I recently moved to the Matthews area and originally joined a different "box". I spent 3 months there and felt ignored, uncoached, and unmotivated. I was struggling to find the desire to go to classes and eventually stopped going altogether. I decided to drop in to Kaiju and give it a try. After 3 classes at Kaiju, I got what I had been seeking for 3 months at the other gym. Brian and Joey have been so pivotal in helping me find my motivation again in the 3 short weeks that I've been attending classes. The 9am class has been so wonderful and welcoming. I am looking forward to continuing my fitness goals with Crossfit Kaiju.

I felt like I had to get back in shape before I started CrossFit again. However, I took a chance and randomly reached out to CrossFit Kaiju, thinking that I'd do one class and confirm that I shouldn't be doing it. What I found was a community of very friendly people, coaches that ALWAYS encourage and do a great job of working with all levels. Heads and shoulders above what I've experienced previously. I've been attending classes twice a week now for almost 2 months and still love it. Highly recommend, especially for people who feel like they can't. You can and Kaiju makes it so much more fun to try.

We had classes with Lauren and Jaccob. They both are personable and explain the exercises very well. They can help you set goals for yourself and motivate you. It is a two-way street and they have the enthusiasm to get you moving. Improvement was visible to us before the first month was completed. We will be back for more classes:-)

Anyways, Jennifer is an amazing personal trainer and motivator. Her personal training sessions are energizing and make you feel like you want to come back (which is like half the battle for me)! She motivates you from within and makes you feel empowered with the decisions that you make. I'm a stay at home mom so it's hard for me to find time to work out and it was so easy to schedule with her. I haven't been able to make her group classes but I'm so eager to join them. I hear they're really fun! You're in really good hands with Jennifer if you decide to get in shape and change your life!

John, it's a struggle to get to your classes, but - I always leave your classes feeling so much better. Thank You! I'm glad we have you at the Charlotte JCC - You are such a gem! - Overall, folks at the JCC are very friendly; It's a good / family oriented crowd; We feel welcomed and extremely comfortable there - We really enjoy the JCC during the Summer Months; - Snack Bar is really great, wish they would keep it open all year round. Membership Fees are completely reasonable and a great way to support the Charlotte Jewish Community. Work out staff are incredible non-judgmental, friendly and helpful. It appears Administration does not allow any "Ding Dongs" to work there. Everyone working there is helpful and pleasant. Decided to try out CrossFit Charlotte while visiting Charlotte for the weekend. We knew being…read morevisitors that we would have to pay a drop in fee and sign a waiver. We arrived 25 minutes early. No one greeted us. No coach said hello. I give my own CrossFit Coaches credit. They go out of their way to make visitors feel welcome. These folks weren't the same friendly CrossFit family that I am used to. We have dropped in to other CrossFit gyms when traveling and everyone is always over the top nice and welcoming. The front room looks like a old dr's office. There are kids and cartoons!!? Um....ok. Don't even get me started on the smell of that front room.... Bleh. We stood around for 20 minutes and still nothing. We grabbed our waters and left. I'm sure Charlotte has better CrossFit gyms than this one. Absolutely awful. Also, they appeared not to have scaling options. So beware if you are not able to RX.
