It was after 6 pm so we chose to rush to After Hours veterinarian clinic. The Vet Tech was very nice and got us in in a relative fast manor. Though my dog was bleeding and we showed our credit card we needed to fill out lengthy paperwork before Dr. Forster even came out to look at my dog. The "treatment" was done in the "shabby", smelly and not clean looking waiting area, which was very small. I explained what happened and Dr. F. looked superficially at my dog saying we have a few options, let me write a quote for you... A quote? Can we not discuss the options and I decide what is best? No I need to write a quote and then you decline what you do not want. After 10-15 minutes or so I get a lengthy quote with a cost of about $1000 plus dollars offering to stitch the lower chin laceration. I had to decline every item Dr. F suggested. I was taken aback by that procedure. Mind you I have had many animals, volunteered in Shleters and Vet Clinics, as well as have 1 semester of training as a Vet Tech under my belt as well as participated in many no cost vaccination clinics. I can tell when something is off. But I was frazzled as MY dog was injured. I declined them taking my dog back to the surgery room, but asked if they could make sure she is ok otherwise and nothing is missed. There was no further examination, no temperature measuring, no overall examination of any sorts. I was prescribed antibiotics and she was been given a 1st subcutaneous injection. I was charged $ 70 normal examination fee and a $ 80 after hours fee. Plus the Antibiotics. I came home to read the invoice in depth to see the explanation and charges, and it shows Dr. F did temp measure, an examination and other testing - but that is incorrect and false. The next day when giving my dog her meds I saw that she was trying to tap her lower lip with her paw, so I examined it closer to find the Vet missed that the lower lip was caught in the lower canine. I was upset to say the least. Thank goodness I have a bit of experience and was able to release the lip to avoid further damage. Dogs are resilient and lip injuries do heal faster than other places. I called the office asking for an office manager. The Tech who answered repeated multiple times there is no office manager and no one is available to talk to me even when I asked when I could talk to someone responsible to discuss my frustration. In my opionion a: Let me check and get back to you as soon as I find something out OR let me talk to the Vet who treated your dog and get back to you OR the owner of the clinic will get back to you. BUT NOTHING even in the vicinity of a caring response. I got a call from the owner eventually, who told me bluntly it is what it is and the lip got caught in the canine AFTER our visit. I shared mt frustration and to avoid any negative posts on public media I asked if as a gesture to waive the after hours fee, but she insulted me and hung up. I tried getting a refund through my credit card disputing a partial charge, but that was declined too. They are not compassionate, not empathetic and money seeking. I cannot recommend you trust your pet in their hands. I would NOT have shared this lengthy and detailed experience if the owner would have understood that mistakes can happen and refunded the partial amount I asked for the missed injury. PLEASE - if you love your pet - do avoid going here at all

    Noah’s Ark Boarding

We had a very frustrating and horrible experience with the doggy daycare associated with Noah's Ark…read moreVet Clinic and Boarding, Muttesori. The techs that work with the daycare, Jen and Nicky were not helpful and made several customer service mistakes when dealing with us as new customers. First off, don't trust them when they review your dogs vet records. They called us to say that both our dogs needed two shots each that they did NOT need. We went to see the Noahs Ark vet, Dr Dee and our records were properly screened there and it was determined that in fact they did NOT need these shots. If our records had been screened with care at the daycare by Jen properly then she would have seen that she was clearly mistaken. Next day we brought our dogs in for their very first day of doggie daycare and my husband was given paperwork (contract) to sign that was incorrect and was meant for the dog boarding facility. The contract listed that our dogs would only be taken out for potty breaks three times a day??? Why would a dog owner knowingly leave their dog in doggy daycare all day if they knew that they only got three potty breaks during the day. And my husband and our two large weims were made to wait in a narrow hallway on the stairs for 15mn before being helped. Then they were left to sign this contract while all the dogs were barking in the background and other customers were coming up and down the stairs with their dogs. This was completely unprofessional and distracting for both the dog owner and the dogs. My oldest dog, Moose (the protective male) growled and barked at another dog that came walking up from the stairs behind him and the daycare worker, Nicky reprimanded my dog for that behavior. She told him, "he better watch himself". Whoa, wait a minute...my dog is new, first day at their daycare, he's on a leash and a dog approached him from behind while he was crowded on the stairs in a narrow hallway with tons of other barking dogs in the background. What part of that situation wouldn't make any dog nervous and put the dog on the defensive? If the daycare worker knew anything about taking care of dogs and animal behavior then she would have known NOT to reprimand the dog for only acting in natural animal behavior. Rather she should have made our dog feel at ease in a new, strange environment and comforted him so that he would have felt threatened. It was not negative behavior, it was natural for him to bark and growl at another dog that suprised him coming up the stairs behind him. Maybe dog daycare workers should get educated on normal animal behavior and how to interact with dogs first before getting hired. Absolutely unprofessional behavior on the part of the workers that work at Muttesori Doggy Daycare. Neither of the employees bothered to apologize for their horrible customer service skills and lack of professional behavior when dealing with new customers. Awful!!! Now our experience with Dr Dee in the vet clinic was the complete opposite. She was kind, fun and really showed a love for animals. We were very comfortable and happy with her services the day prior when our dogs got their exam. Sad to see that her same work ethics are not passed on to her employees. I am not telling anyone to avoid this business but I am going to warn you NOT to expect organization, accuracy with your dogs vet records review, professionalism, courtesy in customer service and you will definitely experience a lack of responsibilty with the daycare workers. Good luck!!! Worst doggy daycare experience ever and we have been taking our dogs to different daycares over the past 5 years as we've moved around due to military relocation. Sad. We had high hopes for this place because on the phone they brag about their services but their actions don't live up to their talk. Go somewhere else or just hire a dog walker that you can interview yourself.
