Let's start that owner have no idea about remodeling process and everything what involve that . They made a deposit for materials, and after cabinets was installed they start coming up with all kinds of excuses just do not make a payment. But apparently they were posting the pictures of the job stating it's "completed" . After weeks of waiting for payment we informed them that we are putting lean on the property and taking them to court for non payment , mean time we got in touch with home owner and informed them about entire situation. Apparently, and we were not surprised, home owner had no idea that there is any "issue" with the work and they confirmed that project was completed long time ago and they paid everything for a project. And at the end they blocked us everywhere. For future clients- think 10 times before hiring them ,because you may ended up with lien on your property.

We hired the remodeling portion of their company to redo two bathrooms. We had high hopes for the…read moreprojects, but unfortunately, we did not have the best experience working with this company. One of the issues we had was with their contractors for tile installation. The tiler initially installed a cracked tile. When we asked for it to be replaced, the tiler installed the tile from the wrong bathroom, so one tile looked different from the rest. When I pointed it out, he then pulled my husband aside and asked if we could just live with it. In the second bathroom, the tiler put the smallest tile cuts in the most visible places. When we asked the Project Manager to look into it, he said that the installer confessed he did not measure before beginning the project. Fortunately, the company fixed both situations, and while the outcome was sufficient, we were still concerned about the quality of their contractors. We had a good experience with the carpenters and electricians (although we found it was cheaper to hire our own electrician for some of the "extras" we wanted). The plumber was also friendly. However, on the first night the plumber installed the toilet, water came through our kitchen ceiling due to improper installation. Since it was late on Labor Day and we needed to stop the water promptly, we called an after-hours plumber to mitigate the damage rather than try to reach our Project Manager. We were disappointed when the company did not reimburse us the full amount for the after-hours plumber because we did not call the company's emergency line first. We were not aware the company offered an after-hours line. It was unfortunate that we were not given this information in advance. We recognize they were not obligated to reimburse us, and we do appreciate them paying for some of the fee, but it still left us with an out-of-pocket bill to remediate work done by their plumber, which was not ideal. Hopefully, the company is now letting new clients know about this number in advance before beginning remodels to avoid our issue. Ultimately, NC Water Heaters and Remodelling was on the more expensive end of the companies that we interviewed, so we were hoping for a less frustrating experience. We did, however, have a good experience working with our Project manager, the carpenters, and the electrician. The cabinet and granite company they contracted with also did superior work, so that was nice.
