I rarely write reviews, however, I absolutely love this children's boutique. It is my go to store for children's clothing and accessories. I discovered this store when my sister and I were pregnant with our sons. They have the cutest clothing and I absolutely love the two sisters who own the store. They have always provided excellent customer service and have always helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Sorry to say that they have zero customer service, I don't have a name to reference (I just know that she was pregnant), so I need to be general. I just tried to exchange a gift that I received which had they're logo and price tag on it and they didn't accept it claiming they need a receipt. Her reasoning was flawed comparing their store to other retailers who also need gift receipts in order to exchange items. If we do compare HUGBUG to Bloomingdale's for example, Bloomingdale's will take the item back because the item has their logo and price tag showing that the item was purchased there. She didn't even take a look to see that the item did in fact have their logo. I'm really disappointed as I was excited to shop there after seeing their Instagram and fan base but I will never step foot in there again. There are many other shops that carry the same luxury items I was going to buy for my son with friendlier sales associates. In reality it sucks for them because I had a long list of items I was going to buy for my newborn that would constitute a hefty receipt... oh well! Update: Thank you for replying but with a newborn and children in general, it's not feasible to follow this strict policy as many other negative reviewers have also mentioned. I walked into this store last Saturday and I gotta say I was blown away, I have a 17 month old son and I was so excited that I finally found a shop that has such unique clothes. I fully stocked up on his summer outfits and I will be back for more. I also noticed that there was cool baby gear and lots of unique toys, trinkets, and lovely newborn gifts. My best friend is expecting and I am so excited to pick up some gorgeous items for her daughter. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. After chatting with them I learned that they both have kids. This gave me a sense of comfort in knowing that they are moms and know the needs of children. read more

From room decor, to strollers/car seats, and of course the most stylish clothes, HUGBUG Shop has all your basis covered! Really disappointed in the customer service of this place. Went in to buy a convertible carseat but the employee seemed very annoyed that I brought my children in and really gave me NO information about the carseat whatsoever. I inquired about it and she still didn't give me any information. I wanted to compare 2 carseats but she wouldn't get the other one out for me to see it since it wasn't on display? It was in stock- just not on display. Since I planned a buying- I thought she would want to SELL me one. She also didn't want my son touching anything which is extremely hard to avoid in a baby store. That was very stressful. It is a well designed store with nice products. The girl who assisted me was extremely helpful and patient with me since it was my first time attending a gender reveal and I had no idea what to take. In regards to the owners response. Your partner or would only allow the item to be exchanged for one specific item . We were not looking for a full refund . Sorry get your facts rights . We wanted to just exchange it . Yes I understand the policy but as I explained she had just had a premature baby who she was with at the NICU and dealing with the corona virus . Given the situation the least you could have done was just let her exchange the item and buy more pieces . I understand that you guys try to give the best customer service which I usually get at your store along with threat of my family . However this time it's just shocking how given the circumstances you just would not let her exchange it . In this case everyone would have been happy . You would have made more money cause she was going to shop for other items and she would have been happy . I have been in a few times and left with exactly what I wanted. This isn't your regular children's retail experience. I love this shop, i wanted to make sure i came and shared my experience. I noticed some unhappy comments and i genuinely can't imagine why. The girls who own the shop opened it and i started shopping here, they always have unique and great quality clothes.
