The hot pot, orange chicken, and chicken wings were really good. A few of the deserts were good, but I did not like the ice cream. Sushi was alright. It wasn't too expensive but it wasn't super good. Came here after church because a family member invited us for lunch. When we arrived, there was a line packed almost to the door, which honestly seemed like it could be a safety concern. We waited with our family and were eventually guided all the way to the back of the restaurant. As we walked to our seats, we noticed the lighting was dim and the place looked old and run-down. The lady who seated us seemed tired and wasn't very friendly, and the chairs at our table were mismatched, adding to the overall uncomfortable atmosphere. When it came time to get our food, things got even more concerning. The food looked like it had been sitting out for a while, and there were no labels to indicate what anything was and not even the type of meat. This made it really hard to know what we were eating. I didn't end up trying any of the food because the way it was handled looked unsanitary and unsafe. The food display was unappealing, and the workers didn't seem to follow proper food safety practices. At one point, a worker was sweeping the floor right around our table while we were eating, which was very off-putting. Overall, I would have given a better review if the food and cleanliness were up to standard, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and try a different buffet if you're visiting Utah. read more

We found an excellent variety of food was offered, the food quality and taste were very good. The wait staff was attentive and helpful.

At first I didn't know what to expect. We walked in, paid, and sat ourselves. That was the first indicator this place was awful. Second the time it took to get our drinks, we finished eating. I should've asked for a refund. Then, while walking around a lady opened a cooler door, and that's when I knew. The smell, it was rancid FISH! I mean it wreaked! I couldn't get the smell out of my nose. Then while sitting I saw the teppenyaki place, the lady, wore one pair of gloves. She touched the food with the gloves (raw) touched the handles that the customers used, touched everything. Did not once change them. This health code violation is of the utmost concern for me. People could get sick, people could die from food poisoning. I am absolutely horrified. I will not be back, and I will tell everyone I know. I am about to call the health department because this is so disgusting. read more

So many regrets. About what you'd expect from a buffet. A lot of ok food. The sushi was ok.the Mongolian grill was ok but my husband kept getting something in his mouth that tasted like sandpaper. Even our kids were unimpressed. Also, my daughter saw a lady move the tongs, pick up a piece of fried chicken with her hands. And PUT IT BACK. Now I feel bloated and longing for something satisfying. For a family of 4, take your $70 for dinner and get a good meal with normal sized portions. The servers were very nice and kept our glasses full and plates cleared. read more

Wow I'm old. the price was ok was not too bad for lunch they had plenty of places to sit so don't think they won't have any room. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was pretty good I was looking for some items they didn't have but it was ok. The floor was a little sticky and I am not sure why. When you're not sitting it's hot in the building. The hibachi grill is delicious and they cooked quick. The crab meat with cheese tasted off. I ended up spitting it out and taking it off my plate. The server was great and attentive. Paradise Buffet has decent prices and decent food. Their weekend lunch options offer more variety than their weekday lunch options. The same goes for the weekend dinner to weekday dinner options. I dined on Saturday during lunch. They had tasty hot wings, which came and went by quickly. Their mac'n cheese was creamy but bland. I also tried their chopped sausage, which was good. The egg foo young was bland, but good with the gravy. Their orange chicken was crispy but needed a bit more sauce. I'd recommend their chicken and shrimp dish. It hardly has shrimp but has a kung pao chicken-like texture and sauce. Their dumplings, noodles, and sautéed mushrooms were good as well. I liked their sushi, but it was nothing outstanding. Overall, it's mass-produced food at a great price. Don't expect Michelin star or high-end restaurant quality food. Paradise is very nice! This place has seen a remodel since my last visit 6 or 7 years ago. One thing I like about this and many other Asian buffets is that the drinks are not included. Good old water it is. The first thing I spied was the sushi station. Two chefs were turning out various rolls and nigiri. Some rolls had raw fish, some had cooked ingredients. The quality was on the same level as the various half of sushi joints around town. Oh and feel free to throw these guys a buck or two in the tip jar. Next I tried some of the stir fried dishes. All were good and I appreciate that they are cooked right behind the line. I haven't done a Mongolian grill in a while. This one had your traditional ingredients cooked before your eyes. While my creation was not bad I found it to be very filling and not overly flavorful. Maybe I didn't use the right combo of sauces? I didn't try the desert station or salad bar. They looked good but I was too full. The best thing about this buffet? The cleanliness! While the food was ok I really was impressed by how clean everything was. I liked this place when it was Chinese Gourmet and now with the new name and remodel, I love it. This is the best buffet in SLC. They offer a wide variety of food in the buffet. The food is always good and temperature hot. The Mongolian grill is really good. The sushi bar is the best. The desserts bar have great selection of ice cream, topping, cookies, cake and fruits. For drinks they offer all the normal sodas plus horchata and coffee. Living in Colorado I have to paid $18 for a roll of Rainbow sushi, while in this buffet that is included in the price. On my last lunch visit I paid $13 for me and $5 for my daughter. The staff is friendly and efficient. read more

As far as lunch buffets go this place is pretty good. It's a matter of quantity over quality for sure. For the price they have a lot of options. The food quality is kind of what you would expect at a buffet - sort of mediocre, but there is plenty of it. The wide variety of options at the dessert bar was pretty cool. Paradise Buffet has a huge selection of food to choose from. They have Chinese food, Mongolian Grill, and Sushi as well as pizza, roast beef, mashed potatoes, Italian sausage with peppers and onions, meat loaf, ribs, Mac n cheese, Mexican food, etc. Everything tasted really good, but it was not very warm or hot. They also have a great dessert selection and the employees were all friendly except for one girl at the cash register we paid to when we arrived, she was not friendly at all. For the most part, I would recommend Paradise Buffet. Good food at a decent price. read more
