One thing I love about this gym and community is there's no such thing as a "typical member". Lōzen is a place where all ages and abilities are welcome. From college athletes to 30-something desk jockeys like me, the coaches are great at welcoming newcomers, and scaling workouts appropriately and safely. It's a common misconception belief that "I'm not in good enough shape to try CrossFit". That's probably because most people only know CrossFit from seeing The CrossFit Games on TV. That's a shame, because the workouts can be scaled for beginners. There's another misconception that CrossFit is unsafe, that people are encouraged to work until they puke, that they get rhabdomyolysis. The truth is, coaching matters! Lexi and Hannah at CrossFit Lōzen understand how to program safe workouts that push us, but not to the point of injury. Nor will you be pushed beyond your abilities. What can you expect at Lōzen? You'll sweat, you'll definitely be out of your comfort zone at times. But you'll get stronger. You'll get faster. And you'll find yourself a part of a great community. One of the best parts of my weekends are the partner workouts on Saturday morning. Coffee, CrossFit and camaraderie. What more could you ask for?

Nothing on the website mentioned any kind of fee, so I was completely confused. I had never experienced anything like this. I was a little nervous about the heat, but they keep them right around 125 and if that's too hot, you can always adjust accordingly to what would make you more comfortable. The best part is that you don't have to work out for as long. I did a bike workout for 12 minutes and after waiting 15 minutes for my Pilates, I had already burned off another 85 active calories just by standing there. The staff is so friendly and great at explaining things. Wade is super attentive and really walked us through the entire process. The best perk is that it's way cheaper than most places you would go for classes and it's unlimited with 24/7 access. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and your first class is free!

I have tried gyms before and even a personal trainer. Wisco fit is the first place to get me excited about working out and to actually have the motivation to stick with it. Never done CrossFit before? Doesn't matter! I didn't know the first thing about it but everyone is so helpful and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this place and I really hope they can continue on after all this Covid stuff has passed. Try this place out, you will be so glad you did.

I started taking tennis lessons there with Scott and have always had a great experience. Over the years, I've watched the club evolve into so much more. The facilities are always clean--whether it's the tennis courts, the gym, or the newly added pickleball area. There's also a place to just hang out and have a snack or a drink. Recently, I've been visiting the Mequon and River Glen locations more often. There's a full gym now, a pool, saunas, and really nice locker rooms with all the amenities you could need. The addition of pickleball is a great bonus, and the staff and coaches continue to be friendly, helpful, and fun to learn from. Yes, the membership is on the pricier side, but given the range of amenities and the quality of the facilities, I absolutely think it's worth it if you take advantage of everything they offer. Being someone who struggled for over 15 years with chronic back pain and fatigue, to my surprise these classes have truly been a life saver. While researching on line trying to find a personal trainer that specializes in working with back problems I came across a journal sentinel article about this gym. I went in knowing nothing or ever even heard of cross fit. I told them about my back problems and my prior surgeries. I started out real slow, barely enough strength to do a girl push up. They spent a lot of time explaining the exercises, how to alter them in regards to my fitness level making sure I do them correctly and use proper form. I mostly work with Matt, who has helped me tremendously. Slowly I've been gaining more and more strength and endurance I didn't know I was capable of. Everyone that works out there is so super supportive and I actually look forward to getting exercise! The biggest part of all this....My back pain and the pain down my leg is GONE, like it was never there. I am so thankful to have found this place!!!
