I appreciate your response, but I feel that the main issue I have been trying to communicate is still being overlooked. I'm not sure why Martha continues to be referenced throughout your response as though she is my regular stylist or someone I routinely see. My concern was that I specifically wanted the person who had most recently done my hair, and I was not properly informed ahead of my appointment that she would not be there. That is a separate issue from the actual result of the service. More importantly, this is not simply a situation where I "didn't like the result" and was offered an adjustment. I clearly communicated what I wanted, showed pictures, and specifically stated that I did NOT want my hair to be dark. I wanted to maintain a light result. Instead, my hair was taken significantly darker than what I had requested. What is especially frustrating is that even during the appointment, the stylist recognized that something was not right. She took me back to the bowl and rinsed my hair out. That is important because it shows that this was not something I brought up after leaving the salon simply because I changed my mind about the result. What I am still not hearing from your response is any acknowledgment that the result was not what I asked for or that the stylist recognized there was an issue with what had been done. Instead, the response continues to focus on the fact that the service was completed and therefore payment was required. I understand that the service was performed and that is not what I am disputing. I am disputing the outcome of the service and the fact that it did not reflect what I clearly requested. A service being completed does not change the fact that the result was not what I asked for. At this point, I also do not feel comfortable having additional color work done at the salon simply to try to correct what happened. I came in trusting that my hair would be kept light, communicated that I did not want to go dark, and left feeling that my concerns were not being taken seriously. I am asking that you please reconsider the refund based on the circumstances of the appointment rather than continuing to characterize this as simply a completed service that I was dissatisfied with. The bottom line is that I am not looking for another stylist to tell me how they can fix it. I am looking for the salon to acknowledge what actually happened and take responsibility for the fact that the result did not match what I clearly communicated I wanted. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Limón with Martha. She was very patient and really listened to my hairstory and experiences at other salons. After years of blowdrying on high, flat ironing, teasing and generally punishing my fine locks, my hair is on the thinner side and just not as vibrant as it was years ago. I don't cut my hair very often. It's hard for me to trust stylists because so many of them just want to cut it all off and give me the standard layers with framing around my face which I really hate, so it takes all year to grow back. Well, meeting Martha at Limón really made me think that I may have found a stylist that understood. She listened and gave thoughtful, patient suggestions of what had worked for other clients. She understood that although I know I needed to cut off a good chunk of hair, I needed to take it slow. She gave me options, cutting off a bit then after blow drying, let me take a look and decide if I wanted to take off more. Seeing it dry made all the difference and I decided to take off a bit more and felt good about it. Often times I'll leave a salon thinking that it's ok only to get home and realize that too much had been cut and I'd have to wait months and months for it to grow back. Not this time. I felt good about it when I left, and days later when I washed and styled it myself which is kind of rare for me:) The salon is in a convenient location and has great snacks and drinks for their clients. Coming back to write an update. How can I say I love this salon even more? Got my haircut by Angela 2 months ago and now came back for a complimentary bang trim. It's so nice to see the salon decorated for the holiday with the Christmas tree filled with teddy bears, adds to the warm ambiance. I was greeted by the front desk and they offered me a complimentary drink. I had a hazelnut coffee. Everything is so well done from start to finish, the experience is one all on its own. I also got some hair products that Angela introduced me to and gave me samples the first time I was here. I bought Innersense products for 20% in their Black Friday sale. I ordered them online and set them for pick up. Angela freshened up my hair and she noticed an improvement in my wavy hair and that's really all due to the tips she gave me when she did the curly haircut. She took her time in cutting the bangs and even styled it. She's so sweet and enjoys talking to you while you're in the chair. She's also very good at cutting wavy hair (hard to find someone who can do this well). Limon Salon just got voted the Best Salon in the Silicon Valley, and you can see why! Even though it took me 30 minutes to drive here in bad Bay Area traffic, it was worth it! I already scheduled my next curly haircut for the new year. read more

This review is for ISIS- I have a girl who I trust with my haircuts wholeheartedly but I haven't found somebody I trust coloring my hair UNTIL NOW! After researching salons in my area I came across Limon. I checked out their yelp and Instagram to see their work. My first consultation was with Kimmy but she referred me to Isis. After my consultation I was nervous but decided to have faith and went forward with my appointment one week later. I haven't had my hair colored since Oct 2024. I let my roots grow out but the bottom portion of my hair was still blond ish. My natural hair color is dark brown and I wanted to go 2 to 3 shades lighter with subtle highlights throughout. I showed inspo pictures as a reference but most of it was verbalizing what I wanted. I was in the chair from 10:30 AM to 4:50PM. It was worth it because now I love my hair! I haven't loved my hair in a long time-thank you Isis! The woman at the front desk is very friendly and offers you something to drink when you check in. The salon is well kept and pretty big inside. Been here several times and have had the same experience every time. This is NOT a high-end salon although they charge the same amount as if it were. Instead of the stylist's analyzing your hair texture and adjusting the cut they give you some cookie cutter cut and charge high dollar. I won't be back. I went to Limon Salon with an inspiration photo and asked the stylist if my hair could realistically do that style. I have been going to this salon for years with a different stylist and have never had a bad experience until this time, which is why this was especially disappointing. Communication was not very clear, but at first the cut looked cute, just longer than what I had asked for. While I was still in the chair, I mentioned that I wanted it closer to the length of the photo, so she cut it shorter. After it was styled and curled, I realized it was still bouncing off my shoulders and not the length or shape I had asked for. I went back in and asked if it could be taken a little shorter, and they scheduled me for the next day, which I appreciated. When I returned, I again asked if my hair could do the inspiration photo and brought up whether a stacked shape might work better since my hair is very limp. I specifically said I did not want it super angled, and the stylist said they would not angle it like that. Unfortunately, once she started cutting, there was very little explanation of what she was doing. I thought she was creating the base shape and would add layers afterward, but by the time she got to the front, I realized she had cut off the longer front pieces I wanted to keep. The end result was not what I asked for. Instead of the soft, shaped, layered look from the photo, I ended up with a very blunt, straight, flat cut with no real layers or movement. I left feeling shocked and disappointed. I would have been okay with the original haircut being a little different from the photo, but after going back, I ended up with neither the inspiration cut nor the original version that had at least looked cute. Afterward, I emailed the contact for the manager to explain what happened. The response felt dismissive and honestly a little rude. I was basically told that I could not get a new haircut, which was confusing because I had asked the stylist beforehand whether my hair could do the style, and she never told me it could not or that the changes I wanted would create a totally different result. I was not upset because they could not magically give me a new haircut; I was upset because the communication was poor, the final result was not what I asked for, and the response afterward made me feel like I was being blamed for it. Overall, this was really upsetting because I have had good experiences at Limon Salon in the past. I wish there had been more communication before major changes were made, especially since I repeatedly asked whether my hair could achieve the inspiration style. The salon was nice about scheduling me to come back initially, but the final haircut did not match what I requested, and the follow-up made the experience feel even worse. read more

HAIRCUT: I had a lovely haircut by Alyssa in April, and my results are still stellar in August. The layers are visibly present, the hair feels healthy and light. She was so friendly, welcoming, and offered me refreshments and snacks while helping me get checked in. Then Maura came out and took me back. Since it was my first visit, she sat down with me and took the time to go over any questions or concerns I had.
