Worse service... no food service...one waitress two bartenders and full house....DJ didn't announce new year ....staff are like twickers

It was definitely an experience Pros The security was super nice walked me and my girlfriend back to our car to get something out of my purse. Music was pretty good. The owner was also pretty awesome he let us take pictures in his old school rolls royce. Cons the liquor was warm unless you asked to get it iced. They only take cash. Our group was the only group that actually dressed up like the 80's. I thought it was an 80's club it would have been fun to see more people dressed up. They're biggest flaw however was the creepy middle aged guy wearing sunglasses all night kept going around trying to photo bomb photos by attempting to kiss girls cheeks and he kept asking everyone for HEROINE. This guy is actually the reason our group left a little early. He just wouldn't leave us alone. In my opinion this bar would have been super legit if one they got rid of the creepy guy. I can deal with warm liquor and cash only but when i have to be fighting off a creepy junky all night it tends to kill the fun. read more

The place is a dive bar drinks are descent and fairly priced. The place is not decorated nicely but what do you expect from a dive bar. Food sucked. But best of all was the MUSIC! GREAT 80's! read more

Amazing place had a blast good music and vibe. I know it's 80's but place needs to have a credit machine so u can purchase drinks without having to go to the atm machine to take out money and be charged 3 bucks. This place is dirty. The outside area is a chained link fence that's in the back where the parking lot is. Tore up seats and holes in the walls. Video taped music videos from vh1 classic plays in silent over and over again. I saw an Asian hooker there and people inches away form having sex on the dance floor. It's just a mess. I went here about 2-3 times; small place that's split into "two bars." On one night there was "death metal" ( my side of the bar hehe) and near the front bar, was 80's night. I thought it was cool seeing the disparate crowd passing each other when goin down that cool, dark, narrow hall! 80's thrash metal night mixed with cheesy 80's New Wave night LOL! The last times I went I haven't seen the metal nights which I miss; hopefully they'll bring them back or at least "Goth night." There's already a "New Wave Bar" 20 minutes away in Bellflower. Keep Downey "Metal" like the good ol' days like when Slayer used to roam the streets and before the cholos from South Gate infected the area! read more

I love this place!!! I've been coming here for years as im a huge 80's fan! The place has become run down over the last couple of years, but the music, people, and drinks never disappoint! You also can't beat the $5 entry before 9:30pm or the free parking! If you want to go to downtown LA and mess with all the traffic and high priced parking, drinks, entry, then this is not the place for you! This really is a hidden gem in Downey! read more

if you're a single guy, that's not too picky, and like alternative, but not really "indie" 80s music, this is the place for you. if you go on a saturday night before 9:30 it's $5, which really is nothing. The place isnt a complete dive, i've seen much worse, but it's not a nice club. it basically just looks like a standard bar with two rooms. the single ladies always out number the single guys, but most of them arent that cute. however, the few cute girls that are there, are always in groups of just two or three, so it's a great place for two single guys to go to meet girls and dance. drinks really arent that over priced for a club, and a little more expensive than a standard bar. read more

Pretty crappy place. Their advertising is a total lie. I mean, the location itself is pretty iffy too. The DJ's in both rooms tended to play dark 80's pop (i.e. Duran Duran, Depeche, The Smiths etc.) and sometimes they decided to play it twice. I mean, if you're in one of those moods where you don't really care where to go, and you don't wanna handle the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, and you happen to live in the area, and all you wanna do is kind of dance carelessly and get as wasted as possible so you don't care where you're at, then I suggest to come to Club Addiction at the Hully Gully. Other than that, I'd suggest to go to Bang, Clockwork or Beat It on the weekends. It's a much funner atmosphere. At Club Addiction, it's kind of dead and you're probably gonna get an STD on the bathroom door handle. read more

My husband and I are in our 50's and had a great time! Love hearing Depeche Mode, Falco, Duran Duran and more. Wish we had a club like this in Washington! If you are our age do not hesitate to go and dance to the songs we loved back in the day. read more

I think it's really screwed that they charge a cover charge but do not post ot inform patrons that it's a cash only establishment. We paid only to have to literally walk right back out because we don't carry much cash and I refuse to spend $5-6 in foreign atm charges to further line their pockets. Good stop if you don;t want to drive far and live nearby. Music is awesome... nothing but 80s (like the Cure) and 80's Spanish Rock from vinyl records all night. No dress code here. Go in your pjs if you want. Cool place to hang out, but not to pick up, unless you plan on having tons of drinks and don't care who you go home with. I came on a Friday it was really empty at 10 except there was a random old man dancing. Charge was $10. All the tables were reserved so we got the "cool kids table" all the way in the back to drink our dranks (there was a large party coming in ). The back room was more fun because of the variety of songs. The place itself is blah but u can make it fun there's a pool table, they sell appetizers n such. The place is ran by oldsters n I think there's apartments on top if that makes a difference lol ill come back if im desperate. read more

This place was closed down for a while and I have no idea why because it couldn't have possibly been for renovations. We came on a Saturday night for their 80's and Rock en Español night...apparently the DJ's have a playlist that they continually replay throughout the night because they played the same songs over and over. Their drinks and food aren't inexpensive so that isn't even an incentive to frequent this establishment AND there's a $10 cover charge. I recommend you go to the 80's spot in Fullerton, the drinks are comparable and the music is awesome. Be warned that the back dance floor is like dancing in a sauna since there's no AC back there and only one fan. Oh and the security guy makes you walk ALL the way around the parking lot unnecessarily. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Over the years this has become one of my favorite spots to come dance at simply because here you can be yourself, dressy or comfy no one really cares. I only came here for my friend's 50th birthday party for the first time ever and more likely the last . The dj kept playing the same songs over and over again. I finally got to last night after hearing so much about it & it was worth the drive from Woodland Hills. The music & the crowd was great. Even though it was packed there wasn't any pushing or shoving & dudes trippin' like other places. I enjoyed seeing people within my age group! The drinks are priced very reasonable. I liked it even more because the bathroom was well maintained. Lol. A huge plus! Since we don't have anything like this place out in the 818 I will definitely be back at least twice a month. Yesterday sat. 7-2-16 my husband and I decide to go there (hully gully) after some time that we hadn't gone. Different people now regarding music taste. We wanted to check it out because in room 1 it's 80's and room 2 Spanish rock, that's the room that I was dissapointment with, because in the flyer it says Spanish rock and the DJ was spinning disco in that room as well. The people there was a mixture of confuse hommies... Lol dancing to disco, 80's, some rock and stuck up people (fresas) and older people around their 50's n older. If anybody is looking for a great Spanish rock club go to 'Negro Cosmimo' or 'La Casa del Cuervo, they play Spanish & English rock, 80's, ska. industrial ecetera ........ read more
