Also i had to have a tooth extracted and bone graphing to prepare for dental implants. They nade me pay in full at the time of service.. received payment frim my unsurance provider and then sent my invoice to collections. I called and got directed to tbeir billing dept. but could never get a call back. So after what seemed to be a very ling time for my mouth to heal, i started shopping around for implants. I went to two different implant dentusts and both told me that the bone graphing was not done deep enough....all that pain, missed work, lost money...and they did an inadequate job...What really chaps my hide, is the absolute arrogance and largwr than life ego of the oral sergeon who did the work. She took every opportunity, to remind me that she was not a dentist, but that she was a Doctor. . . An Oral Surgeon...over and over again, as if it implied the ability to also walk in water or something - just to end up with some half ***** work done. It was a bad experience. I keep my mouth fairly clean and haven't had mouth pain for 4 years. 2 weeks ago one of my fillings fell out. It's not painful, but the edges are sharp against my tongue. I called Oasis up and made an appointment to fix my filling. They already have my records, and maybe I'd get back into the habit of regular cleanings. They saw me 2 days after my filling fell out. Awesome. I go to my appointment. They take xrays and ask me questions about the severity of my missing filling. I've got no pain, it just needs to be replaced. They say they don't have time to fix it today and that I need another appointment. Apparently it'll take an hour. I was hoping to get it done, but no biggie. They can see me in a week. I take time off work to get my filling replaced. On my way out of my neighborhood they call and tell me they're pushing me back. Ok. Things happen. I get seated in a room 15 minutes after my appointment. Now my blood pressure is 2 points too high. They use one of those cheap electronic BP cuffs. I'm sitting in this dentist chair hoping my BP drops so I can get this work done that I tried to schedule a week and a half ago. They take my blood pressure 2 more times with the cheap cuff, tell me a few things about ADA regulations, and boot me out the door. I worked in healthcare. When a cheap BP cuff reads high, usually someone takes a manual pressure which is more accurate. I was 2 points high, probably at least partly caused by them delaying my appointment and now they won't treat me. If you didn't want me as a patient because I stopped routine cleanings 4 years ago, have the decency to tell me and not waste my time at 2 appointments. You could have told me last week that I should find a new dentist and I would have understood. Dr Galles may be an ok dentist but he is not an ok person.

I called with a dental emergency and Dr. Durnford could not get me in and referred me to another…read moredental clinic this did concern me as he had seen me for a similar problem in the past initially it seemed as though this office did not want to be bothered with emergencies but then it was explained to me by the office I was referred to that they were qualified to handle infections and could provide treatment in a faster manner because of the dentist qualifications. In reality Dr. Durnford was putting my safety and the elimination of my issue above all else.

The clinic is personally owned and ran by him and his wife. The facility is very clean and organized and they are always on time with their appointments. It is best to come early because they take their last appointment about 3p or so. I have no complaints about this place and have referred many people to come see him in the past. All satisfied customers! He used to do braces but I think it became overwhelming so now he doesn't do them anymore. I like his practice because he performs all the procedures and it's not a young dental hygienist that cleans your teeth under his name. He is quite a bit of a drive but well worth it. I don't know what we'll do if and when he retires or moves.

I told her absolutely not and asked if there were any adjustments that can be done (lower is rubbing a sore on my gum) she told me she would have to talk to her lab and was gone for 15 minutes. She returned with the office manager carrying what looked like an essay and by that time I was done with them. I asked them how much I owed them, not sure if they charged my insurance or just wanted to get rid of me but said I didnt owe anything. What happened to the medical professionals that were there to assist patients... not to make the most they could off of people?

I do not care about anything else. 120 dollar tooth brush they try and get me to buy every time claiming my tooth brush at home isn't good enough. I think the biggest slap in the face is keeping me in the chair with stuff in my mouth and on my face and making me sign a paper not knowing what it was then finding out after that it was additional charges that were not covered by insurance. I've never been to a dentist that makes you want to never come back.
