry rooms are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Coins are available at the front desk and laundry supplies you can get at the CVS next door. There is a Starbucks around the corner also and it was convenient for last minute items. Parking is typically paid for, but because I was here in a work trip, we had a block of rooms for our group and parking was included.

The elevator was functional and not too noisy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The ice machine worked (first floor) and there was a good laundry facility on my floor if I'd needed it. The property is tucked back away from the main road, so no road noise kept me awake at night.

This brunch is well worth the price and you are encouraged to eat as long as you are able to. It's really enjoyable to observe packed tables with multiple generations of guests who are smiling, laughing, quaffing and eating beautifully crafted dishes that are endless! It's a go to place for special occasions, the property is absolutely beautiful with amazing views, and because of their reputation I believe reservations are a must. And that is a high factor for safety for me when I go and stay in any gated communities/properties. I've stayed in front of the pool area each time and have not been disturbed by the pool or the freeway noise. The kids have always been happy and so have us adults. There are toys for them to have in the pool. There is a gym as well as an icemaker which are cleaner than most hotel so I'm happy about that as well. The breakfast is fantastic get the waffle, bacon and eggs. He will not regret it. I enjoy the music on the weekends and that you can really enjoy a night under the stars. The staff are all kind and attentive. It does get a little busy if you're here during a holiday, but what hotel doesn't. I hope everybody enjoys their stay.

Shower is good, bed is good, it has a great pool area, a lounge and bar and a pseudo restaurant. All of the grounds seem to be extremely clean and all of the employees that we met were very nice. But Now here is what I really didn't like about the restaurant. They pretty much had one or two things I could eat. The bacon that was ordered was so overcooked like it had been sitting there for a week. I re-ordered a side of bacon two pieces cost four dollars and I had to eat dry toast because they have fake butter.. is it that hard to have real butter and to cook things in Tallow? I couldn't eat most things scrambled eggs, in a bag blended with oil. Fake butter. Potatoes deep-fried in vegetable/canola oil, can't eat seed oils because they tear me up.. .. the food and beverage manager at this establishment and across all of their hotels need to step it up and turn this experience into being a more healthy food option people would appreciate it for sure. Day two didn't eat at the restaurant. I actually found a pop-up tent that deep fries everything in tallow that's where I ate today. I do have to say they didn't have some good employees like Angel, Lexi, Edward and Marcos. Richard seem nice and I expressed my concerns about the food in the restaurant and the door in our room. That was so hard to open after you take a shower. OK, OK, even though I would come back to stay here I do have to let them know, be aware of a few things, the smell when we arrived in our room was overwhelming. And, there was no water in the fridge, although there was a tag to show that we had complementary water. with all that I will still stay at this hotel. Hopefully next time I will be able to eat. I WOULD RECOMMED

Okay this place is rad. I was a little nervous to stay here because there were no reviews but I got here and found out it's because they JUST OPENED. Rooms were clean full of brand new stuff.There's art everywhere, the pool is super clean and I was told they clean it 2 times a day. The rooms are on the smaller side but I didn't mind, I spent most of my time at the bar and playing pinball. All of their beers are from Tucson breweries which I think is neat. Nothing within walking distance but I borrowed a bike from them (a little cruiser) and went up the street for tacos and took a Lyft to downtown for night fun. There was ping-pong, foosball, and bean bag throwing too but I was traveling solo :( so I didn't get to play. read more

We were very excited about staying, but due to multiple states rise is covid & new orders not to travel, we had to cancel our trip. I am old school & like to book direct, my daughter is new school & booked our room..which in this case proves "old school ways" are the BEST. We had an issue with cancelling our reservations and I initially blamed McCoys for the issue and I "was wrong" --Nicole @ MCCoys was prompt in replying & explained everything to me. Stayed 1 night after opening. Didn't expect much based on the rate I was paying ($85 including free breakfast), but it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel has a cool atmosphere, where they are showcasing local wine and food. Checkin was easy, the staff friendly, rooms were well appointed and ultra clean, with great furnishings. More like a $200/night hotel. To top it off, I received a complimentary bottle of wine as they just opened. Glad I saw these guys on Expedia, as the other area options under $100/night were suspect. This place claims to be "pet friendly" but doesn't allow cats. Cats are family members which are considered "pets."There's no need to make a PCS even more of a hardship for military families. read more
