I was very skeptical of getting extensions because did all the scary videos of people with bloodshot eyes... also I wear glasses on a daily basis and was worried the lashes would touch my glasses... My friend recommended me to try cause she said it was great... so I did. I was nervous but May was kind and reassuring. She placed some pad stuff under my eyes which felt a little uncomfortable but it wasn't painful or anything. After an hour or so she was done and said I can open my eyes/ removed the lads. I was so nervous that my eyes would have discomfort.... But I opened my eyes and it felt lit like did any day I wake up I couldn't feel the lashes at all and my eyes are normal, not blood shot or anything. Looked in the mirror and can't believe I actually have lashes now!! I used the "classic" set cause I wanted more of a natural look since I literally usually have no lashes (very short and light). Located at the heart of Bellevue, you can get your lashes done and show them off at the Bellevue Square mall after! The studio itself is clean, small but cozy, cute with plenty of space for you to take selfies for the gram to show off the gorgeous lashes! (There's two big mirrors on the side for you to use to take pictures!) May, who owns the lash studio, is very experienced with lash extensions! As someone who has never gotten their lashes done before, she rocked it out of the ballpark with the lashes. I have monolids and I feel like it's usually difficult to work with but she knows what she is doing when it comes to Asian eyes and monolids She patiently went in depth with the types of lashes (without you even asking) to ensure that I knew what YY, volume, hybrid and what the types of curls are. I appreciate that she's knowledgeable in what she is doing and is able to explain what things are so that I could understand better I was quite at ease while she did my lashes, she directed me to keep my eyes closed throughout the whole process. From taping the lower lashes down, applying the lashes, to taking the tape off and brushing the lashes after, she would tell me to keep my eyes closed to prevent any eye jabbing or stinging at the eyes. She would also check if there was any discomfort or when you flinch, followed up with a mini fan to fan the eyes if stinging or discomfort were to occur. overall, I am incredibly satisfied with my service! She is an excellent lash tech to go to if you're a first timer and have no experience with how the process of lash extensions work! I went into May's studio for the first time today and am SO happy I did! I got a wet lash set with a doll eye shape from May and she did an amazing job. I'm pretty picky about my lashes, but she made sure to ask plenty of questions to ensure they are exactly how I wanted them. I could tell she was very skilled too because despite being super diligent with her work, she's also very quick. I usually have to spent over 2 hours at a lash appointment, but May got me in and out in just over an hour. Her prices are reasonably priced (offers a rewards program for her loyal clients!) and does a phenomenal job. I've been seeing May for ~4 months, have done hybrid and volume sets, and I continuously receive compliments from friends & strangers! The one thing that sets May apart from other eyelash specialists I've worked with is that May genuinely cares about the integrity & health of my (and other clients') natural lashes. I've had lash extensions for numerous years, but have never been told that I have thin lashes, which lash extensions can weaken them over time. She recommended applying lash serum (totally safe & compatible with lash extensions/glue; I use RevitaLash) to prevent further thinning/breakage so she can comfortably refill my lashes. I've been using lash serum for ~2 months and we are both pleasantly surprised at the thickness AND length of my natural lashes. As a result, extensions hold onto my natural lashes longer and more lashes can be applied for a fluffier look.
