Ian's pizza was pretty good. Pizza was good but not great. The dough and toppings were not warmed through and could have definitely used more time in the oven. I was also disappointed that there were no slices of pepperoni, or anything with pepperoni at all. Sadness making for sure. We have the Mac and cheese; the veggie delight; the chicken, bacon and ranch; and the pesto and tomato. The flavors were there for sure!!! When I go back I'll make sure they warm up my slices all the way through and then some...and hopefully they'll have pepp!

This pizza is the best and an absolute must visit when in Madison. Mac and cheese is a staple but try all of it! The puppy chow is the expert tip to have a sweet finish at the end.

I remember moving out of madison I'd never tried ians and when my friends would talk about it I'd think to myself dang I wish i'd gotten to try some of these crazy pizzas. Then I moved to seattle and I got whiplash when I walked past an ians. I looked it up and lo and behold, a random ians in seattle. Perfect I though, I'll finally have a chance to try. And then I never went and it closed down. WELL now i'm back in madison and I wasn't about to pass this ip. So yeah we got a bunch of crazy slices (never would I ever have thought I'd have ravioli on a pizza and probably never will I again). We so so thoroughly enjoyed the craziness of it all and left so stuffed. My fave was the macho nacho but I liked them all.

Great place for lunch - right in downtown Madison - to get a slice or two for a quick meal. Many choices; can get "standard" pizza or "gourmet". I got one of each. Easy seating; drink machine; fast service. Inexpensive and lots of choices. Has a little bit of that college spot feel.

Ian's offers NYC style pizza by the slice. Good hand tossed crust on all pies. The Mac-n-cheese pizza was featured on The Food Network so I tried that and a slice of their Mexican/Taco pizza. I actually wsnt wowed by the Mac-n-cheese. Kinda bland. Needed some hot sauce to give it some taste. The Mexican pizza on the other hand was insanely delicious. Easily the best slice of pie with that theme I've ever had. Really good seasoning and ingredients on that one. Get that one ! Its a grab-n-go at the counter kind of place with lots of seating all within an easy walk from the State Capital. Nice place !

Didn't expect much from a pizza chain with pasta on top of their slices, but that was my mistake. The mac n' cheese pizza was bomb. I thought it would be soggy or too cheesy, but it was neither. The crust held up like a champ and was even crispy. The mac was just right. I regret not trying another flavor, but at least I got some fresh breadsticks with stellar marinara sauce. I'll be back here next time I'm in Madison.

Super good! We got to try 4 different slices. Great service, people are super nice and helpful. Mac and cheese: 8/10, great crust, super cheesy, has a white sauce. Pretty balanced and not too doughy-starchy. I would eat right away Bbq chicken: 8.5:10, good! Sweet, savory, has a tiny kick. Potato cheese: 5/10, not my favorite but still hits. There's too much chewiness but the flavors are great. Needs more texture Burger: 8/10 SO YUMMY! It has a tang, has a lot of crunch to it and bits of meat.

Yummy pizza after a drinking-filled night at the piano bar next door. Service was fast. Bathrooms semi-clean. Friendly people.

We went here after watching a Mo' Amer comedy show atcomedy on State. Pros: No wait time Great price AMAZING PIZZA Cons: None Even if you are not a meat eater, they have a great options for veggie especially the mac & cheese pizza, and the potato with ranch. My absolute favorite was the buffalo chicken pizza, it does have a bit of spice to it. Overall, we can't wait to be back.

Really yummy casual spot for big pizza slices. I shared 3 slices with my mom and we were stuffed. Shockingly, my favorite was the spinach feta pizza. BBQ chicken was a close second. The Mac and cheese pizza was a must since it's Wisconsin and definitely hit the spot. All the pizza slices were crispy and oozing with cheese. The slices are simply heated and then served, which makes the process real fast. I would come back if I'm ever back in Madison!

Stopped in for a slice of pizza in the afternoon. The service was quick, you order in line and the pizza is heated up in an oven and ready for pickup at the counter within a couple minutes. Both slices were dense, hearty, and definitely unique flavors. College spot vibe upscale and modern.

