I was the driver for this elderly woman, who is also in a wheelchair. In addition, I recently had shoulder surgery so operating with one arm, the other in a large sling. We arrived 9 minutes late, for an early morning appt, there were no other people in the waiting room, not even one. She simply said Doctor can't fit you in today he's very busy. You are 10 minutes late. At first I thought she was joking, due to that fact that we were the only ones in the waiting room. But she said no, you must reschedule. Absolutely ZERO compassion for this woman or what it takes to get to her to appointments. I apologized for being late, and asked if she could please try to fit her in. No. We will not be going back to this office and I would NOT recommend them.

They had already checked on my insurance coverage, which takes a load off our minds right away. The optometrist, was amazing, and friendly! I could tell when I walked in people feel comfortable and cared for there. She took a full hour with me and explained different procedures with me, such as cataracts, contacts, bi- focals, eyelid correction& answered all my questions! Coming from a background where my brother Dr Dale Van Dyke, was always our family optometrist! I had moved back to Grandville and he was retired, so I tried the fast paced eye care places,like RX OPTICAL, etc...only to find rushed , and assembly line care. Strike 1 - Prescription was printed wrong, had to be corrected…read more Strike 2 - prescription was actually wrong - lenses were unusable. Strike 3 - Only one-year RX - was told it would be 2 years. Strike 4 - Was told it is against Federal Law to give 2-year prescription - but I am a retired lawyer who once represented several optical companies and I know better. Strike 5 - When I asked "what specific Federal Law is that ...?" the manager got testy and said "You have to leave now." So I got tossed out for calling her bluff. Crazy. Result - I had a proper and correct eye exam at another store and purchased glasses that work as they should.

Also, no one calls to let someone know that their glasses were re made? Plus, what does that mean? Another two weeks? I would think that if it is true, the glasses should be expedited. I bet if I only paid half up front and the other half on delivery this would not happen. This is terrible customer service. I will never buy glasses from here again. And I have it now. Why send it back too? So after giving back both new contacts. I waited a few weeks went by. So I called as to when my contacts will be back. The front desk person looked up my account. Maria never put any notes in on them. So the desk person went to look in my file. Maria NEVER SENT THEM OUT! They sat there the whole time. So now they sent them out. So later I got the L eye contact back, but NOT THE R EYE. Which NEVER SHOULD HAVE GONE OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE! So now I'm waiting and waiting for the good contact to come back to me. Days have gone by. I keep calling them every day. This place is so F up!! I said, why don't you JUST CALL THE MANUFACTURER????? Still waiting.
