Tried them for the first time tonight. Admittedly Chinese is not my top cuisine if i were choosing but my husband said it felt like it and I didn't want to cook. I'll start off by saying I appreciate how clean this place is. I walked in on a Sunday evening at almost 8pm and the place was spotless. Food was fresh, service was cheerful. My food was well packaged. By far the best egg roll I've ever had. The fried rice could've used more flavor, but nothing a little soy sauce couldn't fix. Hmmm. Where to start. Positives: clean restaurant and friendly service. Price point was decent. Cons: I ordered chicken fried rice that had absolutely no chicken. Or flavor. Enough veggies to say they were in there. I added a couple of eggs and some soy sauce when I got home and tried it to make it taste like something. Again, no chicken in the chicken fried rice. I ordered beef and broccoli and asked if I could pay for extra beef (and was told yes and I DID pay for it.) Things I don't understand: how come it was in the same sized box as a regular order if you added extra beef? How come the extra beef was chicken (?!?!)? The beef was almost soggy the chicken ("extra beef") wasn't beef. Not sure I'm going to go back but thought I would at least tip off other people to check your orders before you leave the building. read more

Food was delicious. We had the chicken wings with shrimp fried rice and the seafood plate. They serve large portions - great value for what you pay for. It may be slightly challenging to converse with the Chinese lady taking the orders but service was great. Just don't expect too much if eating inside. We love Huangs Kitchen at my work place. Some of the best Chinese food available in the High Point area. They have great lunch specials. Unfortunately it's delivery fees are a bit pricey so we don't order often. We have loved the crab wontons. Crispy and real crab! I enjoyed the pepper steak and onion. I've also ordered the cashew chicken which includes tons of veggies and the chicken was fried and tossed in a great sauce. Huangs has become our go to for takeout Chinese in High Point. When you pick up the bag of Huangs takeout from your porch, it feels different than other takeout bags. That's because you are literally picking up pounds of food. Quality food. One combination platter can easily make 2-3 normal people meals, or one giant "just completed the Bataan Death March" meal. I recommend adding an order of crab Rangoon as a starter. It includes 5-6 light and fluffy rangoons that aren't full of air. Easily some of the best I've had. I go with the General Tso combination platter and upgrade to either the beef fried rice or vegetable Lo mein. The girlfriend loves the Szechuan Chicken and Szechuan Shrimp. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. Huangs is eligible for the Dash Pass if you're a Door Dasher. read more

This place has been here for many many many years, and the food has always been solid. It's always ready fairly quick, the portions are generous, and the counter staff is prompt. What's not to like? Well, none of the food is particularly memorable compared to other restaurants like it. Some things they do better than others. The General Tso's chicken is very tasty, and they have some really good lo mein. The soups are inexpensive and tasty, and they have well priced lunch specials. Other items though, like Chicken w broccoli, or kung pao anything could use some inspiration though. Either way, you could do a lot worse for your Chinese take out experience in High Point, so give this place a shot if you haven't yet. read more

Avoid. If you like being treated rudely in order to receive your order, this is your place. Food is typical american chinese, although they usually actually have chicken in the sweet and sour and sesame chicken dishes besides fried dough. you may like that better. This place is a quintessential Americanized Chinese take out restaurant - small & worn, located in a strip shopping center, a nice selection of inexpensive Lunch Specials, more than adequate portions, the overuse of strange veggies, and the abundance of the infamous "brown sauce", seemingly found everywhere, and on everything. I tried some lunch specials - Pepper Steak, Kung Pao Chicken, and Szechuan Beef, along with an Egg Roll & Pork Fried Rice. Nothing was "bad", but nothing was "wow" either, and the primary reason was that all 3 entrees were soaked in that brown sauce, so they all tasted the same, and with a definite sweetness. The basic Chinese brown sauce can be quite good, when used in the proper dish, and when it is prepared without an over-reliance on cornstarch and sugar. With the amount of sauce used on these dishes, identifying what you are eating becomes a textural quiz, what was that crunch? The secondary reason was the overuse of vegetables - the meat in the dish gets lost among all the foliage (and the sauce), and the classic versions of these dishes are about showcasing the meat. The Pork Fried Rice and the Egg Roll were without complaint or compliment. I will try some other menu items here, searching for the lack of the brown sauce, because there seems to be potential here - my initial choices may not have been the best gauge of this restaurant - I will go with that thought, for now. read more

