The prices are very affordable. And she takes the time to make sure she knows exactly what you are looking for and confirms length before cutting. Lena is easy to communicate with. I had hoped to find someone a little closer to home. But I have decided she is worth the drive. *She works very hard on feet all day. I got in for my appointment and was served immediately. I asked for a haircut with layers. Lena gave me a great cut. I got partial highlights. Would have liked it a little brighter but I have noticed my hair tends to not retain color well. But it got a nice subtle undertone which I like as well. I was in the neighborhood and seen there was a new salon. It's a bit hidden but the signage will direct you in. I got my cut with Lina she was so awesome! I showed her a few pics of what I wanted and she did a exceptional job! She took her time and made sure my cut was presice from all angles. The shop is clean and modern and offers many service. They have a pedi/mani special for 28$ I already had a pedi but I'll def be back for my next one here. I am very happy with my haircut Lina brought my hair back to healthy again! The parking is weird AF. Turn East onto Newhall Street, then park in the first lot to your right. It will be an apartment parking lot, however I did not see any signs about parking restrictions, so it should be ok to park in for an hour or two, especially in the day time when people are out. Walking further into that lot you will see that there is a path to the salon, so you won't have to walk through the gas station. On the good side, appointments were very available today (luck, probably). Also, the salon smells nice and the pretty hairstylist didn't charge me for tousling. Not sure if that is a first-timer benefit or if she was just feeling generous today. read more

My favorite new salon! Had the pleasure to have Val color my hair. She was honest about how my hair color and texture was prior to getting blonder. I had already processed my hair back in Feb, but do to my regular hair dresser being in Fremont, I wanted to find a closer place. I came in wanting to be lighter blonde, she was able to get me HELLA blonde... way more than I anticipated. She was very cautious about my hair, always checking it for breakage. Lena did a sloppy work cutting and evening out the hair color. However, it's never a good idea to make a customer wait over twenty minutes; that's a reflection of poor office planning. When Lena finally was available, we went over the style and coloring. Lena assured me that she could even out the hair color as I previously had a Balayage style. That did not happen in fact, when she was done, I was shocked to see that I was now a redhead which is nothing close to my expectations. I specifically said I did not want the red tone so she opted for the cooper tone. The roots came out reddish. She said she will turn the roots down after the haircut, but that did not happen either. Then after she blowed dry my hair she said it wasn't too bad and the color looks almost even. With the lightning in the salon, it was difficult to see the difference in the color until I got home. Hidden away on Washington street and Newhall, HP The SALON is a good place for haircuts and spa pedicures. But my favorite service was the chest/shoulder/back wax. I've had this service many times at many different places. Often the wax is too hot, or the wax type just sticks too much to the skin and really hurts when they rip it off. At this salon though, Lena made sure to always ask if the wax was too hot, or if I was comfortable. I've never had such a painless waxing experience as I had at HP The SALON. Lena does a great job. I also live down the street so I was surprised. looked it up on yelp and was surprised that I could make an appointment through yelp. Made an appointment and was able to get in right after work. Got my haircut and was so happy. I get a simple combover fade and she made it great. The best part is the price is the best! $10 without tip. I hope that never changes because it's hard to find that in the Santa Clara/San Jose Rose garden area for this quality of cut. I use to go up the street where they charge way too much for the type of cut I get. I hope this place stays! Just saw the message the company put on my review. First, I always layer my hair, all of it... so that was a lie. Second, who says blow dry my hair with no brush??? That is a crazy statement. I always ask for as much body as possible with ultra-fine hair.... My point about the Groupon is they tell you to cancel it and pay them directly instead. Mostly, how you feel the need to attack a person who left leaves feedback because you fail to see it as a learning experience and improve business or at the very least see it as my experience and not take it personal shows other costumers that you are not a place to feel safe to come to or worth doing business with. I accidentally found this salon after I got a really lousy haircut last week and tried to look for a make-up cut to save my look. Called in the afternoon and was able to make a same day appointment. I asked for a short bob and the lady who cut my hair did a really good job. I should have tipped her more as the price was very reasonable and the experience was pleasant. Total $20. i been looking to get a trim but didn't want to get over charged for two inches off. My new hair cut place.