Lunch time and wanting a snack, I found Ian's and thankfully, they sell pizza by the slice. Since this is Wisconsin, it's got to be cheese and cheese and more cheese, so I opted for the pizza with macaroni and cheese on top. Sounds weird, tastes awesome. While enjoying my slice, I found a power outlet nearby and was able to stuff some juice into my phone. A double win. Friendly service, great pizza, lots of options. A casual spot with really good mac n cheese pizza. Quick and fast, can't go wrong. The cheese sauce flavour really comes out

All veg, vegan, add pepperoni (so dairy free).

The old bones are still showing, with exposed brick walls and the large open windows giving the place that "well, they sure don't build 'em like this anymore" kind of charm. Right smack in the middle of the main floor sits a big ol' bar, surrounded by bright lime-green accent chairs that somehow make perfect sense once you're sitting in one, bellying up to the aluminum topped bar. Tables are scattered throughout both floors, all are absolutely packed, and not a grumpy face in sight. Upstairs, the two-story layout gives the place a little extra breathing room and a touch of old-building grandeur. It's quirky without trying too hard, colorful without being fussy, and comfortable in that distinctly Midwestern way. Why not start with an Old Fashioned and those Wisconsin cheese curds--because apparently regular cheese wasn't doing enough heavy lifting. These little golden nuggets come out hot, crisp, and gloriously greasy, a little salty, a little oily, plenty cheesy, and best eaten while they're still hot enough to make you question your life choices. The Old Fashioned, well... bless its heart, it tried. It had all the usual suspects--whiskey, a little sweetness, an orange garnish, and a healthy dose of bitters--but somehow the bitters forgot to show up for work. It wasn't terrible, exactly. It just lacked that gruff Wisconsin attitude you'd hope for in an Old Fashioned. God Bless The Queen! The Queen is their wood-fired pizza that keeps things simple while teasing your taste buds with rich fresh flavor. The flavors are classic Italian comfort, with the tomato bringing a little tang, the mozzarella keeping things creamy, and the Parmesan adding that salty, nutty punch at the end. The basil gives it a fresh, herby lift, while the wood-fired crust brings that smoky, crispy edge that makes you want to pick up another slice before you've even finished the first. Loved it! Eating this pizza in an old bank feels like peak Wisconsin: keep the brick, add a bar, fire up a pizza oven, and throw some cheese curds at the situation. Somehow, it works. Cheers!

With 2 Wood fire pizza ovens and an open kitchen concept, this place was it for me. Pizza: personal size, got the Salsiccia ($13) which was delicious. Crust was amazing, thin but scrumptious. Service: it was empty when I went at 2 and you order and pay first even if dining in. A lady (I believe her name was Lugenia?) was manning the front. Had to ask for napkins and asked for a cup of water. Got the napkins and an empty cup, water never showed up, no explanation. An elderly white couple showed up afterwards and they got the whole speech, come to find out (by eavesdropping) that there's a water fountain in the back. Well now I'm glad I tipped for no service at all. As I was leaving, a young lad was changing shifts with her and he seemed very friendly and thanked me for coming in. So maybe I just got unlucky with the service because he seemed a lot chipper. Parking: in the back, make a right at the light after passing the bagels shop. TLDR: come for the great pizza, but service could probably be a hit or miss. Takeout pizza would be amazing here.

It wasn't like the pizza had been sitting steaming for half an hour, it was less than 5 min from when someone handed us the box. I also wasn't particularly impressed with the double crust/sauce - which I wanted because the menu says thin crust and I like pizza with enough chewy crust to feel like I'm actually eating something. The part underneath the toppings felt like standard crust though, while the thick part was heftier (although strangely puffed because it's 2 layers). The toppings themselves were just ok, not all that flavorful. I'm not sure what went wrong with the crust since even in the restaurant it would come out on a pan. Maybe their double crust just doesn't work?
