This was my first time attending howl-o-scream and it was a fun experience. It's a lot more laid back and more affordable than Hhn. We went through 4 of the 5 houses, rode a few coasters and went to a few shows. They don't have accurate or posted times for the houses which was not very helpful. They did have a food and drinks pass which we saw too late! Otherwise we would have gotten than. The scare actors through the houses and scare zones did a great job! I'll be keeping these things in mind for next year to make it more enjoyable for myself and the rest of my party. read more

I love Howl-O-Scream.. dare I say it can sometimes be better than Universal's Horror Nights? The lines are shorter for the houses and there are actually more scare zones. Yes the production has less of the big name movies of course but it's still amazing. Also, more affordable. The absolute BEST part though? THE SHOW!! Yes, singular.. honestly if you came here and didn't do any of the houses and only did one show, Monster Stomp is it! I've watched it for the past probably three years at least and I never get sick of it (we see it more than once a season lol) SO GOOD!! read more

Howl O Scream Orlando is SeaWorlds take on the Halloween event, the original Howl O Scream event is at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. This was my first year trying Seaworld's version, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed! There are 5 haunted houses open along with multiple scare zones, most of the major roller coasters are operating as well (with the exception of MANTA - they told me it doesn't operating during HOS because of how close it is to animals in the area that are sleeping at the time of the event). The houses and scare zones inside were very well done, there are a few Halloween themed shows you can watch inside and tons of themed merchandise and food/drinks. Try one of the blood bag cocktails - they're pretty good and strong! The hours are usually from 7 pm-12/1 AM. I would highly recommend buying a front line fear pass to skip big lines if you visit on a Friday or Saturday, or visit on a Sunday if you want to experience lower lines. I'll be honest...I really didn't have high expectations when we decided to buy tickets for this year and I have never gone before. HOWEVER I was blown away and had a blast. I did get tickets during there flash sale and it came to roughly $60 per person. Parking was around $37.xx for general parking. Though the houses are more "lower budget" in comparison to another popular Halloween destination by a theme park; I sure did get plenty of more scares! Plus AT MOST we waited 20 minutes in line for a house (most were walk right in) on a Saturday. Freaking awesome! I loved the theming and how interactive the scare actors were (super hilarious too!). This will now be considered a "Must - go" for following event years! read more

Howl-O-Scream is Orlando's best kept secret when it comes to Halloween events. It strikes the perfect blend of affordability and theme park level production value. This year they had four roller coasters and five haunted houses to visit. Due to the crowds being thinner than their competition, my party was able to ride three rides and visit four houses in the span of just four hours. I loved how interactive the scare actors were as well. After engaging with a creepy clown, she casually walked and talked with us throughout the entirety of the scare zone. This definitely isn't for everyone, and I appreciated that she asked whether she could walk with us before doing so. My one complaint about the event would be that the themes of the haunted houses did not change from last year to this year. While unimportant for first timers to the event, this was a bit of a letdown. Overall, however, I would still revisit next year - even if the theming stayed the same again. Howl-O-Scream is my favorite way to get my annual theme park fix and ring in "spooky season." If you're a fan of sour beers, I highly recommend trying the Lacto-Kooler! It tastes just like blue raspberry candy, without being too overpowering! read more

We did Howl-O-Scream both this year and last year. I love that this event has shorter lines as compared to HHN and they also let in small groups at a time versus a Congo line scenario so it makes for better scares and appreciating the atmosphere of the houses. The houses are pretty well done. My only gripe was they were the same as last year. It would have been cool to have it changed up a bit. The scare zones are really good! I definitely got jump scared multiple times! Overall, while this event may not have some of the franchises we are used to in horror, it still does a good job bringing the scares without spending all night in line. read more

Unbelievable show! Incredible choreography, singing & performances by all! Seaworld has pulled off another incredible Monster Stomp show!!! The performance of each person on that stage was flawless! we had the honor to watch 2 shows with 2 totally different leads, but both equally as great as each other! HUGE shoutout to all the dancers who kill it each time! even at the last show, 11pm, you wouldn't know they had been performing all night! They killed it! The worst Halloween of my life. I took my 12 year old daughter and her friend this evening. It started out great until my daughter's friend ran up to one of the actors and wanted her picture taken with him. He started yelling at her and told her "you can't scare me". I had my phone in my hand and took the picture 10/31 @ 9:29 and he got right up in my face in a threatening manner and told my he was going call security and have us kicked out. I am 70 years old. I very respectfully told him we just wanted a picture with him and the girls. We walked away and the next thing I knew a security person came over and talked to us. Thankfully the security gard was very understanding and professional. He told us we were fine and not to worry. Needless to say the evening was ruined because of this individual and we left. I hope this is all on CCTV. My daughter and I have had Gold passes to Sea world for the past 5 + years. Regrettably tomorrow I will cancel both. read more

