It wasn't too busy and that was ok after a long day of work! Our waitress was amazing and attentive to us and not overbearing. She was very accommodating with my order as I wanted loaded mashed potatoes. She took care of us! For food, I had the "best of both worlds" dinner which included a blackened catfish and a fried catfish. 10/10!!! Both filets were hot, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. I had a good time, I went out solo and ordered some lamb chops to go with dirty rice and broccoli. I did not get a photo of them but there was a lot of fat on the lamb chops, so they should have been cleaned better. They were tinder and the dirt rice with turkey was good as I'm a non pork eater. While there, I had 3 lemon drops and some chicken wings. The wings were good, the first lemon drop was weak. With the next 2 I asked her to pour a double which made it $18 a drink. The issue is asking for a double made it taste the way it's supposed to taste. I highly doubt it was actually a double. My only other complaint is the lack of bar seating. There is no seats around the bar so for someone solo and new to the city who is trying to get out and mingle, meet people, this place would not be a go to. Bar seating is so communal and so I think they dropped the ball on that concept. Other than that, if I was on date night or if I had friends accompanying me, it would have made the experience better. A coworker introduced us to this place to have a holiday lunch and what an amazing place for food. The portions were huge. One person got lamb chops and it came with SIX "lollipop" style chops. I had the best of both worlds catfish with one fried and one blackened. Both tasted amazing. We also all got the banana pudding that was heaven. Why the star deducted? Three reasons. One they only had water, coke, and lemonade. They were out of diet and anything else. Two the music and lights were way too much for a noon meal. It's clearly a night club type place later on and having the music so loud and the strobe lights on at lunch is just distracting to try to talk with the table. Lastly, their daily specials start at 7pm. That is very late for even dinner for most people. Two people were excited to try the oxtail they only have on Friday and Saturday, but were told they only have it after 7pm which is odd. The food is what matters though and it is a STAR. Loved the food. I just wish the other things weren't a part of it or it would be a run don't walk to this place. read more

The vibe was nice and would try again.. Gator bites were good; my surf & turf meal was good but it was slightly over cooked and looked dry compared to the same dish that was delivered to our table. The meals came out at all different times. Understood to some extent since there were 9 of us. But the plates that were the latest were the fried fish meals/sandwiches. We were told that they had to change the grease but if that was the case, why was one of the plates of fish cold? They did fix the issue but everyone else had pretty much finished their meals. The one other suggestion is the lemon drop mixer, not sure if home made or its something that's stock but it didn't have a good taste. read more

The music is trendy and a tad loud but it was Friday night after 8pm so it was appropriate. I came here as a last minute resort, I needed to eat somewhere on my break from work and this came up as a option. Luckily, I made it barely in time for Johnnie and Princess to take my order. They were so accommodating and very polite. Johnnie (the cook) brought out my food & Princess (the server) kept me occupied until my order came out. This bar has a cover charge of 10-20 dollars just to enter. I was not asked for identification nor was I checked for weapons at the door. They only cared about the 10 dollar cover charge. This is a nice place to come eat, have a drink and listen to music. I came in on a Wednesday night for just that. The place is very clean and inviting. The food was served perfectly. The catfish was crispy and seasoned well. The turkey dirty rice was also pretty good, but I, personally, prefer some chopped veggies in my dirty rice so I probably won't order again. The gravy that was served alongside the dirty rice was excellent and tasted like it was made from scratch. The cheese grits stole show! Perfectly buttered and cheesy! I will be getting those again. I didn't have a drink, but I will be trying some of their specialty cocktails next time. For two dinners, our bill was less than $40 and we left full. read more

