Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

One thing I would ask for safety and sanitation purposes is that gloves and washing your hands be used or done always when handling hardware that is going straight into the patient's mouth. I seen someone blow their nose and did not wash their hands. Even though they put the gloves on, they touched them with their dirty hands. There is also a staff member who touches the hardware without gloves. This incident occurred twice. I've seen all, but this one staff member, change their gloves often. This is not for staff reprimand or bad review, just a reminder that clients are observant. Besides, the mentioned, you have great staff and doctors in this place who care for their patients. The staff--both front desk and clinical--are professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly. Communication is clear, and everything is handled smoothly from check-in to treatment. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and well-equipped. The setup is thoughtful, with TVs positioned in front of you while seated and even one above when you're lying down, which makes visits more comfortable. Location is also convenient, right across Serramonte Center, with its own parking lot--easy access every time. I've stayed with them even after becoming out-of-network due to a change in insurance. He's quick about getting to the point and tailored the treatment to what you need. He excepts Delta Dental PPO only so please make sure that you have appropriate coverage if you want to see him. He will walk you through the breakdown of the treatment plan and what's included. Plus, he's pretty old school so you'll have to do your part in digitizing your own receipts and what you signed up for. My plan broke down to $65/ month over two years and this includes free retainer after I'm out of braces. Dr. Quock is pretty straightforward when it comes to the do's and don'ts regarding your ortho treatment. If you got vacation or big trip coming up, please let him know and he will be more than happy to adjust accordingly. I often tell him ahead of time whenever I have a trip coming up and often tell him "please don't hurt me! I'm going away and there is delicious food I am going to eat!" He's often more than happy to help me out. Plus, if you ever broke a bracket or needed adjustments in between appointments, you can simply call and he always will try to squeeze you in. But do be warn that lost bracket means additional charge so please never lost the bracket you broke! Overall, it's not a bad ortho place for the price point. However, the decor is vintage but if you are into that, then you'll like it!

Update: Dr Quocks office came through and provided the information to my dentist…read more Dr Quock is knowledgeable and performed and adequate evaluation of my mouth and bite nearly a year ago. He then stated that he'd have it sent to my regular dentist so that his recommendations could be evaluated and followed. UNFORTUNATLY, this never happened, whether because of staff fumbling the ball or Dr Quock not providing the information to staff. I've made repeated requests to no avail and now he's retiring and I'm told that I'm "on a list" for follow up even though there is no guarantee that the practice will even exist past this month. HORRIBLE FOLLOW THROUGH and it's a shame that this will follow Dr. Quock's good name into retirement. If this is resolved I will edit this review, otherwise it stands as a true record.
