    Steak Tartare
    Lori R.

When I write these reviews, obviously it's important to consider the quality:cost aspect. Certainly, an inexpensive pizza place can still have 5 stars even though you may never get what you would in a high end Italian restaurant because you can't compare apples to oranges.. So with that said, the food was decent but I think it fell short compared to what it cost. Two appetizers, 3 total drinks, and 2 entrees were about $265 (not including the tip). The food was decent but did not wow, though I do feel certainly that the ambiance was great and it would be a nice place for drinks. The view of the stadium was very fun as well. The steak tartare was very good, not the absolute best I've had but absolutely the best that I've had from this area. The burrata was tasty as well. The steak was the duck fat marinated ribeye, it had way too much salt so it was a bit difficult to appreciate its true taste. The summer in Italy drink was delicious, they did a nice job with it. Here's the other caveat, I had serious GI issues for about 36 hours following the meal. I don't think it quite qualified or felt like food poisoning but it was brutal. I'm never one to call out of work and I didn't but I was concerned that's where we were headed. I'm not sure the cause of it but it does make me somewhat hesitant to go back. Service was slow but our waiter was very nice, attentive and considerate. Overall, there are some perks and some downsides. Again, great bar vibe and fun views, but probably wouldn't do the whole meal again.

The food was pretty good. I ate off of the appetizer specials menu. I had the chilled sesame ginger tuna tataki and the meatballs. The one thing I didn't like, and you need to be aware of is that there is a 3% up charge if you use a credit card. Usually this wouldn't be an issue but I was traveling for business and I had to use my corporate credit card. That 3% charge put me over my per diem. That's why they didn't get 4 stars.

This is my second visit and I enjoyed it. From the valet service, to the deliciousness of our food, it was an exceptional experience. It was not jammed packed like it was during my first visit. This time it was well spaced to enjoy a private meal in an intimate setting. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the restaurant and what it had to offer. I was curious of the meatballs after seeing a picture of it online and it did not disappoint! It was delicious! My daughter and I were celebrating her 27th birthday and I wanted to give her an experience. Brinkley's didn't disappoint. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the most expensive meal options around, the steak, atmospheres and staff are worth the price. Skip the tiny tasteless desserts.

We had a date night to brinkleys and I enjoyed myself. We opted for outside seating instead of inside. The drinks were amazing. The service was great. Our server was extremely attentive & knew the menu well. We thoroughly enjoyed the tomahawk & to no one's surprise we didn't finish it lol. The server boxed it for us to go & we finished it the next day. Overall 10/10. I will be back!

I heard good things about this place so I've been wanting to come here for a long time. Does bread not come with the meal or is it extra charge if we ask for it? No idea because the waitress did not clarify and we therefore did not get any bread with our meal. The wagyu tasting appetizer was very mediocre and in my opinion not worth it. I would choose other appetizers instead. The hangar steak and filet mignon we got were both perfectly delicious. My filet didn't come with the potato croquette as promised and I had to ask for it after I noticed. When it finally came out, the potato croquette was basically a plain fried mashed potato ball. If you have the option to switch it out for another side, please do. We got the basque cheesecake for dessert and it was also very average. The end of the dinner left a bad impression when we were presented with the dinner total without an itemized bill and an additional credit card processing fee. After we asked for a receipt, they realized they charged us for an extra drink, which wouldn't have been caught otherwise. Also what's with the extra 3.5% credit card processing fee? This is supposed to be a high end restaurant, not nickel and diming people over a $200+ bill.

Risotto (a bit under), stawberry and peach salad with salmon (probably my favorite out of our meal that night), scallops, oysters.

A little sad they no longer have tini Tuesday and wine down Wednesday on our recent visit bit we still enjoyed our meal. Our food came out quickly we got a lot of things to share. I think the sides are a good size for sharing. I love that they have bread pudding have different flavors that change all the time.

Incredible ambiance and standout service! Tanner was very professional, communicative, and friendly. The restaurant was beautifully located at the beginning of North Augusta and across the canal. Parking was just a little walk away but they also have valet available. Scallops, pork chops, cheesecake, and fried green tomatoes were delicious.

This place is awesome. We went with some friends and the four of us had a wonderful time. We thought the food was great. I had such a good time. I'm planning on going back real soon. Maybe within the next week. They have excellent steak choices. Nice cuts, prime meat you can't miss. Give it a try.

It's a bit on the salty side when it comes to the steaks and sides. The service is excellent though!

The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was certainly very mellow. Our server, Cassandra, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the menu and made some great recommendations. Their menu is a southern American fusion for sure, putting unique spins on classic dishes. Here's what we had: Drinks: -Bottle of: Vitiani rosso Appetizer: -Charcuterie board (a la carte): -Bresaola (pork) -The drunken goat (Spanish cheese) -The red dragon cheddar cheese -Bacon Jam Dinner: -Pork loin chop -Confit duck pot pie -Beet carpaccio Salad The charcuterie board was very unique and delicious. Afterwards, my lady, and I split the beet salad, her dad had the pork loin, and her mom had the pot pie. Everything was absolutely delicious. My mom raves about the duck pot pie. She's been telling her friends and family all about it. She had extra and took it home. We had a great experience that my fiancée wanted to meet the owner. There is plenty of parking. I'm not sure why it's called "at the river" bc I didn't see a river. There is inside and an outside enclosed area for seating when you enter from the parking lot. It is decorated like a casual bar and grill. My server was in training but friendly and worked alongside his trainer head server. For beverages, I ordered the oyster shooter and that Bloody Mary did not disappoint. I also had a Black Raspberry Margarita. This seems to be a thing in Augusta for Margaritas as well as this was the 2nd restaurant I went to and had this. The other place was better though. But let's talk about the food! The catfish was super tasty. They gave me fries although I didn't order them, and of course I still ate them. I had a side of baked potato salad. Parking was its usual Broad Street challenge, yet once inside there was plenty of space and an easygoing rhythm to the dining room. The only real hiccup was the slightly counterintuitive flow of things, since you order first and then find a seat, and I wasn't the only one who walked in and paused awkwardly until someone pointed out the process. I've said for a while that you should stick to what a place is named for, because ordering chicken wings at a pizza shop or a barbecue joint has burned me more than once, but tonight I ignored that rule and it turned out to be the right call. Mrs. K took down my side of fries with enthusiasm while I focused on the wings, meaty and generously sauced, the kind you finish without a second thought and then sit back with a local beer feeling like you made exactly the right choice. Every single one was worth it, no regrets at all, a small delight tucked inside a busy Augusta evening. I did see two of those massively stacked burgers get delivered to another table and while I was a little jealous, I know that having it without the bun wouldn't have honored it the way it should be.
