I am so happy I finally tried House of Lashes. I am a creature of habit and a "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" type, but after months of not having lashes I was willing to give it a try. I showed up for my appointment with Tiki and she is so cute and great! I told her that I don't like the extreme fluffy lashes and prefer more of a hybrid style. This place is incredibly awful. I can't even begin to express how poor their customer service is or inability to provide some guidance or direction to someone who is a new client. I went to get my lashes done last week for an engagement shoot and Amber was friendly when finally starting to do my lashes and I appreciated the small talk as a new client. Fast forward to this week, I decided to get a 30 min fill which is about a week from when I got my classic full set. I was 2-3 mins late to my appointment and to my surprise once I walked in Leslie immediately said, Are you Stephanie? In a less than pleased tone. I reply yes I am, sorry I am a few mins late. And her response, short and firm a bit condensing , "I can only go till 7p just so you know" Anyways, she proceeded to start to put tape before the gel cooling eye pads. I felt a bit uncomfortable but didn't say anything for a moment - then she begins to shuffle looking for lashes, I get a bit startled as a bunch of cases drop to the floor behind me. My human reaction was to turn and open my eyes to see if everything was okay. But I sense that she was uneasy and I started to feel really uncomfortable that she was almost rushing, like she didn't want to do my lashes at all. I felt like this was a moment where I wanted to speak up so I said my eyes feel uncomfortable and I can't shut them tightly, she then quickly removes the tape, and proceeds to voice out, "did you just wanna reschedule?" I said no, but she continues to say relax and I keep saying I can't feel comfortable cause my eye can't shut & the light is coming into my eye. She gets up and head to the iPad, and goes do you just wanna reschedule, I said no I don't want to can I just take them off? Would you have time at least to remove them? This place is ridiculous I just want to get something done and feel really uncomfortable so can you please just take them off with the time we have left?" She said no, I can refused customer service to you and I want you to leave. I stayed a bit to figure out where I could go, I froze quite honestly, I didn't know if my legs could move. I ultimately didn't want someone to place lashes on my eye who was clearly uneasy and uncomfortable or clearly wasn't inclined to help me with the way her body language was and attitude towards the time I entered the salon. In the end, she continued to ask me to leave and to refuse my service and I proceeded to ask how I offended her, I really didn't want to leave being so distraught and I truly don't know what I had said to completely make her feel so angry that she threatened to call 911 on me. So of course I stepped out, and as I did she locked the door behind me and proceeded to rant in front of the 1 customer and Amber. I'm still shocked, I don't even know how to rate this salon but if you do go, just don't talk or ask any questions and let them do their job. Cause you might just get treated like a criminal. -A girl just trying look fresh for the weekend Ps. House of Lashes (Renton) is by far the most professional and knowledgable establishment in the Seattle area if you want eyelash extensions. My new eyelashes changed my morning routine and my life. I no longer need to wear eyeliner and mascara, I can just get up, give them a quick comb through and head to the gym. I no longer need to worry about my makeup running when I'm working out, or crying during a sad movie. They are so beautiful and I get so many comments on my eyes. Most people just ask me what kind of mascara I use and are surprised when I tell them NONE. Lol...never use mascara on eyelash extensions. The chemicals will break down the glue...and even more so if you use eye makeup to remove the mascara. I had a terrible experience at a local Renton spa/ nail salon my first time getting extensions. The owner of the salon suggested I try it since it was new service being offered. I foolishly complied and ended up with clumps of black lashes that looked like spider legs glued to my lashes and eyelids. The glue she used burned my eyes and afterwards, I couldn't even blink without pain. I went back to the same salon within a one week period to get her to "fix" my lashes. Finally, I wised up and did some online research regarding proper application and materials used for eyelash extensions. The first time I called and spoke with Tiki, I explained my situation and she squeezed me in right away. She spent at least 20 minutes explaining all of the ins and outs of eyelash extensions, and all of the different types - from mink and silk to 4D. Instead of purchasing a Groupon, because I had no idea what would work best with my very short and light lashes, I told her to use her expertise and choose for me. I couldn't have been more pleased. It's very difficult and lengthy process to remove improperly applied extensions. Removal of the glue can tear the skin on the eyelids and pull out your original lashes. If you want your new eyelashes to look good, you need all of your natural lashes without gaps. Tiki was able to remove the spider legs off of my lids painlessly and without losing a single one of my natural lashes. She applied the 4D eyelashes in a cat-eye shape in about 90 minutes perfectly and painlessly. They last about 2-3 weeks with no irritation and look gorgeous the entire time. Thank you House of Lashes, Tiki and the girls for everything! I love you guys. With over ten years of experience applying eyelash extensions, this is definitely the place to go. Couldn't be happier with my lashes or service at House of ILashes! Tiki was phenomenal!! They were able to get me in super last minute and they always had super open communication. And I appreciate how easy it was to schedule an appointment. I was a little scared because I've had bad reaction to lashes in the past and requested to have sensitive glue, but they called me back as soon as they opened to let me know they didn't have specific sensitive glue and recommended me to a studio that did. After not being able to get ahold of the other salon and having a time limit, I decided to take a chance and I'm happy I did. They agreed to see me but clarified that they do not offer refunds if a reaction happens however will remove the lashes for free within 72 hours. Thankfully none of that was needed. Tiki has been doing lashes for over 16 years (or something close to that) and she's amazing at what she does! My sensitive eyes had no issues with the glue they used and her impeccable technique made the whole experience so comfortable that I was falling asleep while she was putting them on. I've tried