For a small hospital they do a great job. I've had heart rehab and physical therapy. The pharmacy is extremely good.

I have been treated poorly or dismissed at other clinics for a skin issue that has been plaguing me for 5 years. I was checked in, got registered, sat in a nice clean, well lit waiting room with other people who were all experiencing their own emergencies. I got called on quickly. Saw 3 amazing nurses who treated me with care and kindness. If you value your dignity, this place will take amazing care of you. Saw the doctor who was absolutely a joy to speak to, listened, and offered amazing advice for treatment. Set me up with a referral to a dermatologist and had me out of the ER in a very short amount of time compared to other places I have been to. DR. Schroeder is probably the best doctor I have had the good fortune to have met. He really did an amazing job. My prescriptions were sent over to my pharmacy, and the follow up nurse named Riley made sure that I understood the prescriptions as well as listened to me ramble on about owning a Jeep. The first nurse who took me in was amazing, vegetarian and lovely behind her mask. The second nurse was also really kind but I do not remember his name. When I went to leave, finding my way out was made much easier thanks to a nurse with tattoos up her right arm, I did not get her name. I love this place and anyone who says it is terrible, obviously has never been happy a day in their life. This place did an amazing job.

From the very beginning, we felt comfortable there, and every visit since has reinforced that we made the right decision. The staff have always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. No matter who we interact with, we're greeted with a smile, and that goes a long way when you're preparing for something as important as bringing a child into the world. We have Dr. Becker, and she has been amazing throughout this entire pregnancy. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain things in a way that makes us feel comfortable and informed. My wife has a lot of confidence in her, and so do I. Beyond being a great doctor, she has a wonderful personality that makes every appointment enjoyable. We find ourselves laughing every time we meet with her. We really didn't know what to expect when we first chose a doctor, but looking back, I honestly feel like Dr. Becker was the perfect fit for us. I'm sure there are many great doctors at Lakeview, but we feel very fortunate to have her caring for our family. We're excited to welcome our son at Lakeview Hospital, and we're grateful for the care we've received so far. It's been a great experience, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. I almost forgot to mention Liberty, our ultrasound tech. She was an absolute joy to work with. She took her time during our appointment and made sure we got to see every possible view of our son. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in what she does and genuinely wants families to have a great experience. The images she captured were wonderful, but what stood out most was how much she seemed to care about the people she serves. That level of commitment and attention to detail means a lot, and it definitely made our experience even more special. Thank you Lakeview for everything your staff has done so far to make my wife and I feel great about our decision to birth there.

I saw Mary Sharkey and I absolutely adored her! She spent a lot of time going over my own health history and things she wanted to inquire more about. She wanted to make sure to get to know me and my history before figuring out next steps and I appreciated that. Especially when it came to my family history. She's a wealth of knowledge and I can tell she really cares about your health and wants to help the patient make the right decisions. I greatly appreciate her attention to detail and the amount of time she spent with me.

I was brought to this ER via ambulance while having an extremely bad reaction to THC. I was treated…read morepromptly, however after seeing the Dr it went downhill fast. First, the information they had in their medical records was connected to a Fairview clinic I went to over a decade ago. I gave them the information for Park Nicollet and my current primary physician, but they never updated that information. When I was discharged they instructed me to follow up with the old Fairview physician I haven't seen in over 10 years. Second, I'm diabetic so I take a lot of medication that's closely monitored and has been updated several times in the last 10 years. They not only didn't have an updated list of medications, they didn't even ASK me what I was currently taking. They didn't even ask if I was taking any insulin! This seemed so dangerous and that alone would stop me from ever stepping foot in this hospital again. Third, the Dr only listened to the beginning of my story, made an assumption about what I had ingested without even looking at the information from the label that was sent with me, then just started talking over me without listening to how I was feeling. It turned out he assumed it was something completely different than what it actually was, (synthetic K2 vs. live rosin). It doesn't matter to me in the end because I'm never touching the stuff again, but it would have been appropriate to at least try to be accurate. Finally, it felt like whenever I had a first encounter with someone they were very kind, but then they'd see in my chart that I was there for a "drug overdose" and immediately shift the way they treated me. Like they couldn't take me as seriously, or I had put myself there so I didn't deserve their top level of care. Ultimately I would never go to this hospital again. I tend to avoid the Fairview system in general, but this was a particularly bad experience.

Because flu and upper respiratory infections are down, there was no line. I was checked in, seen, and out of there in 30 minutes. Because of my health insurance they didn't collect a co-pay at that time. I will pay when the bill comes. The nursing staff who treated me were kind, thorough and friendly. This is a very well run Urgent Care. Keep in mind that this can be a VERY busy place on weekends or when regular doctors offices are closed. Be prepared to wait, or ask what the wait time is ahead of time. Treat the staff with care! They are trying to help you!!

Worst hospital experience. EVER…read more Between my parents, children and us, I have been to almost every hospital in the metro area. Multiple times. First time at United and would never go back. My husband's surgery was scheduled and then changed 3 days before surgery to a new day. The afternoon before surgery, the time was pushed back. Upon arrival it was pushed back. Then the surgery was still another hour later. It had to do with surgery room availability. If you are on My Chart, they send a lot of text messages. Most with very little information. One of them said to take normal meds on the morning of surgery with 2 sips of water. When we arrived, the nurse was upset that my husband took a particular med. He never received a pre-op phone call to discuss. Very strange. The surgery started late so I was left waiting in the surgical area for hours. They have an electronic board with color coding to tell you where the patient is in the process. They will also text you very brief messages that are generic. The board finally showed that my husband was out of surgery and so I packed up my laptop and waited for the doctor. I wasn't sure if they have a consult room or just come to you. No consult room. No one came. The person at the desk disappeared and never came back so no help there. I had to use the restroom but held it because no one had contacted me and I didn't want to miss the doctor. By now it was 4 hours post-surgery. I flagged down an employee walking down the hall and explained the situation. They said they would go to the surgery center and have someone contact me. 45 minutes later the center called and said my husband had been having some issues and they were waiting for a room to keep him overnight. The doctor finally came more than 5 hours post-surgery and apologized. It still was another hour for the room. By now it is after 7pm. My husband hasn't eaten in over 24 hours and is hungry. But the kitchen is closed. No one cared to ask if he was hungry while waiting for the room. He didn't have any dietary restrictions. The nurse finally brought him a cup of ice cream after 8pm. They also don't provide Kleenex, a toothbrush or toothpaste. Huh??? The next morning, the PA said he could go home soon. We waited, and waited and waited. The nursing staff disappeared. We finally buzzed them. We sat for 3 hours. Apparently they decided to fill the meds and were waiting. Here is the crazy part of that ... 3 of the meds were Tylenol, Advil and a stool softener. All of which we have at home in brand names vs. generic and they charged a lot. But the strangest part is when he was finally ready to go, they said he could leave. Did he want a transport downstairs? It could take another hour. Every hospital has always made us ride in a wheelchair due to liability issues. So we walked across the street to the parking ramp after surgery in the abdominal region. What??? The cafe is open shorter hours and the chicken enchilada special was very poor. The parking ramp (blue) is undergoing repair and is somewhat scary from a structural standpoint NOT recommended.
