Incredibly rude, condescending and judgmental staff. Take your fur babies anywhere else.

It was difficult to find a veterinarian and office our family clicked with after our beloved vet retired. The reasons I trust Dr. Botsford and staff with my wonderful animals are #1. When my animals have an actual medical problem, Woodland fits them in. They are compassionate and quick. It's important to me that my animals are seen by the same vet that has their history when they need medical attention as is inevitable. Not only well visits and vaccinations. #2 Dr. Botsford and staff are gentle with my animals and my animals are not afraid after appointments. I have been to different vets in the interim between and I know my babies! They trust Dr. Botsford and staff. #3 Woodland and Dr. Botsford are unpretentious. My cat peed himself in the crate before an appointment. We tried to clean him up. Without hesitation Dr. Botsford picked up my cat and just took care of him! . We live on a farm and sometimes my animals may not be perfectly groomed. I feel no judgement, Only concern for the issue at hand. The office is very clean, but not fancy. The prices are reasonable and Dr. Botsford tells u options, recommending the most sensible. #4. I just opened up their Christmas card and it's SO CUTE! 6 dogs looking up at the camera at the same time, with a little kitten in the background. Dogs look smart and like they are loved . Background setting is behind the office desk. No costumes or poses. UNPRETENTIOUS! When we look for a Doctor to take care of our animal children, we don't need pictures with Santa or all that fluff! Our family needs a Doctor with old school values. A Doctor that really cares about animals. A Doctor who will see them when they're sick. I'm so grateful to have settled on Woodland Animal Hospital to care for our animals. I don't mind passing 10 other veterinarians on the way there! I'm very particular with the care of my animals. They can be rascals! Lord knows we need Dr. Botsford!

The cats are brothers and we know that they'll need more care as they get older, so we decided to give this place a try. The receptionist was super nice and the doctor was very knowledgable and suggested a helpful course of treatment. She didn't immediately try to scare us into spending $500 on a bunch of lab work. The visit cost us less than any veterinary office we've tried in Brighton or Howell. Our kitty is already walking better on his sore paw.

The staff are all wonderful, attentive and caring. I have brought several cats here in the last decade and have received nothing but stellar care. I had an elderly cat with kidney failure who needed special food that I was able to purchase at the car hospital and bring him in for care. When it finally came time to have my final moments with the cat I grew up with they were kind, compassionate and understanding in a time that was so incredibly difficult. Not soon after the doctor who had cared for our kitty sent us a handwritten and personalized card giving their condolences. I really can't say enough good things about this business. Thank you for all you do!

I gave them a call and they said to bring her in right away. We got there and there were a few other emergencies they were dealing woth. I waited about a half hour and that was ok because Lola was in no major pain at that time. She was bleeding, but when your nail is ripped off, what do you expect? My one complaint was that they seemed almost too lax that Lola was getting blood all over. I was told not to worry that they would clean it up. We went back to the room, then vet came in right away and took and look, then shared the plan. They took her in back and 10 minutes later she came out woth her paw all cleaned and wrapped. I felt very happy with how clear the vet was in regards to the treatment and her care she was receiving. I could hear the staff in the back talking to her and comforting her as they gave care. They didn't try to get me to run extra tests or provide extra services so when it was time to checkout, the cost was half the price of the last time this happened and we took her to a different ER vet. It was such a relief as these times are tough. I was very happy with this place and will likely Make it our regular vet! Thank you!

My puppy at the time became very lethargic, throwing up constantly and not herself. I was in full panic mode and our vet couldn't get her in. I started calling emergency vets in the area and the only one that said to bring her in was VCS. I drove the 20 minutes there crying and scared for my girl for the staff - from the doctors down to the receptionist- to treat us with the utmost respect and care. They tested my girl for parvo and unfortunately she came back positive. Sheer panic And terror set in as I did not want to lose my puppy (I mean no one wants to lose their loved ones). They took her in immediately, explained cost UP FRONT so we weren't sticker shocked and by the grace of god(and the amazing staff ) our girl pulled through. Fast forward to today, Athena presented with vomiting, uncontrollable shaking and lethargic . Called our vet and she was out on a medical emergency so I called VCS . They had no actual open appointments available today but with her condition the doctor was able to squeeze her in during "down time" in between appointments. For a place that's already booked and I'm sure they are over worked too boot- they didn't even hesitate . X-rays and blood work done, exceptional care per usual and a few minor medical issues with Athena and she was home by 5 pm. I cannot thank this clinic enough- you all are outstanding from the receptionist who was so kind on the phone and calming me down to the doctor calling as soon as she could to thoroughly explain all the testing and results to me and for the tech that walked Athena and helped us to the car . Thank you all, I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Athena gives you all two paws up and says (in the best way) she hopes to not see anyone in an emergency situation again! Thank you for saving our girl, twice . The Maresca Family

I called to request a refill for the prescription that was given to clear it up, explaining I am currently on disability with limited income and could not afford the inflated cost of a Dr. visit at this time. They refused, and advised I would need to bring him back in with charges starting at $75 for an initial exam.
