    Thanksgiving Pairing
    Diana D.

Lone Star Winery is exceptional. I've only been once but can't wait to go back. I went for their Thanksgiving pairing and the experience was memorable. The setup was beautiful, the Thanksgiving food was amazing and the wine was even better! You can tell their staff is very passionate about what they do and they do such a good job at educating their costumers on wine. It was such a wonderful experience to pair the right wine with the right food and see how it just elevates the taste of both the wine and the food. Prices are very reasonable and they have a great membership program! My only suggestion is to hold the wine pairings in a bigger room, we were a little cramped in there.

I visited in a Wednesday during Fall Wine Trail. The staff was friendly and attentive. We tried the Bordelaise chicken wings and they were amazing. The wine choices in our flight were great. I'd definitely come back again. We sat on the patio. Perfect evening

This is a very nice tasting room tucked into a small group of shops in downtown McKinney. The wine was excellent! Last week we stopped in for a wine tasting and I had the Grey Ghost flight which gets you a taste of two of their whites and two reds. I liked them all, even their Chardonnay which I am not typically a big fan of. The Grey Ghost gets you a taste of the Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sangiovese and the Montepulciano. I thought the Montepulciano was the best of the group, but enjoyed them all. The surroundings are super nice and the staff top notch. Go enjoy some good wines and the atmosphere here.

Update...just as good as ever. Cute and quaint. Love this place, everyone is friendly and food and drinks are great.

After hearing back from Becky we were eager to come back and see how things were on our next visit because you don't always receive feedback from a review. Attended a Wine and Popcorn pairing event (I know, who knew?!?!) and had a great time. Becky and Liz told us about the wines, the ranch and the winery and we enjoyed learning about the family history. It was fun exploring how wine and popcorn can enhance each other's taste! And I loved the fact they they tested them all in advance to provide us with a great experience. The family atmosphere was wonderful!

Met our fabulous friends, Bryan & Rick, who invited us to hear some great live music and wine! The wonderful staff walked us through our white wine choices, and no one judged my trashy ice filling of my glass. What can I say, you can't take me anywhere. Seating was limited, but everyone got cozy and made it work. We even made some new friends who bar hopped with us!

Disappointed that they mostly represent wines drom California. Not so much the lonestar state. stars because the venue was very inviting. Easy cosy environment with great views. The wine was not the worst though would have wanted more body to it. The biggest boldest cavernet Sauv they had fell short and so did the service. The flight of wine was brought to us with no explanation of the wine like a proper tasting should be. Next we saw the waiter was for the check. If you like hanging solo uninterrupted with sweeter light bodied wines then this is the place for you.

This wine bar has easy access, a patio area, high and low tables and bar seating. The majority of their offerings are sourced from other wineries both inside and outside of Texas. The wines we tried were okay, but nothing to write home about. They suggested a place for us to score a burger to go from around the corner and bring it back to have our wine with. The biggest impression I had was the vibe of the place. We aren't locals and just didn't have the same experience it looked like the regulars had. The place went from nearly empty to over 3/4 full from 4:00-4:45 on a Sunday afternoon. *if you like my reviews or find them helpful, leave me a like or a comment please

I booked a cheese & wine tasting for a date night with my husband & we absolutely had the best time! This is a family owned winery & the hospitality shown during our event was top notch. Our host Bianca did such a fabulous job setting up a beautiful table for the tasting - I tried to take as many photos as I could before wanting to dig into the feast. All together there were 5 pairings with generous pours and unique cheeses. She did an incredible job educating about the pairings without making the evening seem like a lecture but we still walked away feeling like we've learned something new. It's a delicate balance and she guided the group with such passion and care. I've been to quite a few tasting events & this one definitely is right to the top of my favorites. The atmosphere of the room was perfectly cozy - I didn't feel like it was a stuff as many people in as you fit kind of place - gave more of the visiting friend's you've known forever kind of vibe. The event flowed well, wasn't rushed at all, the host was open to all questions and opinions on the pairings. Definitely highly recommend for all date nights, friendly outings, girls night, and all things in between!

I went to this place last night for the first time. I sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and willing to let me taste a few wines before settling on a full glass. I met a couple of regulars at the bar who were also friendly. They had a guy singing and playing his guitar. I thought he was very good entertainment. Overall I enjoyed the ambiance of this place. My negative comment is that the wine by the glass seemed excessively priced in my opinion. One I had was $19.50 and another was just a little less. Overall decent wine but I didn't think it had the quality that I would expect for that price.

Cute way to present a wine tasting!

His ability to engage our large and diverse group while making it a fun and memorable experience for all was extremely impressive. Even people who normally roll their eyes at these sorts of activities were participating and having a great time. It didn't matter if you were an experienced chef, a novice, a senior leader, or a newbie on the team....everyone loved it! His location was a bit out-of-the-way for our company and took us about a half hour to drive to (which is not a distance we normally travel for dinners/activities). On the way there, some people were complaining about how far away it was, but THE MOMENT chef tre started talking with everyone there was zero additional mention of the drive (and it wasn't mentioned again a single time after the fact). Thank you chef Tre and team for an amazing night!

The tours come with a ticket for a drink so that was a nice little extra. As the tour started Ryan & Diego (our fabulous guides) gave us some history of how the company started and as well as the process of how the vodka is made. We got to mix our bottle (as we got the lemon) and fill our bottles. We also got to put the caps on the bottle and see how the line works. At the end of the tour, we also got to taste some vodka. After the tour we decided to go get our drinks and the staff inside were just as kind as the staff taking us on the tour. There are so many drink options that I wasn't sure what I wanted as they have so many flavored vodkas. I was told I could sample the vodkas which I was grateful for as it helped me make a decision. My cousin got the raspberry cobbler and the Bloody Mary - the raspberry was sweet but good and I don't like bloody Mary's but I'd drink this one! I got the blueberry lemon, the prickly pear and the front porch . . . All were good to me. When we were there they had some guys playing music inside which was a little loud but sitting on the porch, it was nice to hear. They also had a pizza food truck outside and my cousin said the pizza was really good. If I could make a suggestion to the establishment I would ask them to PLEASE sell flights! Please please please as there were so many drinks that I wanted to try but unless I was gonna sleep in the parking lot I knew I shouldn't but I guess it's also a reason to come back!

The choco pie was huge and worth the amount I paid for it. The crust was prone to falling apart though so be prepared to make a mess! Speaking on my memories from 2 years ago, I'd gotten chicken piccata which had a sauce similar to the spaetzel.
