A great example...My last project was for a resale condo that totally needed to be done and I was 1000 miles away. I trusted his taste to let him make the selections that would blend with my existing bathroom tile. I suggested a laminate all over but the unlevel condo cost was moving out of my budget and then hit with the news the kitchen tile needed to be replaced too. Kenny stepped up and suggested switching to a vinyl plank that can go into the kitchen, dining and living room cost effectively. Then switch to carpet for the bedrooms to avoid cost of leveling that area. He was so patient and sincerely wanted to help me through this process and saved me $1000. People like this are hard to find. Now for quality of work it is excellent for all my projects! I fussed about all the leveling and he told me it is very important; it needs to be done. I take exception to The Carpet Specialist who failed to respond to numerous inquiries. What does that say if you hire them and they need to come back? Will they "ghost you?"

The address listed for this business is an apartment which I believe is illegal to run a business from a residence. I'm assuming they are dodging tax by not providing me a receipt. I really need this receipt as we sold our home and need to provide to the new buyer. I have a couple of stars because they did a pretty good job. I will report them to the BBB for not providing an invoice as well as running a business from a residence. Also I thought they charged a bit high for the amount of work that they did. I would definitely get an estimate and shop around before using them in the future, especially if you need warranty or an invoice.

The carpet is a commodity but John gave very honest pricing. What really matters are the installers. If you carefully review the other stores you see their contracted installers are who disappoint. Not at Lone Star. John's installers have been with him for 15 years so they are really good. The installers are who really matter on your finished product. I also needed float and his crew was great. They got the entire upstairs done in a day. They move all your furniture and move it back at no extra cost. Which is really great!

However, I did not receive any follow-up. In June, I noticed that a small, fingernail-sized piece of the vinyl tile had come off. The area appeared to have been repaired previously, but it had come off again over time. I visited the store in person on July 11 and spoke with Rudolph again to request a repair. Unfortunately, I still have not received any call or follow-up regarding the repair. I understand that issues can sometimes occur after installation, but I am very disappointed with the lack of follow-up and customer service. I hope EZ Floor will improve its post-installation service and communication with customers.

They were: a doorway that had pet damage and had been pulled up, and my upstairs catwalk hallway that needed some carpet bulges stretched out. Jairo was easy to get in touch with and arrived early for the repairs. He showed a lot of care in his work and he made sure I was satisfied with the repair before packing up for the day. Both carpet repaired areas look brand new now and match my other carpet areas again.
