I called a bunch of different mechanics and no one could get me in as quickly as he could and he did it for a fraction of the price. Most places want to charge giant diagnostic fees PLUS the cost for parts and labor etc. Rob is honest and hardworking and knows his craft. I had an issue with my car stalling after putting gas in it (like every time) and he ordered the part and installed it same day and it's been working great ever since! Not only is Rob a great guy but Sarah the woman who works in the office is also just so so sweet and made it an enjoyable time while waiting for the car to be fixed. I will be using Robs Auto Repair for any future car issues and I would recommend this shop to anyone!

To fix a taillight on a Pontiac Vibe is pretty much hells on wheels! I made my first appointment; however, I was not able to wake up on time last Saturday. Instead, bobby, the mechanic and owner, had me come in today. Again, I could not make it on time (no it is not because I like to be fashionably late!) I ended up coming in at 10:30 a.m. and he started working on my car at 11:30 a.m. Man was it a journey! He fixed. I sat there watching t.v. in the office. He worked. I sat there watching t.v. at the office. He worked. I sat there watching t.v. in the office. He broke a sweat trying to use process of elimination on the wiring and I strained to watch the t.v. It was a fight to no end without either end giving in. OMG!! Finally, after 3 and a half hours, he finally got a spike out of my car. The tail lights were now working! Of course, this was all labor intensive, but he made me a good deal. He cut an hour and a half labor to work on my car and so the total was $159! (This is also were I thought to myself "DAMN SON, MECHANICS MAKE BANK! After hearing doctors and lawyers make $50/hr.!) Now usually in situations like this, I like to tack on a tip (throw money at people); but I am bat crap poor right now (probably because I eat out enough to do reviews on Yelp, 50% of my income). This is an issue we never had before in all the years we have been doing business with Jessamine Car Care Center. This is how they treat customers that have been using their service 10 plus years! We don't know if they didn't want to fix the problem or couldn't fix the problem. Whatever it was, grown people communicate. In addition, once we found another mechanic to look at it, the problem was misdiagnosed in the first place. If this is the way they treat a loyal customer. NO THANKS. At one point and time I would recommend them to anyone who needed car repairs but now my suggestion would be try other mechanics. They may seem cost efficient but in hindsight I let them work on at least 4 cars and we always had to go back because the problem was not fixed. All I can say is you live and you learn!

I needed the appointment to be today because it's the only day I had to get tires. When I got to the store, the person at the counter could not find any record of my appointment and the tires had not been ordered. My tires are an odd size and they are not kept in stock. To his credit, the attendant checked everything he could to find my appointment. The best he could offer was to have them on Monday. Were I off work, that would have been fine, but today was my free day. That's why I scheduled the appointment for today and that was the expectation. Now my time has been wasted and I still don't have tires. This store has been a problem for me on more than one occasion, but this was the last time I will give them an opportunity to disappoint. My money will go to a locally owned business from now on.