lash extensions years ago and soon realized my eye rubbing habits aren't compatible with them. I started using lash serum earlier this year and it has given me great improvement on length. However, my straight lashes won't hold a curl from a lash curler for more than a few hours. I spent so much money trying out different mascaras promising curl-holding power, but none of them lived up to its promise. Eventually, I looked into lash lift. I had tried Ellebana and YUMI lifts before finding Amber. Ellebana and YUMI say their lifts last 6-8 weeks and 8-12 weeks respectively. Well, not true! (At least not for my lashes) At the four week mark, both of them started losing their lift. I needed to find something more economical if I need a lift every 4-5 weeks! Well, I found Amber. So, from what I've read on the inter-web, the techniques of the aesthetician is the most important factor if a lift looks good or not, not the product. Amber patiently separates each strand of my lashes before putting on the perming/lifting solution. I'll admit the first time with her, my curls were more curled than I'd like (my eyes looked great at first, ie. wide open. But they grew out messier by week 3). I communicated with her that I'd like them less curled when I went back. She must've switched to a different sized pad. And the curls turned out perfect every time after that. Lash lift is such a time saver. No more heating up a curler, as well as trying to get those corner lashes in the morning, and then only to lose the curls by mid-day. This place is not my usual go to but I couldn't find anyone that was available the next day so I decided to give this place a try. The lady who did my lashes was really nice. It didn't look that bad but the quality was not that good for a full volume set. The session started at 3:25 and ended at 4:40. Out of all the experience I have ever had, a full set took about 2 hours. I know I had sparse lashes but this session was super fast. After the session, I checked in the car and noticed that there weren't any fans on some of my natural lashes. I went home and the lashes were a bit irritating and I had to take it off. The fans that she put on me were stuck on three or more lashes and it was painful which meant that she really didn't isolate either. For 180$ I expected more. I've been to other places that charged way less and the quality of the work was amazing. I do not recommend this place. read more

We had to reschedule my appointment from last Tuesday to yesterday (July 23rd), but that was fine since I had another appointment that would have made me late (which i didn't know until I was at my appointment!). The place was easy to find and there was plenty of parking since it was about 4pm. My appointment was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. but I decided to go in at 4:15 p.m. in case they needed me to fill out paperwork or give me a brief explanation of what they would be doing. I didn't catch the employee's name, but she greeted me right away when I walked in and said she would be with me in a moment. She was helping another client with her lashes and they were just about done. Before the woman walked out, she expressed how much she loved her lashes and she asked a few questions in regards to taking care of them when she got home. She was given instructions and she left with a smile on her face. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed after she had left. I filled out a short agreement form and then she helped me pick out what type of extensions I wanted. I told her I wanted something natural and not too long. Just something that looked full. She knew exactly what I wanted and we started right away. We talked for a bit and I fell asleep a couple of times and twitched here and there (SORRY!), but overall, I felt relaxed, comfortable and anxious. She got my extensions on in about an hour, which I didn't expect. I thought I was going to be there longer than that! After she finished, she explained what I needed to do in regards to taking care of my lashes and we made a refill appointment in two weeks. I couldn't have been happier with my results! I was pretty nervous at first because it was my first time getting extensions, but I'm glad I went to ILash Factory. I will probably go back for routine refills every 3-4 weeks or whenever I need them done. =) read more

I was really excited to get my lashes done here because of the reviews. I went to their website and they had a special for $60 Mink Lashes so I took advantage of that offer. I think what they may have meant is that the $60 offer is for training as the tech that did my lashes was clearly inexperienced. My email reservation says that Amber worked on my lashes. I wasn't able to confirm that as I wasn't greeted or introduced to my tech (light skinned lady with blonde hair in a bun). It took her forever do do my lashes and when i finally looked at them when she was done - they looked horrible. It's been three days since I got my lashes done and over half of them have fallen out. I went ahead and called to make an appointment, and at first I was a little disappointed since the "Groupon deal" had to be with a different lash technician. I ended up booking the appointment at full price since I don't have time until late next week, and they honored the Groupon pricing (full set with one fill). Talk about awesome customer service that makes you want to return! BY THE WAY ... do not buy the Groupon! Call or make your appointment, and they will honor the Groupon pricing and all, and the money goes directly to House of Lashes instead of it all going to Groupon. For my first time, the experience was awesome. I didn't know what to expect. Joelle ended up doing my lashes, but Tiki (the mother) helped out - I have a gap in my lashes, and she covered it up. On my way to the new appointment time early in the morning, she called stating I am a repeat client from 2 years ago and can't use the Groupon deal as it's for new clients only. First of all, when I purchased the Groupon, I read all the fine print carefully and there's no where stated for new clients only; and secondly, Amber has over 4 weeks of time to check my name on their system to make sure I am "eligible" to use the Groupon deal. The curtains close the windows and you can't even see in. It's in a little plaza that I don't even know what else was connected to it. I got my lashes done by Tiki. She's sugar and spice and everything nice but the job on my lashes were so bad. I did have a little trouble with one eye that kept watering up but overall, nothing was good about it. I went to a different place to get my lashes removed 4 days later and the girl just seemed so confused as to why my lashes were done the way they were. I had pieces on my outer corners hanging down and random pieces in the inner corners that just did not blend. The lashes were so uncomfortable. You can check the pictures for more detail.
