My partner and I recently stopped by plata before some errands since it was along the way. I love how easily accessible it is off paseo. Staff are all very welcoming. The variety of coffees are good as well as the pastries. Hope to make it back for one of their game nights. I love their events. I had been by earlier this year with a friend for the puppy bowl with pups available for adoption. Plus they have some pretty sweet merch. I'd gotten one of their mugs for a friend as a gift back when they were at Sawmill and my partner got themselves a keychain this last visit. Definitely a go to spot for a cute coffee shop date if you are on the west side.

After getting an treat from the pastry place next door, I wanted to get a coffee to go with it. So, after looking at the menu, and help from the staff because the lighting and size of lettering to see the menu was a little difficult for me....I got a small chocolate latte. Service was quick, friendly and coffee was delicious. Just the right amount temperature, sweetness and whip at the top. Perfect combination with my sweet treat.

Located in Sawhill Market in Old Town ABQ. It's on the east end, next to a patisserie (whoops, yeah, now you're REALLY tempted, aren't ya!)

Smells great. As in the stand manages to smell like a coffee perfumery EVEN within a big open indoor market (food court.) Fantastic and friendly service - they made a fantastic Columbia med/dark Aeropress for me. Located on the far east wall of the market, next to a patisserie (whoops, yeah, now you're REALLY tempted, aren't ya!)

This is a great find! This shop is located within Sawmill Marketplace, in the back right corner from the front entrance. Quality coffee, great options. We had a honey turmeric latte with oat milk, and an Americano. We also bought a bag to bring home, which they ground for us to take home and brew! Would definitely be back and recommend to other if you're near by.

Beautifully presented! It was $6.5 for the 20 oz so I guess it was on the pricier end but I don't mind it since I am not going to order from them regularly. I can see how the coffee seemed weaker for some people. I was glad it wasn't too strong since coffee can make my stomach upset sometimes. I liked how it tasted. Sweet enough but not too sweet! The service was very quick as well. I did manage to go there when there wasn't a long line. When I go to Sawmill next time, I will stop by again!

Stoped here for post lunch coffee. I tried the cortado and wish the coffee was strong. It also has more milk relative to coffee shot.

This is the 3rd time I visited this coffee shop. It is located inside of the Sawmill Marketplace. The staff is super friendly every time I visit. They offer contact less payment which is great especially these days. I fell in love with their tea, since they offer it iced as well. The first couple of visits, I tried the Chai Tea latte (iced) the first two times I visited here. The iced Chai is my favorite. Today, I tried their Match Green Tea latte (iced). It was a little strong for me, but I still enjoyed it. Next time, I'll ask for some sweetener, since it was served unsweetened. I have yet to try their iced coffees, but I'm pretty sure it'll be just as good as the teas.

By far one of my favorite coffee shops in ABQ. The service was great and the coffee was even better. It's a small place, but it's very well taken care of. This is in the Sawmill Market and there's a large sitting area outside which makes it easy to enjoy your coffee.

Seasonal: Campfire Latte w/ a triple shot
    El D.

First time in this coffee joint and wanted to try something different so I went with the seasonal option. Today, it was the campfire latte, I got a medium size w/ a triple shot. It was on cue, not too sweet the way a latte is meant to be. I didn't try their other offerings but their seasonal option is where it's at as it gives you a unique flavor that goes in line with the times. The Saw Mill Market lends itself for snackaroos to pair up with this caffeine-packed indulgence. If you're a coffee fan, stop by and enjoy.

Friendly service and faces always warm up a cold morning, and we definitely got that at Los Ranchos Bakery. The menu is simple and the baked goods look great! We ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and green chile cheddar bagel, a lavender latte, and a red chile mocha. A cherry tart and a cinnamon roll to go. The drinks were, unfortunately, missing a few ounces and flavor. The sandwiches were smaller than I expected. The bagel had a hint of heat and chile. It was perfectly toasted and held the egg and bacon quite well. The bacon was crispy and the egg was well done. It was filling in the end. The baked goods will have to wait until tonight but I've had their scones before and they were excellent! I'm betting on excellence on the tart and cinnamon roll. Overall, this is a nice local coffee shop that can be a great alternative to a chain coffee shop. The space is nice for some work or chatting with friends and family. Don't bet on the coffee, but definitely go for the baked goods!

This place definitely falls into the first category. This morning I went with the single origin Guatemala drip, and it was exactly what a solid cup of coffee should be. Smooth, rich, and balanced with a nice chocolate note that hangs around just long enough to make you take another sip. No bitterness. No burnt taste. Just a clean, well-roasted cup that says someone here actually cares about the beans. The shop itself has a personality, which I always appreciate. It's decorated with fishing lures, fish artwork, and sculptures scattered around the place. Naturally this leads to the obvious conclusion: the owner is either an avid fisherman... or coffee roasting is just the side hustle between trout expeditions. Either way, the theme works. The space feels relaxed, creative, and comfortable. The kind of place where you can sit with a cup and not feel rushed out the door. And speaking of doors, while I was there there was a steady flow of customers coming in and out. That's usually the universal coffee signal for yep, this place is doing something right. Bottom line: Great coffee, cool atmosphere, and a shop with enough character to keep things interesting. I'll definitely be back for another cup of that Guatemala.
