I tried Hudson's Place for the birthday cake latte and it was fantastic. The latte itself was delicious, but the cold foam really made the drink. The flavor was so good that I could easily see myself wanting it every day. That said, it's definitely on the expensive side for a latte. I'd get it again as a special treat, but it's not something I could get regularly. The space is cute and modern, but it's definitely more of a grab-and-go type of spot. It's a small space with very limited seating and it gets pretty crowded, which is understandable given how popular it seems to be. Because of that, it's not really a place where you'd want to settle in to work or hang out for a while. The only seating available is a small counter by the window with a few stools, and the shop can feel a bit hectic when you first walk in. One thing I also appreciated was the bathroom. HP original caught my eyes when surfing insta. I was super excited to try the sourdough pizza and of course the coffee drinks. The location of the store is in a pretty tight small shopping center. Parking can be limited when it's really busy. The only seating option is along the front of the store. There also isn't much space inside the store but I did appreciate that it didn't take too long to get our drinks and pizza. We ordered the hot honey burrata pizza, tiramisu latte and agent latte. Esthetically, the tiramisu latte was pretty but the whipped cream is so thick I didn't feel like the combination of flavors mixed very well. The agent latte was okay. The pizza...I had such high hopes but ultimately wasn't very impressed. I'm not sure if I would've felt differently if we had been able to eat it right away. But almost $30 for the pizza (size is slightly bigger than a trader joes frozen pizza), we didn't think it was worth it. They did have a refrigerated section of pre made pastas and salads that looked good. And they do sell quite a few other products (coffee, collagen powders, etc). read more

Visited for the viral birthday cake latte. The drink was 4/5, the cold foam is too thick to drink so you have to mix it it but the drink is very good and I loved the ice. The price was expensive!! $10 but that's what I expected? 3/5 with the price. I wish it was $8, that seems fair. The atmosphere was 2/5. I loved my visit to Hudson's Place! I got both a slice of thin crust pesto pizza and iced americano with cold foam. The pizza came out piping hot on the most delicious dough. The colorful, pesto topping was extremely addicting and made the pizza slice aesthetically pleasing as well. I ordered an iced americano with their vanilla cold foam. My drink was beautiful to look at and was the perfect balance of delicious cream and and coffee. The service was friendly and efficient. Despite the very long line of customers on a Saturday morning (which just speaks to how popular they are!), the staff were efficient in getting orders out. Next time, I hope to try their other cold foam flavors as well as their other pizza flavors. I appreciate that there was a small parking lot in front of the shop as well for customers. This pizza shop was impressive on many levels. The facility was clean and organized. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. And the food was fresh, vegetables, hand, cut every day, the doll hand pressed and tossed, the crust toasted to perfection on the bottom. Hudson's is such a cute spot. They are mostly a take out space serving coffee and pizza. I've tried a variety of their lattes several times. I find their lattes too watery and deficient in flavor. Honestly I was soooo excited for this place I drove 25 mins, but immediately was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. Just really not the place for me the Matcha was very earthy no creaminess to it. They were out of a lot of the add-ons. And the gelato was honestly good with the first bite without the oil and the salt until my girlfriend said let's put the salt and oil on it and oh my God it became absolutely terrible. Customer service could use a lot of improvement. There is lack of friendliness, ladies behind the counter were busy staring at the other's cell while I was waiting to place an order (while holding my little one). On top of that there is a tipping option but they won't even place a lid on top of the cup? It would also be nice if they had whipped cream. read more

I love all the food and beverages I get here every time I stop! What hindered my experience was that none of the team members had their hair back for baristas or had a hat for food preparations. There was one girl who's hair was long enough to touch a beverage if she reached over the counter. I also witnessed multiple employees drinking beverages on the floor while their peers were preparing product for a guest on the same counter. We went for gluten free pizza. ordered our pizzas and was given out drinks and baked goods. after a few minutes the manager informed me that they were out of Gluten free dough but could make our pizzas on regular dough. When I told her that wouldn't work she offered a refund. I then went to the register to get my refund and was given attitude for it. Aesthetic coffee and pizza place in Bloomfield. Very expensive coffees but they're good. I got a matcha latte with almond milk and cold foam and it was $10.50. The guy who took my order was nice. They had a fridge that had quick to go snacks and foods. Can't speak for the pizza but it looked good. They also have gelato that looked amazing. Very nice coffee place, it had a lot of grab and go options that looked good but everything here is definitely on the pricy side. I got an iced latte with vanilla syrup and it was very good. Picked up a hot honey burrata pizza for lunch. Walking in, the place seems on the smaller side with limited seating and more like a coffee shop. The crust on the pizza was really good and the hot honey added nice flavor. The toppings were even but could have had a few more. Even with the jalapenos, it wasn't that spicy, it could've been hotter. It's also on the pricey side for $27. I'd definitely try some of the other pizzas just wish it was more affordable. read more

The service here was amazing. Everybody was very helpful and helping us choose things off the menu. Or pizza came out pretty quickly. We got the hot honey Burrata pizza. The dough was really good flavorful. I wish I had a little more sauce and a little more heat. Looking forward to trying other pizzas. The Hudson Palmer is a delicious cherry lemonade. The pizza was good, had the peach with balsamic glaze. No sauce. The peaches consisted of a sliver on each slice, not enough to provide flavor with each bite. The crust was good, very flavorful. The place was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and smiled and seemed to enjoy their job. The cutest new spot! Beautiful, modern design with lots of natural light. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. I've come in here several times for coffee and have always had a great experience. Recently stopped in here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Not a lot of seating, so seemed to be more of a grab and go sort of spot. We did ask about 1 vs 2 pizzas and I will say, one was definitely enough for two hungry people. We ended up taking home half of each pizza. We tried the peaches and burrata and the New Yorker, both of which were excellent. We also opted for the Hudson Palmer drink, which was quite tasty. We learned that this tiny little gem of a pizza place purchases their pizza flour from Italy, and from that moment it was on our list of restaurants to try. We stopped in at 5 pm on a Wednesday evening because there are only 8 seats inside the restaurant and we wanted to "dine in" on our first visit. My husband and I come here almost every day for the frozen latte. There are a lot of other great drinks on the menu as well but the frozen latte is perfect for a hot summer day. The staff there is so friendly. Their pizza is also delicious. I'm very picky about pizza. In fact, there is only like 3 places I like to order pizza from and Hudson's Place is one of my top choices. If you're in the mood for something sweet, try the chocolate and pistachio croissant... but it's extremely rich so I was only able to eat one bite and had to save the rest for later. This place has a very low probability for success with its current menu and pricing. Too bad, because Bloomfield Hills needs more takeout options. I have no problem paying up for quality food...but Hudson's charges a very high premium for food that is just mediocre. A small portion of pesto pasta for $18.00? That seems like a stretch to me. Even if it was exceptional...which it's not. I'm willing to pay $25 for a pizza...if its good. $25 for an average (and small) pizza won't work for me. A note to the owner...No need for you to respond to my negative review...because I won't be back. Most people don't like to overpay for stuff. My friend and I stopped in, we each added one topping to our pizzas. I got the mushroom and truffle pizza and I added prosciutto, he got the New Yorker and added mushrooms. Mine was very good, his was just good. Between the high price point, which I get is high because you're in Bloomfield, but when you add a topping and get charged a lot for mushrooms, you expect more mushrooms than what was added. and nowhere to really sit, that's the reason for 4 stars. The sauce was good quality but had no saltiness or much flavor to it. They forgot a topping on one of the pizzas, the cheese was too heavy and the Caesar salad was packed with balsamic.
