Horrible. Took my truck 2 times in the same day. First they said nothing was wrong, picked it up, exact same problem again. Took it back, they kept it overnight, called mid morning next day, said it was fixed. withing the hour, same problem plus a loud wine from the same area. Had a blowout on my rear right tire, Went to a few places but they didn't have my size. I then went to Hughes and he had my tire size and was very efficient and fast. They are quick and reliable. I can't say enough good things about Hughes Bros. They are honest, dependable, and do a great job. I had to have my car towed in for (what I thought was) a (very expensive) alternator issue. Turns out it needed a new belt -- a much less expensive fix. The car was ready in a day (they had to order the parts). They are also very nice to deal with and always kept me informed of the status of the repair. read more

We were on a family vacation, the last one before our daughter went off to college. We were heading to a tour that my daughter really wanted to get to and our car picked up crap on the road and the tire pressure dropped quickly. We barely made it to the shop, the owner was there, talking with customers and just being nice. We shared some war stories as we were both prior enlisted, him Air Force, me Army. Regardless, me and my girls went to get on the road, as I pulled out my card, he said it was on the house. It was a great experience! Highly recommend! read more

Super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Excellent, prompt service of what I needed with no attempt to upsell. My hosts at C. W. Worth Bed and Breakfast ( also Excellent!) recommended Hughes. I am from out of town and got a bolt in my tire. I was thinking I would need to replace 2 tires or possibly 4 due to all wheel drive. John took my tire off and evaluated it and was able to completely repair my tire! $32 instead of $200 x 1-4 tires! He didn't even try to sell me a new tire. When I asked if I should just replace it to be safe since I am on an extended road-trip, he assured me the repair would last the regular life of the tire like the others. Very honest and so helpful. I have been here often (over 18 years) and, I have to say it's always been a very positive experience for me. I wasn't Yelping at the time, so this happens to be my first check-in! I'm really surprised at the low stars...This place is GREAT!! They are honest, trustworthy, and thorough- explain everything very well also! This is especially important as a woman....even though I know more about cars and repairs because of my Pop...I am glad he made me learn things and still teaches me. (Unbelievably, I have had to show some of my girlfriends how to pump gas...I think that's just a travesty)!! Special thanks and a huge shout out to Joe and Mike...y'all are the best!! Hugs! I've switched to Hughes Brothers in the last year (for 5 years I had gone to several other shops in town that were either very high priced or didn't know what they were doing) and I'm now very satisfied with bringing both of my cars here! Routine work is handled quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable price. The trickier problems I've brought them they are honest about - they've either given me an accurate repair estimate and the work was done on time or if they can't handle it, they tell me right up front without wasting my time. The most recent problem - I washed my car and got water into the engine and the car was sputtering. The diagnostics showed that a part had failed - they decided to let it dry out overnight and did some extra work by putting heat on the part and wow - the car worked again without a major expense! The average shop would have just replaced that $200 part plus labor to get the extra money. These guys are very honest! Thank you Hughes for always helping me out! read more

My car had caught a flat on the front passenger side and I went to Hugh's brothers on market street to get the tire patched up. They proceeded to tell me that my tire pressure sensors were corroded and they needed to be replaced. Thank goodness I had my boyfriend with my because he said he would just buy the original sensors for our car and repeated to them to just patch up the front passenger tire. We get the keys back, pay and start to drive off. As we go up the street my boyfriend realizes they fixed the front driver tire and not the front passengers so we take it back they fix the front passenger tire and takes that sensor out also. The next day we wake up to leave to go on a trip and the front passenger tire is flat again!! My boyfriend took the car to another repair shop and they fixed it and also told up that the sensors were fine and their was no reason for them to be taken out and now that their out it will cost $200 to fix. Long story short Hugh's Brothers Inc did nothing we asked them to do and tried to get up to spend more money with them for absolutely no reason. read more

These guys were great to work with. I only had a small problem, a roofing nail in a brand new tire, less than 500 miles on the set. I was told that it could not be repaired but they said not so! I went in and they asked me to please come back the next morning as they were currently overwhelmed and my wait would be forever! I went back at 7:30 the next morning and was on my way in less than a half hour! I will be going back here for future auto needs! read more

Customer for 20+ years as was my father. No more. College Road location tried to sell me an oil pan stating the drain plug had been stripped. Problem is they had been changing the oil since I had the car! If it got stripped, they did it. Not the same quality of service anymore. Totally done. Found an honest company. Never going back. Will never go here. I called 20 min before arriving and they said that I can bring my car in for vehical inspection. I arrived and they told me the guys already left. Their excuse was the guys live across the river. Dont understand if your scheduled till certain time you just get to leave whatever time you want? Especially after I called and said im on my way in. ABSOLUTELY NO APOLOGIES...WONT ever step foot in this place! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was forced to put my 1 star in order to continue...I personally give them 0 stars! read more