Not only is the food ALWAYS hot, fresh, well-seasoned and flavorful, but prices are great for seafood and the portion prices. In the past year, I've had the blackened salmon, Spanish rice, broccoli, seasonal veggies, blackened catfish, waffle fries, calamari, shrimp & grits and fried catfish --NEVER disappointed! They also have a variety of chicken, pork, etc. which friends have said is delish (I'm a pescatarian, however.) I've dined in one time and it was the same level of deliciousness and courteous wait staff. I loved the food so much that when I had a house warming last fall, Kulture catered! (Note: they make Mac and cheese that is AMAZING, but it's special order and not on the normal menu.) The biggest perk, for me working late, is that they're open late night! If you had told me this morning that I would be each lunch in a cool spot while watching a Meghan the Stallion video, I would have said that you were lying. This was a cool way to spend my lunch and get a club/lounge atmosphere, without the full club experience. This place is a diamond in the rough. It has a cool, hip vibe. In the afternoon it is open for lunch and at night it is more of a lounge/bar/club. The place has a large dining area, a free private lot and two full bars. You can dine in or order ahead and get it to go. I chose to dine in. The lounge has banging hip hop music playing throughout the place, with accompanying video on tv and movie screens. They have a limited menu filled with awesome selections such as chicken wings, burgers, catfish and lamb chops. Looking at the menu, I knew I could not go wrong, so I went with the deep fried baby back ribs with waffle fries. It was delicious. Well seasoned and a very unique taste. The fries were equally as good. In fact, my meal was so good that I ordered a wing sampler to go to take home for dinner. This is a nice duck off spot with some good food. The service is top notch. The bartender/server was very friendly. At the end of my meal, I though I knew her and that we went to school together. I went here Friday with some friends to have a good time. we got in a light skinned, short waitress was being unprofessional. Problem one was we had already paid and she had told us food wasn't being served and when this was happening she was laughing. Problem two was we had order our drinks and then told us they closed at one instead of two so we only had 10 minutes left and we wanted our money back since we really didn't have time to have our drinks or hookah She said when she put the drinks on the table ain't no getting our money back. We looked at the menu and got so excited because everything looked phenomenal LOL. I loved the chicken wings, teriyaki was my Fave!! I also ordered the blackened tilapia, cheesy grits, and fries. I just want to start off by saying the food here is literally BOMB! I've had the fried ribs multiple times and they never disappoint. This was the first time I was with a larger group so we didn't reseed multiple items like the hot honey wings and the lamb chops with a side of steam veggies and sweet potato fries. Whhhhew! I got there probably around 9pm and the parking lot immediately in front of the bar/lounge was full so we had to park across the street in the bank lot which was after hours so no fear of being towed or ticketed. Upon arrival there were plenty of tables available both at the bar and near the dance floor. The ambiance is pretty chill here but you're not out of place if you're dressed up! Which I love a versatile spot!!! The bartenders on the platform bar were unfriendly as hell (I didn't catch any names but they had nasty attitudes even though my entire family drank and tipped well) we were seated nearly 45-50 minutes before we had to start tapping any and every server we saw to ask who would be serving our table. Finally a server helped us out of pity (more than an hour of being seated) we were also told by the mean bartenders that there were no hookah hose left but we constantly saw new hookah's being taken to other tables. The server that chose to help us was able to quickly put her hands on a hookah for us! (Which further proved the other bartenders were lying as to not help) Had service been better this night I would have given 5 stars. Due to stinky attitude bar tenders and servers not assisting for more than an hour, I'm giving 3 stars. The DJ WAS AMAZING AND SO WAS THE FOOD AND company . Ordered lamb chops to go and this time I got the 4 piece. I got loaded mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies as my sides. The potatoes were good and at first glance I thought there was bacon in it but thankfully it was just the red skin from the potatoes. The veggies were carrots squash zucchini broccoli and red bell pepper. They were sitting in a lot of juice. I'm thankful that these were packaged separately but still in the same box. The lamb chops were huge and seemed to have improved in flavor! They were delish and the sauce was still good (like a spicy A1). I chose them over the food truck down the street because they were $8 cheaper and had the sides I want. However I don't care for the pickup service. Again I went in and the bar tender was on her phone in the bar. I even positioned myself in front of her so that she may notice me but still nothing. I finally decided to tell her that I'm picking up an order. She handed me my bag which was right in front of me under the bar. I ordered on grub hub and they didn't update the tracking to let me know my food was ready so I called to be sure before going inside but was put on hold for a minute all while being transferred to another person and she was talking to someone else in the bar so I wasn't sure who she was talking to. read more

We sat at a table and our server (didn't get her name) came to us pretty quickly. She was super nice and friendly, got exactly what we needed, and we liked her vibe the whole time. On a Thursday night, there was a decent amount of people there, but I can imagine what it would be like on the weekend. They played a lot of hip hop... the kind that I really like, and there are several large screens showing the music videos. The bar area is pretty nice with the lights as well. I don't know... this whole place was such a trip and we were not expecting it all, but obviously in a good way. We ordered some calamari, wings, and a few drinks. I went here this weekend, paid 10 dollars to get in, when getting sat waiter informed us that there was no food. Issue #1, they should have told us that before we paid. We came to drink so we were fine with that. About 10 minutes from 1 am we order a second round of drinks, when bringing the drinks our waiter informed us that they closed at 1 am. Issue #2, why would the waiter wait till after we order 2nd round of drinks to tell us the restaurant closes in 5 minutes. I informed the waiter that I don't feel comfortable drinking since y'all close in 5 minutes, at this point she gets irritable and shuts down any refunds. The issue came with the amount of our OIL that they were swimming in. So much that I thought it was a sauce at first until I put a spoon of it in my mouth and had to wipe my tongue off.
