I just wanted to share my experience. I was recommended to visit this place by a PMU classmate because I was new to the area. She said it was her mom's shop. I booked with them by sending a reference photo, and I showed the same photo again to the hairstylist before she started the session. 11/26/2024. Right after the session , nothing looked like the reference photo. The highlights were too big and too close to the roots, and I lost at least 10-12 inches of my front hairline due to the bleaching. Moonlight said their bleaching didn't break my front hair -- they claimed it was just my natural baby hair. That's false, anyone with eyes and a brain can understand that was not my baby hair looking at the pictures provided. It was such a terrible experience during and after the service. Keep your hair safe and stay away from these people. read more

I went here for the first time to get my first facial for my wedding and I didn't know what to expect. However, Diane blew me away with her service and how thorough she was. I got the O2 facial for $120 and I thought she did an excellent job. She massaged my neck, arms, and face very well. Placed hot towels and hot stones over my body to loosen up the skin and muscles which were amazing. The room had the right mood with the lighting and music and overall, I thought she did a great job and my skin felt amazing after the process. I came in to get a men's loose perm and it turned out great. Linh was super helpful the whole time and made sure it came out how I wanted. I wanted a more natural, wavy look instead of tight curls and she made sure the perm came out exactly like that. Moonlight Beauty Salon did an amazing job on my haircut and perm! They are the perfect balance of reasonable pricing paired with great quality. I had been toying with the idea of cutting my waist-length hair into a layered bob, but I felt held back by the fact that I wanted something pretty specific for my hair and didn't know where to go. After a few months of on-and-off looking for a salon, I finally came across Moonlight Beauty Salon and decided that if they had openings for a walk in, I would just go and finally chop my hair. My stylist, Linh, was friendly and welcoming, and when I showed her a reference video and a couple photos of what I wanted, she immediately asked a couple clarifying questions and made a couple suggestions that made me confident she knew what she was doing and understood what I wanted. I just had to write a review after my amazing balayage experience with Linh yesterday! Linh was super thorough in explaining what would work best with my hair type and color. She has this great way of being confident in her expertise while still making you feel like your input matters. The balayage itself turned out GORGEOUS. Really disappointed. Diane and Linh are very kind but this is the fourth time they've done my hair incorrectly. They continually make my hair too short after I tell them not to. I tell them exactly what I want but they do the opposite. And when I tell them mid cut they just tell me they are blending. I have seen both D and L over the past year. Diane is a miracle worker. I didn't have the biggest hair cut demand but it was nothing short of extraordinary what she was able to do. I came in around 5 after work and she spent over an hour fifteen just working out my hair and turning it from lifeless, heavy, knotted into the healthiest, shiniest, smoothest I have ever seen it. My Asian hair was long and thick(almost at waist) and I left with sleek and non mushroomy shoulder length so I was in awe. Her arms must be toned and you know every day is arm day for her. She didn't just chop it off and put in a few layers, she took the time to make my hair was systematically and methodically cut. $55 for long hair + $20 tip. Well worth the higher tip because, as I mentioned, this lady was working my hair. She was out of breath at the end and, ma'am I feel you, I see you, I live this daily. At 930am i received a call to come in early then my appointment. I did at 945am. I start with Thao she did a great job with my regular pedicure. Diana start my gel manicure. I love them. Clean nail polish no, bubbles or clamps. Smooth and beautiful. I also received blow out. Friends, I have been following these ladies around since 2004 when they had their nail & hair salons on Steven's Creek (Angel Hair & Angel Nail - 2 shops in the same shopping Plaza, super popular and always busy... remember them?!). Excellent, meticulous service. Haircut, eyebrows, manicure, pedicure, facial service! I can't recommend them enough, I am so excited they opened another shop!! My skin is sensitive to wax, so to shape my eyebrows, Linh plucks them with tweezers. Which takes longer but I am so grateful she accommodates me and I do not trust anyone else to touch them. Went here for the first time with high hopes but left extremely disappointed. I asked for a shoulder-length layered cut and repeatedly said not to go shorter. Showed photos of what I wanted. Instead, I got a layered bob up to my ears. It looked fine when styled in the salon, but afterwards, it was a disaster. Because it's already too short, I can't even get it fixed as it would mean more trimming. I texted him on a Sunday afternoon asking if he had time for haircut and he texted back immediately that he's available the next day since Sundays are usually his day off. He was able to cut my hair early the next day. I asked for lots of short and long layers while still keeping as much length and Calvin did exactly that! He was really kind and had great service. My daughter has thick wavy hair and Linh gave her a really nice haircut with soft face framing bangs and long layers in the back, keeping the long. For me she trimmed off all of the dry dead ends and now my medium length hair looks and feels so healthy. She cleaned up my side swept bangs and the layers she did added body to my lifeless hair.
