Alternate location for Human Robot…read more The best part of the experience is the space. It's enormous with a lot of different seating options, including booths, couches, bar seats, and a nice outdoor stool area. The music was LIT, a most random choice of 2000s emo. It wasn't super crowded when we went so super easy to get service. It's combined with a bagel place and not sure how appealing that would be for like later in the day beers. The main drawback is the beer options itself: about 7 options and a wide gamut of things but nothing overall so so appealing.

A friend of mine lives in Fishtown and says this is his go-to spot it the HR closer to him so we walked in with high expectations. We knew their beer selection from looking online, but they were happy to break it down and answer any questions. My coworker and I both enjoyed a Rangi New Zealand Pilsner (but we saw our other colleagues enjoying a variety of other drinks). It's located in a sort of office building that makes it a little tricky to find, but there is a nice outside patio where you can see the Schuykill River (we saw lightening too haha). We'll definitely be back and recommend folks to check this spot out as well!

First, I always appreciate an open-kitchen concept I feel that it bridges the gap between consumers and staff and produces a family setting. We ordered a burger(can't remember the name) and a chicken sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. The burger had one of the best medium-cooks I've ever had, medium is tough to achieve. Fries were crispy and not overly salted. We unfortunately had an issue where the burger came out 15 minutes after the chicken sandwich, our server was very apologetic. +Customer service was amazing all-around +Restaurant was clean and well stocked +Great for groups, sports watch parties +Prices are average +No parking I hope you enjoy!

I was told I could sign up for the new rewards club/..but I have a feeling I won't be back...so no harm ...no foul! The space in Center City is unchanged! Some of the menu items returned...Calamari...Wings & Burgers. Sadly the food was lukewarm warm...only thing hot was the wings and I think they didn't bring the other food out waiting on the wings? Mistake! I believe that this location will fair well by default...it is in Center City...tourists will stop in and this will sustain them for a while...but I hope that the issues I shared will be reconciled during this soft open and the establishment will bring top tier hospitality.

Dear reader, We went…read moreto City Tap in Philly with a large group just for drinks and had a thoroughly good time. The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The bartenders were helpful and kept things moving impressively well, even with a group our size, which was much appreciated. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC. A lively, well-run spot for drinks and groups, and one we would happily return to.

The first thing I did was head straight for my favorite, Cantillon from Belgium. This visit, I tried their Kriek LG, a fruited lambic made by adding sour cherries to a two-year-old aged lambic. All I can say is... WOW! Tart, complex, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. If beer could win an Academy Award, this one would be giving an acceptance speech. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels, and they were absolutely outstanding. The broth was packed with flavor, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They easily rank in the top five mussel dishes I've ever had, and I've done my research! Pro tip: Don't make the rookie mistake of eating all the bread first. Save some for the end so you can soak up every last drop of that incredible curry broth at the bottom of the bowl. Trust me, you'll thank me later. The service is always excellent. John usually takes care of us in the back, and he consistently makes the experience even better with great recommendations and friendly service. In side is cozy and friendly! If you live in Philly and haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Great beer, amazing food, and outstanding service--this place checks every box. Just be warned: one visit and you'll be planning your next trip back before you even leave.

Since the bar seats were full, we had the choice to head all the way to the 2nd rear bar. We took the short journey to the secluded small bar that was also full and took refuge at one of the four tables. We took a look at the "Beer Bible" or their version of a drink menu. The bartender informed us that we could not sit at the table unless we were ordering food. At this point we ended our pub crawl and left defeated scratching our heads. This was far from a classy place without a line out the door during the week which made it even more alarming. Interesting experience as our last taste of Philly.

And also a lot of options for flights and stuff like that. My boyfriend and I were pretty hungry by the time we came in so we ordered the burgers since our server said they were known for them. We were so disappointed when they came out - they were literally the blandest burgers I have ever tasted in my life. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice though. They have outdoor seating for when the weather is nice and a LOT of seating inside. It's almost set up like a giant cafeteria so there is a lot of space for big parties. Overall, I'd come here to get a couple drinks with my friends and maybe an appetizer or two. But don't expect the food to be anything great.
