He took the request as talking face-to-face as a threat. I saw the fact that he didn't want to talk to a customer face-to-face as a bigger issue any original complaint. He believed that I was upset so he felt necessary to contact my mother to, in his words "bridge the gap". Here is another issue that was bigger than the original. If a customer and a business has an issue, the customer's family members shouldn't be a part of it. Today I came in to talk to Jerome to voice my complaints and instead of listening to the customer, he tried to justify his actions. Instead of hearing me out, he attempted to downplay my concerns by cutting me off mid statement. I tried to remind him a few times that I have a complaint as a customer Jerome interrupts with justifications to 1/2 statements . I admittedly interrupted him when I wasn't being heard. He injected that he suspects its a race issue. I don't see this as a race issue. I have a customer complaint issue that turned into three and I'm still not being heard. I tapped on the table to emphasize a point and seemingly he saw that as a threat or intimidation so he hit the table extremely hard a few times seemingly out of fear or anger. So after 15 minutes of me not giving into his narrative, Jerome showered frustrating love upon me as a Christian brother. And then he kicked me out. I told him that he wasn't Christlike. He may be a Christian, but not Christlike. I gave Jerome an opportunity of earn a loyal customer and he failed miserably. The rest of your crew is awesome. I can say that with no equivocation. I especially like to single out Kevin. His customer service instinct are awesome. If he teaches as well as he performs, he should lead a customer serviceworkshop at Christian Brothers. Twice I have taken my car to these guys to repair. Within absolute transparency encompassing their costs, they worked with me on the costs to my family, both reducing my stress abut finances, and streamlining the process of my vehicle's repair time. In between visits to this business I did take my car to a local Chevrolet dealership for minor work to be performed and both times the prices I ended up paying to said dealership exponentially overshadowed those later quoted to me by Autocheck #3. As well, they build and maintain personal relationships with their customer base yielding very open, bilateral communication, making the experience of major repairs being done to your car, far less stressful and concerning. Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!
