Even though I was still very nervous, I started bringing my family members in one by one before scheduling my own appointment. I needed to hear their feedback first! Thankfully, they all had nothing but great things to say. Today was finally my appointment, and for the first time in seven years, I truly felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. Denise at the front desk greeted me warmly and made me feel seen right away. She was incredibly sweet and made me feel like I had been an established patient for years. Maura brought me back to the room and was just as kind and welcoming. Then I saw Sherilyn, the hygienist, and for the first time in many years, the experience didn't feel scary. Dr. Graham was the first dentist that I completely trusted when it came to the removal of my wisdom teeth. It was getting really bad as I would get these really bad reactions when I didn't brush properly or floss properly. I think my wisdom teeth were the problem. Removed the bad teeth and no more problems! Also, I've had to change my habits under the guidance of his support team. More brushing, better flossing, water pick and just more awareness of what a clean mouth is supposed to feel like. I'm not embellishing here but this place has changed my health and life for the better. They were late for starters, 9 am appointment and we weren't in the door until 9:10. We weren't the only patients waiting. Thus none of the stations were ready. They refused to find the remote so no distraction for my kid. When Alex showed up he had no patience and tried to force his way into her mouth. I know because when I said stop she pulled back). I had to physically grab his shoulder. No one like touches so I understood his irritation at that but my concern was with my kid. He states that if she can't handle this then he wouldn't be able to go forward with the procedure. I asked for a little more detail so I could talk my kid through the process and it turns out that he was about to perform a procedure that we hadn't confirm!ed The office had messed up the paperwork and put down the wrong thing for the wrong day and person. I initially went in for a cavity filling, which later turned into a root canal per Jhiang's suggestion. I got referred to an endo to complete the root canal. Endo I got referred to was actually a general dentists, and could not perform my root canal. I was without any help from the receptionist who suggested and drafted my referral, and forced to find an endo on my own to finish the root canal that was already started!! Again -- i went in for a filling!! It took weeks and I was left in great pain. Now here I am six months later ready to purchase my crown and I've been informed that dr.Jhiang has "dismissed" me as a patient since January 2023. If that was the case, why was I getting texts that I was due for a cleaning? Keep in mind I've had no prior issues with this office except for the receptionist, Berta, who was rude and unhelpful with the referral process. She not only gave me a referral to a location that could not even operate on me, but did not aid in finding any other options. She was extremely rude despite me being in deep pain, and I had to find my own provider to finish the job this location couldn't complete. I was not given an explanation for my dismissal except that I missed two appointments -- I was unaware of this "policy" and I think if this office is going to make patients lose their dental providers, a warning would be nice!! AsDr. Jhiang has been nothing but exceptional, his receptionist Berta makes simple processes difficult, is extremely unhelpful and it's clear her biases have now resulted in me being dismissed by my dentist of three years -- still without my root canal treatment complete!! Wow!! If this is how Dr. jhiang's practice will treat long term patients, as even I've brought my mother to this location to receive cosmetic work done out of pocket! The lack of hospitality, communication and flexibility is ridiculous here. Glad to be gone. At least their receptionists are no longer pocketing cash payments like was occurring in 2021.