The presentation isn't really that great. But I forgive that because the food was Buzzin Buzzin. The crab Rangoon was ugly but delicious. Perfectly crispy like perfectly crispy and sweet and delicious with chili sauce oh my goodness it was so good. I also have the egg drop soup which was clear-ish but was GOOD and season very well. I got the dumplings which were also very much amazing and I left it in the sauce shake them up soup and ate those last and it was so good. I gave him a three out of five for presentation and a five out of five on taste. Plus you got somebody who's English who works there to take your order. No more confusion. NOW they don't give you any that sauce you don't like it's a choice whether or not you get sauce and if you don't want sauce you don't have to get it if you want sauce you can get whatever sauce you want. read more

This is an awesome take-out Chinese joint! Fresh food, quick service! It's not one of those buffet style Chinese places, they cook for you after you order. Food came out hot and fresh! My husband ordered beef and broccoli and I ordered orange chicken. Both were fantastic and way more food than I could finish. The combo came with pork rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was OK. It's Friday night and we didn't feel like cooking or driving anywhere so we ordered delivery via Postmates and kicked back. We had ordered here once before and thought it was decent, especially as a soup-lover, their hot & sour soup was a pleasant surprise. So we decided to try again to see if it was a fluke. It wasn't. In addition to the typical mushrooms you'd find in hot & sour soup, they included a generous helping of crunchy wood ear mushrooms too! And it tasted fantastic, especially compared to the hot & sour soups I've had from the Triad which I haven't been all too impressed with because of bland, greasy flavor. Not to mention they're usually skimpy on the ingredients. Not this soup! Every stir of my spoon was filled with mushrooms and substance. Very satisfying if you're a mushroom lover like myself! My husband ordered their Mongolian beef and dumplings. This meat-lover was thoroughly satisfied with the portion size and the dumplings were wrapped in dough that isn't thick, bready, and chunky like you'd typically find which made it taste more balanced with the meat-filling. Shrimp and lobster sauce had decent flavor but in line with a lot of the other Chinese restaurants. All in all, I would continue to order from here for Chinese. They tried adding onion but it was an obvious last minute add in. Beef with broccoli was ok but nothing bro brag about. This is now my favorite Chinese take-out restaurant in the Triad thus far. They have the best hot and sour soup I've had in the Greensboro/HP area - it has the perfect balance of spicyness and sourness and the liquid viscosity is on point. I've had their rendition of General Tso and it was tastefully tangy, somewhat different to the standard General Tso's I've had. They did cook it perfectly to have a hard outer skin and soft chicken. Their rice is soft and not oily and all their veggies are crunchy and not soggy. I've also had their Pepper Steak and Onions which satisfied my cravings for onions in their flavorful sauce. I come here mostly for their cheap $5.25 lunch specials that is exceptionally delicious and good in quality, especially for a fast food Chinese take-out. read more

I finally checked out this place because I didn't feel like driving way out on Wendover for the place I've actually tried and loved since moving here. Overall, the food was good. I ordered shrimp lo mein, General Tso's chicken, and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. The lo mein and the egg foo young are typically how I choose to judge chinese restaurants. noodles can't be too wet, and the gravy for the egg foo young has to be great...if they aren't then I'll move right along. The lo mein here was good, so was the General's chicken. The gravy for the egg foo young was surprising. It's usually a beige color maybe slightly darker but not dark brown like it was when I took it out the bag after arriving home. I didn't use much of the gravy at all. I spooned only a little bit on top of my egg foo young. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I wanted to pour the gravy on top like I usually do. I don't know if it was a mistake. It was more like the brown sauce you get when you order chicken and broccoli. I may give them another chance, but I will ask about the color of the gravy next time and see if they simply gave me the wrong container or if that's their gravy. read more

I thought it was a nice family restaurant. The owners' adorable children were playing off to the side when I went in and there were several families eating there. Service was pretty fast considering the amount of traffic they had and the ladies who helped me with my order were very friendly. I ordered the orange chicken combo and house lo mein. I really enjoyed the chicken and the lo mein I tried was pretty good, too. The chicken had little pieces of orange peel in it which made it really flavorful. It came with two pieces of broccoli which were so good, I think I might have to get the beef with broccoli next time. read more

I called back to Huang's Kitchen to let you know what happened. There was no apology about my (two) soups being missing. I am not happy. I am not use to being treated this bad way. My Daughter Amira and I planned a nice sit down dinner for two at home. She selected all the menu items to pick up. We took out the good plates and metal forks and spoons. To get back home and find items missing ruined our dinner. I don't plan on coming back as a customer unless something is done. I will bring back the handwritten note from my Daughter and the receipt.
