All the children in attendance were thrilled to get a special balloon created by Buster and then step to their right and have their faces transformed by Andrea. Buster and Andrea are a great team, detail oriented, super attitudes and the patience of saints. They love kids and kids love them. The duo always have smiles planted on their faces and positive energy. Their talents are beyond your imagination and add that "something special" to any party/event. The owner and staff were super welcoming and walked us through all their offerings, which made the experience even better. We kicked things off with a cider flight--our favorites were Early Harvest and Graveyard. Early Harvest was simple, crisp, and just sweet enough, while Graveyard reminded me of a Scottish smoky cider aged in whiskey barrels. I do wish there were a few more sweet options overall and possibly a current up to date list of what's on tap somewhere online, but everything was well-crafted and flavorful! To cool off, we grabbed a cider slushy (highly recommend!) and wandered the property. We visited the goats, strolled through the apple trees, and made friends with their big fluffy Pyrenees who was living his best life napping in the shade. I picked up a bottle of Early Harvest and a t-shirt to bring back to DFW. It was the perfect stop--relaxed, local, and a great way to start the afternoon before heading into Yosemite. After our tasting, we walked through some of the apple trees, visited the cutest goats, and made friends with their big, lazy Pyrenees dog who was living his best life soaking up attention. Every song brings back fond memories of when life was all about having fun and socializing. I still remember some of the dances we used to do. I think I can still do them too! (But not as vigorously). I listen to this station as often as I can, but since it is located in Stockton, tuning in without static sometimes ruins the mood. But I still have this station preset into my car radio! And I will continue to listen no matter what! (Note: I thought this radio station was located in Stockton, but it appears the address has been changed to the city of Modesto).

Our funeral…read morehome director connected us with Dr. Pazo as I requested a bagpipe player at the graveside portion of my mother's funeral this August. Mom (and I) have Scottish heritage and she grew up with her Scottish Dad singing Highland songs to her and in turn sang them to me. So it would be an understatement to say this music was a very important component of Mom's funeral service. Dr. Pazo phoned me beforehand to get a sense of what the service would be like and what our musical requests were. He was compassionate, kind, and efficient at a time when I was in shock from my mom's death but needed to call on my executive functioning skills for funeral planning. Definitely a challenging time but I was so relieved that the bagpipes would be played at my mom's funeral. When the day arrived it was an incredibly moving and powerful experience to arrive at the graveside and see Dr. Pazo in his full regalia and hear the haunting sound of the resonant bagpipes which filled the air. The bagpipes and the beautiful songs Dr. Pazo played gave a weight and power, a somber honor to my mother's life that I and my family will always remember. We grateful for Dr. Pazo's artistry, empathy, and power as he played the bagpipes. Some time after mom's funeral I watched Queen Elizabeth's funeral. When I heard and saw the bagpipe procession, I said, "I think we had a better bagpipe player at mom's funeral." That's how great Dr. Pazo is!
