It's come to my attention that Stephanie Ramirez aka Mac. Is no longer employed at blvd cocktails. This news saddens me because this place was a great establishment where someone could get a drink with a bar tender who lifted your spirits and just felt like family. Mac ran circles around any of the bar tenders on the roster and brought that extra special something you can't just find in any bar tender. It's like she was meant to do this for a living and just made your visit so much more than just a beer at a dive bar. I enjoy blvd cocktails and have nothing bad to say about the establishment however I'll be going else where for my drinks. Bars are a dime a dozen and I don't frequent the bars I go to for the drinks but for the bartenders serving the drinks. Anyone can pour you a drink it's special when they have that extra that makes you look forward to come back next week and the next to chat and catch up with them. Sadly good bye blvd cocktails. It was a great time. But I don't feel like anyone has that special quality there and there are plenty of bars to go to. I'll save my hard earned money for a bartender I like. Peace . Sad to see the establishment get rid of quality bartenders who have built a standing with the community. In regards to your response dusty I didn't trash your establishment and ur right I'll give you 3 stars. I never said anything bad about your bar. So if you feel like I did that's just too bad. Seems like you have issues you need to work out. Instead of saying my review makes no sense. What went on is none of my business. But do proceed to air out "dirty laundry over the internet" I'm sure the skeletons in your closet will emerge as well. Your hostile approach to a review really shows me a different side of you. It's a nice neighborhood bar With only one door as the front entrance if I didn't know, it was a bar or if it didn't say Boulevard cocktails above the threshold, I wouldn't know it. It's a bar. There's nothing special here, the vibe is for older crowds during the day and in the early evenings. She was talking to someone else as she is trying to listen to my question. My review here is waaaay over due. Coming here you always feel welcomed. I appreciate the owner not tolerating any BS in his bar. Before COVID this was my spot to catch the Dodgers game over some nice cold & believe it or not good a$$ Micheladas. Nothing special or fancy about them but they're simply good, always made just right & doesn't make you feel all bloated. And bring in my own menudo or ceviche along on Sundays during football season to catch a few games. You can't beat the ambience and the fact that you are not paying for over priced drinks & beer. The bartenders are always friendly & attentative. ALSO! When do you ever go to a bar & sometimes find that somebody made a pot of pozole or tamales and everyone is welcome to food for free! Blvds Paramount is definitely the quintessential neighborhood bar and I love it. I'm not from Paramount but I consider this my local bar and have been coming here for the past several years. It's got a good mix of everything - awesome staff, good diverse company, great music (especially karaoke weekends with Ms. B Royal), pool table, plenty of parking, freaking amazing prices, and most importantly - great drinks. One thing staff can't control - the singing abilities of some of those that sing their heart out on karaoke. God bless them, I'm sure there's a special person out there that loves it. No amount of alcohol will make them sound like Beyonce but hey, we'll be here to cheer them on. It's always a good vibe here and I've met folks from all different backgrounds and generations. Nice, small hole in the wall suggested by one of my coworkers. She frequents this place and has friends who dj the karaoke. I've been here three times now with coworkers. I must say...the music, dancing, and singing part is the funnest. Dj's are awesome and love to have fun with our crazy crew. Drinks aren't the best, though. My favorite 2 drinks made from these bartenders never taste like they do elsewhere. But...who can beat the decent prices?! Been coming to this bar for a few years now and I always have a great time. There are a few reasons why I keep coming back... for starters, great drinks, great atmosphere, happy hour during the week and karaoke with Ms. B Royal on the weekends which can be quite hilarious at times. The staff from the bartenders to security are always so welcoming and professional. They always make me feel safe and are on top of their game when it comes to security concerns and making sure their patrons get home safe whether its cutting them off or making sure they don't drive home. The vibe in there is cool, the people there are cool too they make you feel welcome like family not like some other places I've been to. Long story short BLVD is a great place to chill n have a good time. Be respectful to the staff and patrons and they will treat you the same :) Shout out to the bartenders for always making sure everyone is taken care of Turtle, Flea, Sabrina, Amanda, Dee, Tiff and Stephanie! Really great bar. I wish they were allowed to open, but in the meantime you can support their location in the OC which is open outdoors. Place gets packed on the weekends but well worth it if you get there early enough. Karaoke and great vibes in the evenings during the weekend. During the week the locals are so welcoming. People often make food to share with the entire bar. People of all colors, ethnicities and creeds are patrons of this bar. No one is left to feel out of place. Owners, bartenders, and staff are always on top of anyone getting out of line and making this bar as welcoming as possible. On top of all that, drink prices are reasonable. I've came here only once, and it was on a Wednesday night. For it being a Wednesday, all the bar seats were taken, I was pretty surprised, but we were able to easily find a table. As for drinks, I had the Mari Fruta and it was way too good. I'm not a fruity drinks kind of person, but that drink was amazing, it tasted just like that sandia flavored Mexican lollipop minus the chili. I only had 2 of these, and they crept up on me later down the evening, so be careful, haha! As for the service, we had to go up to the bar to get any drinks we wanted, I didn't see waitresses doing rounds on the floor. Overall, I liked it. Will be coming back. read more

Great atmosphere, drinks are priced well, and a good selection of bottled and canned beers in addition to the usual Coors, Buds, Coronas, etc. Even though it's considered a "dive" bar, it's probably the best well kept, clean, and nicely decorated of any of the little neighborhood bars I've been in. Up to date TVs, refinished pool table, and an electronic jukebox that actually plays good music! Haha! The owners are great, making sure people are comfortable and having a good time.
