They even took care of coordinating with the city for the necessary permits. We especially appreciated the way the foreman, Gio included us in the process and consulted with us regularly about important details of the project. He and his co-worker Marco were very clean, efficient, and quality minded. Since footings were required, they were very careful to remove and replace bricks on our patio, so that the new bricks blended in nicely with the existing bricks.

Our design goal was to work with the natural draininage and lay of the land -- and Pete did not disappoint. His Bobcat professional [Paul] quickly turned Pete's vision into reality. His forms crew [Tony, Justin and Dean] had the experience and stamina to complete the pre-pour requirements on schedule and showed up at sunrise the next day, ahead of the three cement trucks to finish the job by sunset. Back to Eden Landscapes wasn't the cheapest bid we recieved, but their seamlessly-coordinated teamwork and the quality of the finished job allowed us to maintain our "work/shed" construction schedule. Not a good experience. This was an over $10k job, I expected better…read more After quote and down payment, process was slow. Granted we had to deal with heavy rainfall which caused delays. Time management was poor, he would tell us he was coming at 8am, show up at 11am. We had to keep calling him, to find out when he was coming. He continued to ask for payments but we pushed back on contract completion items. Now, 6 months after completion, I have had several leaks where fittings were not connected properly. I won't call him to repair because I don't feel he was reliable.

I've hired different…read morelandscapers and contractors over the years and this is by far the most unprofessional and overall worst experience with one. Everything seemed fine once it was finally finished but they were paid that day so he didn't give me the time of day to solve the install issues after payment that weren't realized until a couple days later. Issues explained below... Pros: - They eventually finished Cons: - Over a 3 week span, they came a total of 2 full days and 2 half days. Always on weekends or afternoons. I've never had a landscaper so lax about finishing a job once it was started. I had to constantly ask when they would return to finish the job and plan my schedule accordingly. Every time I've hired contractors or landscapers they start a job and continue working on it until finished. Not here, they treat you like a side gig. - They installed sod but did not plan the irrigation well and not enough sprinkler heads. Some areas had plenty of coverage so they get swampy while others barely get any water at all and started dying after just a couple days. I had to water those areas with the hose until I got an actual professional to come handle it. Some edge areas were too far gone until the real landscaper came and fixed the sprinklers. - Several sprinkler heads were not configured properly and they didn't give me the adjustment key (which come free with all sprinkler heads) and he brushed me off after I explained that. So I had to order it on Amazon and do it myself AFTER I asked him to fix it (he blamed the hot weather). Sure enough those areas are fine now, had nothing to do with hot weather, it's just that he already got paid and didn't want to fix the errors. - They we're going to leave an entire planter area without water after ripping out the old irrigation and failed to hook it up. I had to intervene and when I did they forgot where the cut pipe was buried because they just covered it up with dirt. Ended up having to trench it out to find it. If I had never said anything they would have just ignored it and that planter would have been left without drip. - Multiple drip line holes were made but no emitters so there was flooding under the mulch hidden for days until I noticed the flooding coming to the surface. Luckily I had some spare emitters to fill in the holes they made. I found these leaks after he blew me off already about the bad sprinkler coverage so I didn't even bother asking them to take care of it. - We had to hide our recycling bin because they threw trash and food garbage in it after the first visit. - They left a bucket of chicken bones on my back patio near their pipes n stuff. Luckily I stopped my dog from getting in it but there were ants all over it before I found it. We left the trash can out for them to use but instead left food waste out for a week in the working area. (Because they didn't return for a week after that). If I didn't go out and hand water, fix the sprayers, intervene about the cut drip line, and fix the drip leaks I would have a half swamp and half dead yard because of the poor job they did. I only went with a different landscaper because my usual guy was booked out for weeks. I should have just waited for him (an actual professional) instead of hiring this guy trying to do some yard work on the side (poorly).
