Now we all know, mistakes are made, food is sometimes overlooked. The issue we have here is the misrepresentation. As a consumer, we want a fair meal for a fair price. We got a take out order after getting their mailer. We got the sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, fried dumplings, egg rolls and pork fried rice. First Asia food trying in this area. It was very good. We will order again! The sweet and sout pork was good, some pieces were heavily Breaded. The orange chicken had a very good, fresh orange flavor, best I've ever had. Realized it wasn't what asked for or what was thinking we agreed upon. Usually enjoy supporting family businesses.. Especially, with children learning business. The indifference shown i received with corrected order from the female. This type of customer service is not what is chosen when spending monies. The older heads might should step aside with the indifferences when providing customer service. At least the children didn't show indifference but patience in trying to assist with proper request. Instead the female that took over showed such indifference its not what i prefer. Instead of the indifferent female older head continuing the indifference given... please take lessons from the children in personality and customer service. There could have been assistance and understanding that would merit frequent returns just because of the customer service. Familiarity comes with more knowledge and frequence. read more

I used to rave about this place. The food is good the management is disgusting and not worth the trouble. I ordered through thier app and added a 3.24 tip. I haven't fooled with House of Chan in over a year because last time there was delivery issues and we live less than a mile (0.60 miles). My total with taxes was $21 and some change and then with the tip was $24.88. Imagine my surprise when I look down when my food is delivered and see a total of $27.88 - including some mysterious add on delivery fee of $3.00. So I call the manager and shes not listening at all. She starts arguing at me about the taxes and not understanding me by the way the taxes charged are even different the app receipt says 1.97 and the in store receipt says 2.27 in taxes. I told her to send her driver to come pick up the food. She states "if you're so unhappy with the delivery charge what were you too lazy to come get your order yourself" I'm livid at this point and I tell her that I have three young toddlers one sleep and I would have and I'm not lazy. I then told her I was going to stop talking to her because she was being ridiculous and I'm going to call my bank and dispute that 3.00 charge. I hang up and again, imagine my surprise when North Augusta Public Safety calls me. So this manager calls the police and tells them im.going to cancel my entire transaction, which is never what I said. After explaining the interaction. He apologized to me and advised me to never do business with her again and that he comes there a lot because of this same issue. He said this place does this a lot. Wow. How disgusting. However, if you're looking for friendly service, and they have one of their middle school aged children working, go ahead and hang that up. The youngest daughter is rude and speaks to adults like she's bored with them and they're idiots. But don't worry, there are no adults correcting her LOL so if you love it, keep going. However, customer service is important, especially if you have faithful orange chicken and egg roll and chicken wing customers handing over their money. I'll begin by saying This has been our go to spot since Ming Yat and Ming Wah closed. It is a " hole in the wall" however the foods always been good. Tonight the plum sauce was so thin and watered down it ran straight off the food. It had a great taste it's just a shame they're cutting that corner. The portion sizes were ridiculously small and the wings were so small I couldn't believe they were from a chicken. On the positive side the egg drop soup was better than usual.. very fresh tonight. I realize prices have gone up due to various reasons and with that being said the price is RIDICULOUS. Hope they shape up soon or we'll be asking for recommendations. read more

First time here very dark inside did not like that you could not see outside very well from inside. Very clean and nice and quiet place small most have been recently remodel and for the decor there was none. ordered orange chicken combo plate not bad actually had lots of flavor in the chicken not so in the fried rice. Wife had almond chicken she said it was ok but we are very picky spoiled Ming Yat folks. Egg rolls were fair chicken wings were good and crispy good taste. Shrimp egg food young was good and flavorful not greasy at all and they use a larger shrimp than most places not the tiny cocktail ones.The prices were a bit higher compaired to other places some items we're almost $2 more all in all good food read more

I rarely takeout unless I'm super crunched for time. This restaurant lets you seat yourself and it has one waitress manning the whole restaurant. It's not a huge restaurant but if this place was packed it could be a problem for the waitress. There were so many things to choose from and I decided(like Solange) to go with one of my favorites, Chicken and Broccoli. It comes with an egg roll and pork fried rice. As I waited for my food the waitress kept my cup filled with some bomb ass tea that I think I drunk 5 cups of. The food came out and the taste of everything was on point!!! The only thing I can complain about is that they were VERY skimpy with the pork in the pork fried rice and they have an option to add more in dollar increments but why should I have to pay extra for something that I suppose to have anyway. That's the only thing I can really complain about, but other than that I am satisfied with the offerings of this place. I also like the fact that anything you order off of the combination menu is all the same price. I thought that was great because sometimes I like to try different things but the prices sway me sometimes so even if I try something here I'm not fearful of wasting my money if I'm not pleased with it. Me and my sister placed an order for delivery, paying with credit card around 7:18pm, mind you we live 10 mins from the restaurant. They told us 45 min before arrival. Here comes and hour later.. still no food. So we called back asking the whereabouts of our food. They told us it was on the way. 25 mins passed and still no food. So I get back on the phone with them and as I'm asking for a full refund, the driver pulls up. I grab the food and walk inside. The driver stayed in my yard for 3 mins before he left. So we get to the food and it's cold, and dry. So we are beyond pissed! They called back saying they can take 3 dollars off our order?? What the hell does 3 dollars do? So I hung up. We get another call saying that we never signed the receipt and that the driver was coming back to take the food back.. AFTER WE READY PAID!! And then proceed to say well if you don't give the food back or sign the receipt we will have to take it up with the cops. They called the cops all the way to our location to get the receipt signed. When the cop showed up he was confused and just nicely asked us to sign it for him so he could go do his real job. Hence it's not illegal to not sign a receipt so he really couldn't do anything. Have been going to the a house of Chan for more 20 years, but today I went to pickup my order. I question a additional charge for duck sauce, that you receive for free when you eat in house. I was told by the waitress it's business and if I don't like it go somewhere else to eat. I do admit that I was upset but no waitress should speak to a customer the way she spoke to me. If she can't handle upset customers she should leave and work where she don't have to deal with the public in fact the owner didn't seem to be upset with her. So I was pleasantly surprised with The House of Chan. It has been at least 15 years since I ate there last. But upon a friend asking us to join them for dinner, I was totally satisfied. The service was excellent. Our waiter took great care of us and made us feel at home. By far the best egg rolls we have had since moving back from Alaska(also the best Chinese place we have ever eaten at was 33 miles north of the Arctic Circle). The food came out quick and was perfect. I'm a big fan of spicy food so I went with the Kung Pao chicken. It could have been a little hotter, but sriracha did the trick.
