I understand it's Huddle House so I'm never expecting the best service. But Jesus, second time this waitress has waited on me and I'm not going back ever after this mornings fiasco. Waited an hour, went to the restroom and looked at grill when I was going by. My order hadn't even been started yet. Called my hateful and hostile waitress over, told her we were leaving. She went off and started screaming well just leave if you want too. They should fire this woman. She' always has a chip on her shoulder. I've seen her do this sort of thing with others in the past. I've ate here before everything was great. This trip was another story. I ordered bacon and eggs over medium with hashbrowns and wheat toast. Best part of the breakfast was the toast. My eggs were over cooked the bacon was so greasy you could have soaked a full sheet of paper towels with it the hashbrowns were cooked so crunchy with nothing soft to even eat throughout them. I would have sent it back to the kitchen but I was hungry and didn't feel like waiting another 30 minutes + to get it redone. All in all was one of the worst breakfasts I've ever had. I love the Huddle House, but one female employee manages to ruin the experience every time I go. It's not someone having a bad day, it's every time. She doesn't speak, she barks. She has been here for a long time and there is no telling how many people stay away because of her. Food is more expensive so I at least want a positive experience. I ordered prime rib steak tips with onion and mushroom eggs and hashbrowns I'm picky about my eggs and scrambled they were too wet underneath for my liking the prime rib steak tips were like chewy gelatinous didn't have the texture of meat the hashbrowns were good but it was a very small portion so I'm going home only to have to make me some pancakes because I feel like I hadn't eaten anything. read more

Hair in food-horrible customer service What a terrible experience. Waitress was rude from the start. Brushing it off, thinking she is just having a bad morning, I proceeded to order. Working in her position myself, I know it's hard to be friendly on those not so good days (although I always did, it was part of my job and important to the business itself) That I get. Pure rudeness, attitude, and disrespect...I do not. Still I ignored the stern attitude demeanor that I had received from the start of my ordering process. I won't go into detail on it for it wasn't with as much importance,other than an attitude from the start. Upon receiving my breakfast, with her still at the table, I stated that there was a HAIR, yes...a HAIR, in my food. I know this does happen and it wasn't a big issue. I was merely pointing it out, so that it could be corrected. What happened next was the big issue. With her voice raised, attitude and hatefulness...she stated that, it was part of my eggs, not a hair. As I was trying to tell her, no it's a hair, she continued with rudeness to mouth at me. I had asked her not to speak to me the way that she was and she responded by telling me not to come at her. I reassured her, I was not coming at her in anyway, that I was just not going to be talked to the way she was talking to me. Wish I had recorded it. She wanted to know like what? I said in such a rude smart ass way. Yes , by this point my frustration with the way I was being talked to and treated had reached its peak, so yes, I said ass, sorry. She then asked me to leave for cussing. I did as she asked. She did end up realizing that it was a hair but had already been very rude and disrespectful. Dumbfounded, I called to speak with the manager or the higher up, after the disbelief of what had just happened. Being that I was talked to unprofessionally from the start, had pointed out hair in my food (it happens) and was not willing to let her speak to me in such a rude and hateful way, without pointing it out. Bad day or not, as a customer pointing out a problem, (it wasn't a problem, her response and how she responded was the problem) and stating that she was not going to talk to me and shouldn't any customer in such a way, the fact I brought her attitude to her attention, I was asked to leave. Which after friendly customer service like that I gladly agreed. My only goal for calling was to enlighten management of both sides of the situation and awareness of how I was spoken to so that maybe the next customers wouldn't have the same tone of voice experience but management wasn't interested in hearing what had happened. She only tried to escalate my frustration also with a somewhat attitude and never once stopping to ask, as a true professional in her position would, what had happened. What could she do to remedy my experience, right the wrong and attitude of her employee. She seemed to not care one way or another. Only to put words in my mouth, worsening the situation, give more attitude and to have the I'm standing by my employee by not handling the call in a professional way etiquette. I continued to try to handle the situation respectfully and professionally but after about 10-15 min. of the ridiculousness and lack of management skills another employee of 20+yrs., believed to be the cook, got on the phone. For the first time, I was spoke to in a respectable, professional, down to earth, I'm not better than you, kind of way. It was her, who for the first time, truly wanted to know, and listen to the complaint and what had occurred. The first one to hold a decent conversation with no attitude. She done so, in a respectful, professional way. She actually apologized for what had happened, although it was not her place to have done so, and wanted to try to discuss with Mindy AKA (the manager) a way to right the wrong. I didn't want a free meal or anything else out of this other than others not being treated or talked to in such a rude way. It's pretty sad that the cook, who probably gets no credit what so ever, is more professional, respectable , and capable of handling a situation, than the management. Pretty sure the owner would be displeased with her employees and the experience given by her staff but she was unavailable this week. From how the customer was first approached, to the hair in the food, to how the waitress addressed it , down to the one she left in charge had handled the call. I know, I would give my team a course in customer service and the cook (the only one that actually made an effort to handle the experience) a bonus. Sorry,for the long review but being in the food industry myself and this being the first bad review I have ever given, I felt it necessary to explain. Wouldn't recommend this place to my dog. Thats pretty much how you are going to be treated in this establishment, if you point out that there is a hair in your food or if someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. read more

The flies were ridiculous. The lights over the table were so close to our heads that I had a headache. I unscrewed it just enough to turn it off and just when i was comfortable and ready to enjoy my meal the waitress came over and made me screw it back in because she was worried about secret shoppers. It is the Huddle House, so I really was not expecting much. But it was a new low. Our order was wrong - not just one of four orders, but all four. It took 90 minutes to finally get our orders, eat and get out. Wow. Too much time for a place that should be fast. I don't know where to start - server, kitchen - or some place else. But I can tell you this Huddle House was so bad - I think I will take my desire for cheap breakfast back to the Waffle House. Good luck if you stop here! read more

Well, I didn't expect much but eating out gluten free in Paris,Tennessee is difficult to say the least. But,I knew I could order eggs and other items that are wheat free by default. We arrived on a Sunday morning. They were busy. We like to sit at the bar so wechose a place away from the busy door. Just so happened there was a to go order sitting on that section of the bar. After asking that it be moved we were told that we could move down or get a table. Our replay was we want to sit here and my fiance' started to slid the bags down. At that point the waitress, who seemed to be in charge, very loudly and rudely said don't touch other people food. It was embarrassing. At her leisure she came and moved the bags and said our waitress would be with us in a moment. No one ever came to help us and after about 10 minutes we left.
