I really love hu hot Mongolian grill and their selection of meats, veges, oils, and sauces, all cooked in front of you on a big grill. Very flavorful and all you can eat

The food is pretty good, but it really depends on who is working. Ive gone a few time, and it's never consistent.

Pretty decent food. Your instructed to fill one bowl at a time (there is even a sign to direct you to do so), but I noticed most diners immediately filled a bowl with protein sand a second bowl with veggies and sauces. Be sure to look at the recipes online for the most ideas on what sauces to pair. My challenge with this place is that the buffet for selecting protein and veg can get pretty messy as diners drop items. Same with sauces. And the line gets so long that it wraps into the buffet area and log jams. I wish they would have thought traffic placement out a bit better. They good is as healthy as you want it...or not. Plenty of noodles, rice, meats, seafood egg, tofu, beef, and sauces. There is a station to stop after cooking for sriracha, crunchy toppings, sesame seeds, and chopstick. Staff might have been a bit short handed the night we were there as it was hard to find our server at times. But we will be back as friends really like it before going to Hale Center Theater.

I'm always a fan of unique dining experiences, so when I had the opportunity to visit HuHot Mongolian Grill, I was excited to check it out. We were quickly seated and given instruction from our server who took drink orders and asked if we wanted appetizers. We ordered the egg drop soup, which we later decided we would not do again. It tasted like canned chicken noodle soup-not very good at all. Then we went up to the buffet where we selected our base-noodles or rice. Then heap on the meat and veggies. Finally, you end up at the sauce station, where you drizzle different sauces over your concoction. This area was messy-lots of dripped sauces everywhere. I'm not sure how they could avoid that, but it was a little off-putting to see such a mess. After you gather your food, you hand it over to a chef who cooks it on a flat surface grill. It's fun to watch-there are utensils being tossed in the air, fast moving people and different orders being tracked by some unseen system that proved to be accurate-everyone got the right food handed back to them. The buffet is all you can eat, so you can enjoy lots of great food for one price. It's fun to experiment with different toppings and see what things you like. I can imagine that during a busy time, it could take awhile to get your food, but it's fun to watch it be cooked, so I view that as dinner and a show!

Environment: Lots of seating and pretty open for big party's. I went at lunch and it wasnt super busy. The pricing is pretty reasonable for 15 all you can eat is not bad deal for what you are getting!. There services was good and everyone was really friendly. I would say that the counter were kinda dirty and maybe should be cleaned a litte bit more often but I understand it gets busy and it is buffet style. Food: For starters this Mongolian bbq place does have lots of options. But the meat isn't great quality at all and there are not tons of protein options that seem fresh. But they do have tons of vegetables and sauce options to go with everything. I would say this place was very mediocre Mongolian bbq but for 15 all you can eat not bad and definitely filling. Always cooked perfectly and the staff is always nice and helpful. But over all the food was just okay nothing too special but if you are looking to bring a big group somewhere where you can have all you can eat for a reasonable price this is a great place to go. But if you're looking for good quality I would say this place lacks that. Personally I tried the beef, chicken, and pork and like I said it was just okay in quality but the quantity was still there.

Leftover sauce from the day before

We were the first customers on a Saturday. This is what the meat looked like. It looked like it was left out all night sitting in its own slime and juices. The veggies weren't much better. They were obviously left over from yesterday, slimy, brown, and disgusting. The sauces were the worst. Because we were the first ones in, we knew the pieces of food in the sauce vats were leftover from last night (or longer!) We should have gone somewhere else. Absolutely disgusting!

A downhill establishment. Once upon a time the food was fresh and you knew the meal was high quality. I don't think I'll ever visit again.

For starters, we ordered the Wor Wonton Soup. The broth was rich and hearty. The shrimps were large and plentiful. All the vegetables blended in with the flavors. I just wish the beef was a little more tender. A little marinade in baking soda would fix this. We ordered some chicken lettuce wraps. This has minced chicken, celery, bamboo shoots, and carrots. These are good by themselves but are best with hoisin sauce. I just wish the lettuce leaves were bigger. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was also good. The sauce had a nice blend of mayo, honey and lemon. It had a little too much breading for me but still tasted good. For $16.99, I wished there was a bit more shrimp. One thing I really appreciate - they GLAZE the walnuts! This is one of the few places that I actually like the sauce and they glaze the walnuts! The Crispy Beef is definitely my favorite. In fact, I think this is better than the one I get from Red Maple. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of heat. Again, I really wish they would marinate the beef in baking soda to soften it up. The last dish we ordered was the Garlic Chicken. The server forgot to put the order in for this dish and there was a rush to get it out to us. They forgot to put garlic in this dish so wee sent it back. It was perfect when it came back. This place is fast becoming our go-to-place for Chinese Food. It's was a nice surprise and I'll can't wait to try the other dishes!

Our longtime favorite -- worth the drive every time!…read more We've been going to Joy Luck for several years now, and truly, it never disappoints. It's hands-down the best Chinese food in the area. We happily make the trek out to Sandy just for this place, and whenever we have a show at Hale Centre Theatre, Joy Luck is our pre-show tradition. This visit was no different: no wait, quick seating, and incredibly fast service -- which is a lifesaver when you're trying not to be late for curtain time. We started with the deep-fried cream cheese wontons, perfectly crisp with a delicious sweet-and-sour dipping sauce. (Confession: I sometimes pour a little of that sauce over my rice instead of soy -- it adds the best hint of sweetness!) We each got soup as well: hot & sour for my partner and egg drop for me. Their egg drop soup is the best I've ever had. Sometimes I crave it and stop by just for a bowl. For mains, we ordered the black pepper steak and the cantonese noodles with chicken. As expected, everything was flavorful, saucy, and served in generous portions. You absolutely get your money's worth here. One thing I love is their huge menu -- so many options, and everything we've tried over the years has been great. I'm also a big fan of their combination dinners where you get an entrée, soup, rice, eggroll, and fried shimp. Perfect if you want your own complete plate, but also easy to mix, match, and share if you're going family-style. Joy Luck has been consistently wonderful for years: friendly staff, fast service, big portions, and truly delicious food. We'll keep coming back -- pre-show or not!

The look of the restaurant inside has changed a few times. when I was there last there was a casual seating area at the back of the restaurant. There were people there waiting for takeout orders. I really enjoyed the great chow mein with the beef. Next time I might try it with chicken or pork because the beef was a little hard to chew for my liking. The noodles tasted delicious and flavorful. I always have to order the cold cucumber salad. It is a great accompaniment to any dish. I added the peanuts to the cucumbers because I really like them together so if you order the cucumbers, they will not come with peanuts. It is a strange request, but they accommodated me with no problem. They had a case at the front of the restaurant with grapes and strawberries, skewered and coated in a crunchy sugary coating. It was a little bit messy, but I did not mind because it tasted so good. The strawberries were super sweet, fresh and juicy with a thin, sweet crunchy shell. I will try the grapes next time. We ordered: Fried rice - the corn in the fried rice tasted almost spoiled Beef brocoli - the beef was tender but not as tasty or fresh Garlic ribs - cut into small portions was not what I expected and a little dry Only great was the service and those fruit on a stick in the glass counter.
