Breakfast came out so fast I barely had time to decide how much syrup I wanted! I really enjoyed the French toast it was delicious. My husband loved the shrimp and grits, and my daughter was all smiles with her heart-shaped pancake. She also gave two thumbs up to the strawberry lemonade. Even the coffee was on point, which is always a great start to the day. The total for the three of us was $62, which I thought was very reasonable. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Every employee we came in contact with seemed genuinely happy that we were patronizing the business and was so positive, upbeat and pleasant. If I lived in SC I would come here every weekend for that reason alone. Everyone was so attentive. The place gives diner vibes with better food. There's booths, tables and some people who you can tell are clearly regulars. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean! We ordered the following - - Veggie omelette (added jalapeño and spinach) with extra crispy hashbrowns, rye bread and a side of Turkey sausage. The omelette was fluffy and flavorful with a great amount of fillings. The hashbrowns were perfectly crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Sausage was juicy and flavorful. The bread!!! I hate to rave about toast but making toast is such a lost art that people do not appreciate anymore but this place does. The rye was perfectly browned and had butter in every single crevice. It was a delight to bite into. If you are having a bad day you should just come here and eat toast. It's literally impossible to have a bad day after eating that toast. - cheesesteak melt with hashbrowns- the beef was seasoned Perfectly And it was juicy and tender. The perfect amount of pull to the cheese and the bread was buttery, garlicy and still firm enough to hold the sandwich. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. Always a good meeting place with great food. As the name suggests most of the breakfast menu is centered around eggs. As someone who isn't a big egg fan I opted for the Key Lime pancakes and a cheeseburger. Usually the cheeseburger is my default order, but when something as delicious as key lime is an option, I couldn't pass it up. We also tried the apple crisp pancakes. I usually visit Eggs Up every Sunday with my husband and child. The ambiance is great and my server was ok. She struggled in many aspects such as bringing drinks in a timely matter and taking at least 10+ minutes to bring the check and to go trays. She may be new so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. However, they are receiving 2 stars because of the lie they concocted and this terrible excuse for a blueberry waffle. Every week I visit I order a blueberry waffle for my son. He loves being able to cut the waffle open and see his cooked blueberries. We ordered the waffle and received blueberries on top..... We have NEVER experienced this before. I told my server about the issue and she said she would talk to the kitchen about it. She came back and told us that the cook said "we don't do that anymore because it messes up the machine" which was a blatant lie. We were sitting right beside the kitchen and they said it takes it too long to clean. Excuse me? You're too lazy to clean a machine? Is this not your job? I was appalled and disappointed. Great menu and friendly service from the young lady serving us, but everything we ordered seemed to be very bland, very processed, and made by amateurs. - coffee was very weak. - hollandaise for the eggs Benedict had zero citrus flavor and a very starchy and lumpy mouth texture. - scrambled eggs were too wet and tasted like a milk carton. - cheese was grainy and very low quality taste. - pickled jalapeños coins, are not "fresh jalapeños" and just add to the "lazy food-prep" mantra of the restaurant. Breakfast food is too easy to make and too often make from fresh ingredients. The bottom line for a breakfast joint is this: If you're not exceeding Waffle House quality and taste, I certainly won't be back. read more
