Horrible service and they sound more like a scam than a real service. As soon as I told them that I will pay only when the workers are here at my place, the person making "schedule " replied that he never received my last text and spot was taken I have asked them question related to payment before sending them my address but instead I have received text that they haven't received my last text and gave the spot to someone else. It is not hard to reschedule for another day if communication is good, why should someone get upset with loosing time slot when there's a possibility to reschedule?? I find this cleaning service via yelp, and ordered move out cleaning. The guy that were in touch with me was pretty responsive during the service. After finishing the cleaning, I was not able to go to my old place to check in the same day, so I paid before I check, $297. When I check, The cleaning is not that good with some obvious stain left on my countertop. I asked the guy that guy said the cleaner can go reclean..but after a week I didn't hear anything. He became not very responsive. I have people moving in next Monday. That guy said he can't find anyone so will refund me some money. Starting here the guy only replied my message once after several pings, very irresponsive. That guy said refund me $25. I kept asking when can refund, several times, still no response. I know if I don't continue ask, he won't give me the refund. I don't like the experience. Seems not sincerely want to provide a good service and run long term business. read more

I confirmed with the office that the carpet cleaning is not included usually but they still helped me vacuum the carpet after I came up with. So if you tell them your wishlist or the priority and a time limit they'll stick to it. Thank you for reaching out to re-clean. However like you mentioned due to this pandemic, I too, am very cautious of people coming in to my new place. I made the appointment with your cleaners to do the move in cleaning without any furniture or belongings so that it would be cleaned thoroughly and they do not need to move heavy furniture. I already have all my stuff in the home and paid another company to sanitize (fog) the whole place. Having your maids come in to re-clean defeats the purpose of having my place sanitized. With an older parent living with me who is at high risk due to age and medical reasons is the main reason why I am hesitant to schedule another appointment. If the task was done correctly in the first place, we would not be in this predicament. It's not like I forgot to remind them anyway because I told them what I expected before they even began their cleaning (if you actually call what they did cleaning? see all pictures attached). read more

BEWARE!!!! I have been using Perfect Shine Housekeeping for house cleaning services for over a year now and I love the cleaners that come to my house every month. However, I started to be concerned with their tardiness or sometimes not even showing up on the day of my scheduled appointment. I understand that accidents happen that caused them not to show up or show up late so as long as it doesn't happen so often, I was willing to continue with Perfect Shine services. HOWEVER, today when I was meeting with Marc Mcdonald to get a quote for my office for initial cleaning and bi-weekly cleaning, I was talked down on by Marc when I mentioned my concern with the cleaners not being on time. I only brought this up because we have to operate our business at a certain time and I would not want the cleaners to come late and clean during our business hour as we have to meet clients as well. Marc instantly went off on me and raised his voice. I am a small girl and he is probably over 6 feet tall so when he was yelling at me just because of my concerns, I just stood there in fear and didn't want to respond him as it could upset him even more. No customers should be treated like this, especially by the Co-Owner of a reputable company. Did I think he was going to attack me? Yes. Did he apologize? No. He even told me that I should switch my cleaning appointment to a weekday so the cleaners would arrive on time. I told him I do not prefer this as I am a renter and not the owner of the house. I was willing to have the cleaners come to my office during non-operating hours when nobody is there because my CEO is fine with it. However, my landlord does not approve the cleaners coming in the house without someone presents. I told Marc this and he replied saying Perfect Shine is insured and bonded and got, even more, anger at me for not trusting his company and his cleaners to come in my house without someone presents. I believe that everyone has a right to their own preference and he shouldn't yell at me and tell me it is my fault that I need cleaners to come on the weekends so I should not complain about their being late or not showing up. After he finished verbally attacking me, he walked off as if he no longer wants my business. Thank you for making my decision even easier as I will NEVER EVER use Perfect Shine Housekeeping services again for my home or my business. read more

I just moved to Menlo Park, this is the first time using House Cleaning Maids and boy are they professional!! I have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo, I signed up for the deep move in cleaning and was charged $99/hr for two cleaners, they spent 3 hours, my place looks better than when I bought it, actually if it was this clean I might have paid more for my condo ... :) Estella and Karina (I believe that was the name of my cleaners) worked diligently in those hours to ensure my place was spick-and-span. Their customer care attendant called me from the office after to make sure I was happy with the service and they charged my credit card after and sent me a receipt. She offered to have them come back monthly to maintain the cleaning for a fraction of the initial deep cleaning. I have used many cleaning services in the past and this by far has been the best experience I have had. I would highly recommend them!! read more

Everything is so clean! I hung out for the two hours and watched the progress. I ordered a deep cleaning. Basically most people (like me) probably underestimate the amount of mess but I watched these 2 ladies work and they really did work efficiently for 2 hours. I had them do a deep cleaning all over and a deep clean of the kitchen and bathroom. It takes a lot longer than you might think because they take everything apart and clean it and put it all back together (oven, range, fridge, microwave) but that's what a deep clean is supposed to be! ********review on customer service/communication*********** I submitted a form from their website to request a cleaning. This was Friday around 1pm. I quickly got a reply from the New Account Manager giving me rates. After back and forth emails, he asked me what day would be good. When I requested Monday or any weekday the following week, I did not hear back the rest of that Friday or through the weekend. He finally emails me back Tuesday morning, giving me a date/time that they are available. Sadly, his response was just too slow and frankly, it would have been nice if he followed up by email or phone in a timely matter. By the time he contacted me, I had already had my house cleaned by someone else!! If a business cannot carry through a new client transaction, I highly doubt their service is impeccable. I happily paid another cleaning service that offered more for a lower rate. Thanks for sucking so I could give my business to someone else!!! UPDATE 7/19 So I received an email again after I told the New Account Manager that if he wanted new business, it would help if he would follow up in a timely manner. Apparently he was out sick and couldn't check email. Understandable. Then he told me his assistant decided NOT to reply to me. First off, if you are out sick and have an assistant, isn't your assistant supposed to ASSIST? Secondly, the assistant chose not to reply to me because it was a Friday and I wanted someone to come clean on Monday or after; contacting me on Friday or the weekend was too early to set up an appointment. Yeah, that makes sense. Instead, they believe they can email me Tuesday morning and basically state "we can come right now." Not good, people. read more

Because of this, it feels like the housework has fallen to the wayside - my fiance is working on his PhD, I work more than full-time. Needless to say, we're busy people. I know that my salary affords me the luxury of hiring a cleaning service, so I decided to give Perfect Shine a shot. They had some of the most reasonable prices, so we set up an appointment roughly a month ago. I feel bad for the ladies, because they likely got a bit turned around in my neighborhood. However, when they showed up, they were pleasant, efficient, thorough, and left the place looking spotless. The first cleaning was essentially top-to-bottom. We even discovered later that they were kind enough to scrub out our drip pans on the stove - something I loathe, because stuff tends to boil over. The pillows were fluffed; they even placed my teddy bear and little stuffed Android toy on the bed. It was very cute! In short, the apartment looked wonderful. We decided to hire the team on every other week. Today they arrived right on time and immediately got to work while my fiance and I finished lunch. After my fiance left, I was left with my work, and I stayed out of their way as best I could. They were in and out in a jiffy, and the place looks absolutely lovely. I'd definitely recommend this service to anyone. I certainly feel better equipped to keep the apartment up in between cleanings, which means that my fiance doesn't have to worry as much.
