Had dinner here earlier in the year and enjoyed it. Stopped by midday today for drinks and snacks, and sat at the bar. Everything was perfect, from the food to the drink to the welcoming attitude to the friendly, expert woman who was bartending. The ambiance was very calm as we went during the day but can get quite busy and chaotic at night from what I've heard, the service was great we had an amazing server wish I remembered his name, he's always rocking sunglasses though! Lamb was the best for me!! Service was great! Kids all had the sizzling seafood or chicken dishes, kind of like a fajita mix. Kids enjoyed it but I would say they were overwhelmed with amount of veggies. Shrimp was the best in the seafood sizzling dish! read more

We have been to Isla Verde a few times now. This last trip we happened to come across Hotties. Our first visit was so phenomenal we went back 2 days later for another meal. The first visit I had the stuffed red snapper which was done perfectly and my husband had the delicious sizzle seafood platter. There was such an abundance we had enough for lunch the next day. Tonight we went back for dinner. Edwin was our server and was charming and attentive. We both ordered seafood/ shrimp mofungo. The BEST we have had in all our travels across Puerto Rico. The street view of the restaurant is unassuming but the inside has ambience with some cool seating and lighting effects. We will be back on our next visit to Isla Verde! read more

Delicious! We had a great meal here. We sat outside & had a great time. I originally didn't want to come here because of the name, thinking it would be like hooters or something. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. I had the carne frites with garlic mofongo. It was fantastic. He had the seared tuna with vegetables, and said it was amazing. The food was so generous we took half of it home. I can't resist mofongo but I barely make a dent in it. I had a strawberry margarita, he had a regular margarita on the rocks. Service was good. WARNING! They add gratuity to the bill but when they bring back your credit card receipt, it doesn't show the gratuity. Then they leave the tip spot blank giving you the impression that you haven't given a tip yet. If you give another generous 15%, you will end up giving an absurd 30% tip on a crappy meal. That all said, our waiter was nice, drinks were good, but the food was disappointing. The chicken was so dry and salty I almost choked on it. Couldn't swallow the chicken without water. To top that, they forgot to serve the dressing with the salad and must have used canned olives from the dollar store. I'm complaining about that because it was a $20 salad. Not worth a single dollar. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy and so were the onions, but the salad is literally called Ensalada de Pollo. Not much without the pollo and certainly not worth $20. Prices were absolutely stupid. $80 for a salad, fries, and a couple of drinks. DON'T COME TO THIS PLACE! read more

The staff at this restaurant are dishonest and deceptive in dealing with non-locals. In the receipt image below, they first handed us a summarized receipt of our order that didn't add up to what we ordered. We the asked for an itemized receipt only to find out that: 1) They increased the prices on two of our ordered items (one was $18 originally and then increased to $24 while the other was $21 increased to $25) 2) They casually added a %15 tip to the bill without our consent. In initially sharing the summarized bill, they were clearly hoping we would tip them on top of the 15% they decided to give themselves. When I confronted them on these actions and stated clearly that I was going to pay cash and NOT card, they did the following: A) Claimed their prices changed in the system, but it was not reflected online or on the menu. They would give us $10 back. B) I still paid $70 in cash as I decided they didn't deserve any tip, but they charged my card anyway a few days later and still took the cash I left. I didn't even sign the receipt to allow the charge. Aweful management and staff that clearly don't respect what you earn and believe that they are entitled to take from others what does not belong to them. read more

Definitely stop here if you are in Isla Verde! The food is really really good! Their Pina Coladas are the best I've had on the island. This place kind of reminded me of hooters (but only as far as the name lol). My friends and I dined outside and it was a perfect setup. The place was clean and the service was pretty quick. From the management, the slow service, and food. Waited 15 minutes for drinks, 20 minutes for 7 minute wing dings, then waiting an additional 30 minutes for entrees that never came until I was ready to cancel the order. Mind you it's only 2 other tables that seated after us but got there food before us. Manager came to try to school me on standard practice for restaurants blah blah.. I work in the restaurant industry buddy and 7 minute wings and 15 minute salmon don't take over a hour to cook. I ended up pay the bill because they refused to take it off. The waitress Adriana has a very bad attitude if it was up to me she would have got no tip but I it's automatic 15% gratuity on a 3 top table. This restaurant is conveniently located on the main street, the have a parking lot attached that was reasonably priced to park at. Very COVID cuatio. They check your temp, give you hand sanitizer, seated very socially distant, all staff had thier masks in at all times. Now the food...... Delicious. This place had stellar reviews so we decided to give it a shot during a lazy night in San Juan. The server was so fun and attentive and catered to our many "unique" requests lol! The red beans were literally the BEST red beans I've had in my life! I wanted to drink the juice but I refrained for the sake of not embarrassing my friend .