First off my college student played for 4 anytime tickets yet in the back there were blackout days so we had to get out of a long line and go get it straightened out at the ticket counter. Mind you I called ahead when I read the back of the ticket even though the front said any day and I was assured there would not be a problem (lies). Then I paid for the add on that was $100 per person that was supposed to give unlimited visits to the haunted houses yet they treated them like the less expensive add on that limited the visit to once per house again (lies) and misinformation. The people at the entrances have no clue they are just told to hole punch all extreme add ons. Save your money buy the least expensive option read more

I had an enjoyable evening, but the houses are the same scare premise with either the performer hiding or using a panel to appear. I did enjoy the Jack the Ripper inspired show and the Lost Souls Hideaway. The scare zones were interesting to travel through, but was not scared in any of them. The lighting and fog does make it challenging to maneuver through at times. Glad we went, not sure if I'll go back. read more

Absolutely awful - juvenile - not scary at all & I'm typically jumpy. Only scary part was was the drug addict in the ladies room - *not part of the show folks. Very low budget - - 17$ sugary drinks -- 13$ cans of beer - 15$ soft pretzels -- haunted houses were flat out stupid - plastic tarps & bad actors. Police everywhere & the fact that they think that's necessary is a lil scary. Went on a Sunday & felt so bad for the folks that paid for vip /fast pass - no waits. Even the 4 rides that were open only had a 7 -10 min wait . This was probably the lamest Halloween event I've ever been to in decades. read more

As a local, I definitely recommend Howl-o-Scream as the best Halloween event in Orlando. The fact that it's smaller scale actually makes it better and more enjoyable- and scarier! The lines are shorter, the houses are big and take much longer to walk through, and are also not jam packed with people, the scare actors are more interactive, and the scare zones are more widespread. The Monster Stomp show was excellent! Definitely worth seeing. There were 5 houses this year and we were able to hit them all and had a great time. So much fun! read more

This was our first time at Seaworld, and we decided to go to Howl-O-Scream! We love Halloween and were in the area for HHN at Universal, so decided to add this event on to our vacation and am so happy we did! We bought online tickets very early in the season online for ~45.00 per person - amazing deal, do this! This event is a great value. You can't really compare this event to HHN given the large scale of Universal, but for what the event is, it is done so well. Parking is $35, this is a bit much given it was almost the price of the ticket, that would be my only issue. Parking was confusing as there was no one directing you or signs telling you where to park. Howl-O-Scream has a separate entrance than the park and its down to the right of the park entrance. Double check their bag policy online prior to going, but it doesn't look like they are following it that closely from what we saw with others. Scare zones were short and on a small scale but nicely themed. The haunted houses were well done with interactive scare actors. They have several of the larger rollercoasters open for the event like Mako, Ice Breaker, and Pipeline with little to no wait the night we went. The haunted houses are well designed as far as walking distance between them and less than 20-minute wait for all of them. We went on a weekday night, likely the weekends were busier. We didn't try and food/drink items, so I can't factor that in to my review. Overall, highly recommend this event which was fun, spooky, and a great value. read more

Howl-O-Scream Orlando is a separately ticketed event that runs on select nights from Sept. 10th to Oct. 31st every year at SeaWorld Orlando. The park will close to daytime guests at 7 p.m. before it turns into a place of terror from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m. to midnight on Thursdays and Sundays. However, you may enter the park as early as 5 p.m. You'll receive a wristband to put on yourself, so team members will be able to know you're there for the event. For 2021, SeaWorld Orlando's inaugural Howl-O-Scream event featured 4 Haunted Houses, 4 Scare Zones, and 2 Shows! Haunted Houses 1. Captain's Revenge It's off to Davy Jones' locker fer ya! In contrast, Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream Tampa gives you a better bang for your buck with 1 more haunted house and 3 more zones than Sea World's Howl-O-Scream Orlando with a total of 5 haunted & 7 scare Zones but Sea World is 40% smaller than Busch Gardens and at least you'll have to walk a lot less. Due to more Haunted Houses, I have to rank Howl-O-Scream Tampa over the one in Orlando. However, if you're a big haunted house fan, I highly recommend visiting both Howl-O-Scream Tampa and Orlando as the Haunted Houses are all different. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights is still the best Haunted House Halloween attraction with more haunted houses and movie tie-ins but the ticket prices are more and the crowds and wait times are much longer. You can easily do Howl-O-Scream Tampa or Orlando without a fast pass but I do not recommend Universal's Halloween Horror Nights in October without an expensive fast pass which may not be worth it to some people. If you're in Orlando or Tampa, I highly recommend visiting Sea World Howl-O-Scream Orlando! read more
