I stopped here after reading such positive reviews about their service. I thought it would be a brief visit as I just had a slow leak and wanted it patched. It was a bit more serious and I needed a new tire. Steve Huffman quoted me an hour wait. He was professional, friendly and efficient. There turned out to be a complication with the delivery so I ended up meeting the General Manager who apologized and proactively offered me some compensation. What impressive customer service!!! I am very disappointed in the service we received from you. We brought our vehicle in to be fix with some possible brake issues. You claimed that all the brakes and rotors had to be replaced for$2500 dollars .The vehicle had the same problem two weeks after the repair brought it back and they wanted another $1800 dollars.I took the vehicle to someone else and they told me that Wilmington Tire totally missed diagnosed the problem and the repairs they did where unnecessary and did not solve the problems. Everything starting with honesty. I've been there twice First time they didn't do what they said they did my neighbor a man. Checked. They charged me for cables that were not changed. Oil light cam on 3 months. I very rarely drive my car it almost a 3000$ charge. They said sometimes when two people are working on a car one thinks the other one did something and then it gets. It doesn't get done so they need to check their people in the work that they're doing the second time I went up there to get my car inspected and of course the oil changed and they did it and I said what did it really need it he goes. Oh yeah for sure. I don't even drive my car. I don't even drive my car 1000 Miles in four months five months so it did not need to be changed and then they were telling me that the my inspection didn't pass because of the my struts they were all rusted out and just had to be replaced and they had a picture of it and of course I've never seen a strut. I didn't know what was going on so I was like well if it needs to be fixed, it needs to be fixed so again I took it to my neighbor and he said it looks like they poured oil on the strut to make it look like there was something you know not right about it so my son took my car out of town then when he came back I needed it still needed to get inspected so I went to Valvoline on Oleander Drive. They are absolutely wonderful and I got my car inspected just like that 10 minutes. My struts are not messed up. He said there was nothing wrong on the car. My wheels are not gonna come off so do not please do not go to Wilmington tire and auto. I've given them two chances and both times they rip me off and I still the $3000 charge was they would not they would not work with that so that's why I'm here just please do not go to Wilmington tire and auto on Oleander Drive. He said not only was the strut not leaking but it never had. Took up the street to Valvoline for another inspection. Passed no problem. If you just have a tire issue, ok but never ever trust them to do any repair work. There are plenty of honest places in town. read more

Wilmington Tire and Auto are a great place to take your car to be serviced. they are upfront and explain everything to you. Jim Rost the manager is who personally makes the experience exceptional. He takes ownership of all questions and possible issues and takes the time to educate customers with regard to needed services and preventative maintenance. I took my car in for an oil change and as it's a new car they did not have my oil filter on hand. Instead of rescheduling, he informed me of the situation and was able to obtain one in less than one hour. Setting customers' expectations regarding time and cost is very important to me. Needed tires in a bad way, these guys were able to set me up with what I needed. I had specifics to get something in the all season, mid range area. After several options we found one that would work that I could get the very next day. The install was quicker than expected and estimated. The staff even went and found what I needed after the delivery was late. He point here is they did not waste my time in any way, and that's huge to me. GREAT SERVICE! They said 45 minutes to replace two front tires. Exactly 45 minutes later, I was driving away with two new tires at a reasonable price. I was referred to Wilmington Tire and Auto by a co-worker and I am very thankful . I take my Ford Ranger for routine maintenance and also a Ford e-350 Camper Van to Wilmington Tire and Auto. I am beyond happy with their service. I have since referred a friend to them and she is very pleased with the new alternator that was installed on a Saturday when most shops are closed. I have two air conditioners in the camper and I had a leak from battery cable rubbing a hole in the freon line. A difficult problem to have. These guys diagnosed the issue , replaced hard to find parts and ordered specialty tools to fix the problem in a timely fashion. He worked up a bid for a set of Michelin Premier XLTs, which included alignment and balancing. Made an appointment and dropped the car. The car was done within an hour and the bill was $200 less as the car did not need alignment. That level of honesty is appreciated. The facility is clean and tidy. Free lifetime tire rotations too. Made an appointment via phone for an 8 am oil change. Employees were courteous and welcoming when I entered the office. I sat in the clean waiting room watching HGTV and there were numerous magazine to read while waiting for my car to be ready. 40 minutes later, my car was done and there was no upsell or recommendation for additional services that usually comes with a simple oil change. As a woman, I really appreciate the honesty of the staff at Wilmington Tire and Auto. I knew my car was fine (just had it totally checked out in LA 4 months earlier before our cross-country trek) and was holding my breath when it was time to pay. It was a relief that this business was honest and provided a service without feeling that they had to sell me an air filter or .... Called and asked for oil change quote, he said "$21" so I scheduled appt. Morning of appt I called to see if they could squeeze in an inspection and they said yes since I was dropping car off. Appt was at 11, I hadn't heard anything by 3 so I called and they said car was ready (thanks for the call ). I get there and my bill was $72. Inspection $30 and oil change $21 does not equal $71 especially after he said "oh I threw in a coupon". So my oil change was $48 after i'd been quoted $21. They didn't notify me of that. They didn't notify me my car was ready either. And the oil change sticker was under the drivers seat... not on windshield where it belongs .. thought it was garbage and almost threw it out. And at $48 for an oil change you'd think a quick vacuum would be nice but nope. Not here. So I won't be going there again. Plenty of other shops in town who don't use deceit to get you in the door. read more

Hurricane Isaias knocked a heat shield loose under my car. Which created a really annoying grinding and vibration noise. Called Wilmington Tire and Auto thinking I would have to schedule an appointment to have a technician check it out. Nope, Josh said, "bring it over and we'll get it on a lift quick and check it out". Wow. Upon arrival the staff in the reception area were all friendly and helpful. The shop was really crowded. I was glad I brought a book as it looked like I might be there a while. Nope, 10 minutes later a technician walks in the shop carrying a heat shield. The tech said the washers holding down the shield were pulled right through the shield so he couldn't reattach it. Oh well annoying noise gone and I can order the part and have it replaced. When I went to check out I was told; "hey no charge, he just had to pull the shield off and it only took a minute". I stopped in at Wilmington Tire & auto too see if they could help me out on short notice. I drive a Yukon with 24" wheels so the tire size is not common and they didn't have the size in stock but the owner went above and beyond and made a trip to his tire distributor to get me that tire I needed.
